Chapter 13 Team Up to Fool the Headmaster
The sign swayed in the sunlight.
There were no complicated patterns on it, just a simple engraving of a hammer.
The hammer had a simple and ancient design, yet it exuded a domineering aura as if it could shatter the sky.
Anyone who had spent a few years in the world of Soul Masters would recognize this symbol; it belonged to the once number one sect in the world, the Clear Sky Sect.
"How about it? Is this approach wild enough?" Wang Dong'er raised her chin, her beautiful pink-blue eyes filled with smugness that seemed to say, "Come beg me to take you on a ride."
She didn't explicitly say what it was, but she was betting that Dai Huabin wouldn't recognize it, or that if he did, he would be shocked.
Zhu Zhuqing and Cui Yajie leaned over for a look, their faces blank.
It's normal that the Clear Sky Sect, having lived in seclusion for so long, couldn't remember everything.
Xiao Xiao blinked her big eyes, stood on tiptoe and looked for a long time but couldn't figure it out. She wondered to herself if it was a VIP membership card from some blacksmith shop.
Dai Huabin, however, had a truly fascinating expression on his face, mainly because he was trying to hold back his laughter.
Of course he knew that it was the Clear Sky Token. As the little princess of the Clear Sky Sect, it would be a miracle if Wang Dong'er didn't have this privilege.
But he deliberately ignored it, merely glancing at it lightly, his tone indifferent:
"Hmm, it's quite exquisite, and the workmanship is good. Alright, since you have connections, then follow along."
After saying that, Dai Huabin turned and left, his golden hair drawing a clean arc in the air, giving Wang Dong'er no chance to show off.
"Huh? You!" Wang Dong'er felt like she had punched cotton, her breath caught in her chest, neither rising nor falling.
Is this blondie really stupid or just pretending?
"Dong'er, is that token really that powerful?" Xiao Xiao tugged at Wang Dong'er's sleeve and asked in a low voice.
"Powerful? That's..."
Just as Wang Dong'er was about to explain the fame of the Clear Sky Sect, Dai Huabin's voice drifted over again.
"The Academic Affairs Office has a ten-minute break. If we go late, Director Du will go for tea, and we'll have to stand guard at the main gate."
"You damn blondie, you're ruthless!"
Wang Dong'er stomped her foot angrily, grabbed Xiao Xiao, and chased after them.
"Let's go! I refuse to believe we can't handle him! We'll go to Class 9 too, and hang around under his nose every day, driving him crazy!"
Zhu Zhuqing and Cui Yajie exchanged a glance, both seeing the helplessness in each other's eyes, but could only hurry to catch up.
The group of five marched through Shrek Square and headed straight for the administration building.
The number of people turning their heads to look along the way was off the charts.
Dai Huabin himself had an imposing, noble appearance. He was accompanied by the aloof Zhu Zhuqing and the charming Cui Yajie, while behind them were the stunningly beautiful and arrogant Wang Dong'er and the soft and cute Xiao Xiao.
This setup practically screamed "I'm the protagonist!"
Xiao Xiao followed at the back of the group, her big, dark green eyes darting around Dai Huabin.
She had heard many rumors about Dai Huabin before enrolling in school.
The second young master of the White Tiger Duke's mansion was said to be eccentric, ruthless, and willing to do anything to win.
Yesterday, when Wang Dong'er returned to her dorm, she also complained about him, saying that he was an out-and-out hooligan, pervert, and shameless flirt.
But Xiao Xiao was a little confused right now.
The boy in front of her stood up straight, walked with a brisk pace, spoke to Zhu Zhuqing in a gentle tone, and even considerately slowed down to match her pace.
Faced with Wang Dong'er's provocation, he remained calm and composed, as if he were a magnanimous person who would not hold a grudge.
"How is this like being a pervert?"
Xiao Xiao had some doubts in her heart.
"He's clearly a very refined young nobleman. Could it be that Dong'er has taken a liking to him, and that's why she's so angry?"
Xiao Xiao felt she had discovered a blind spot.
The Academic Affairs Office was located on the top floor of the main teaching building.
Dai Huabin knocked gently on the door and then called out, "Dai Huabin, a freshman, requests an audience with Director Du."
A steady "Come in" came from inside.
The five people filed in.
Behind the large desk, Du Weilun, the Dean of Studies, was reviewing files with his head down.
Hearing the noise, he looked up and saw this scene, and his eyebrows twitched involuntarily.
Goodness, he recognized all of these people.
Dai Huabin, a direct descendant of the White Tiger Duke's Mansion, had extremely impressive entrance exam results.
Zhu Zhuqing, the daughter of the Netherworld Cat family.
These two were definitely a perfect match for a Martial Soul Fusion Skill.
Then, looking at the girl with pink and blue hair behind them, Du Weilun's eyes narrowed; it was Wang Dong'er.
The one the Clear Sky Sect specifically instructed them to pay close attention to.
As for the remaining two, although they were not as illustrious, there were not many mediocre talents who could enter Shrek Academy.
"Are you all... here to drop out of school together?" Du Weilun pushed up his glasses and made a not-so-funny joke.
"Director Du is joking."
Dai Huabin stepped forward and gave a proper bow.
"We're here to apply for a class transfer."
"Transferring classes?"
Du Weilun put down his pen.
"The class assignment for freshmen was a well-considered decision by the academy."
"Dai Huabin, you, Zhu Zhuqing, and Cui Yajie are in Class 5, while Wang Dong'er and Xiao Xiao are in Class 1."
"This is the optimal arrangement based on your Spirit characteristics and potential. Why switch?"
Before Dai Huabin could speak, Wang Dong'er couldn't help but interject:
"I don't think Class 1 is right for me. I heard that Teacher Zhou Yi really likes to physically punish students, and I don't want to suffer like that!"
Du Weilun's face darkened: "Student Wang Dong'er, watch your words."
Wang Dong'er pouted and slammed the Clear Sky Token on the table:
"Anyway, I'm not going to Class 1, I'm going to Class 9!"
Du Weilun glanced at the token, and his eye twitched slightly.
These rich kids were really hard to deal with.
Seeing this, Dai Huabin quickly took over the conversation. After all, he was here to get things done, not cause trouble.
He wore that signature, insincere smile that made people feel like they were basking in a warm breeze.
"Director Du, please don't mind Wang Dong'er's quick temper. Actually, we want to transfer to Class 9, and we have very good reasons."
"Oh? Tell me."
"There are two main points."
Dai Huabin held up two fingers.
"First, Zhu Zhuqing and I need a special training environment for our Martial Soul Fusion Technique. Class 5's teaching style leans toward theory, while Class 9 focuses more on practical combat, which better suits our needs."
"Second..."
Dai Huabin paused deliberately, his gaze falling on the sofa in the corner of the office.
There sat a female teacher organizing her lesson plans.
She looked to be about twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, wearing a well-tailored teacher's uniform, with her long hair tied up, a pretty face, and a gentle yet capable demeanor.
It was Mu Jin, the homeroom teacher of Class 9.
Dai Huabin turned around, bowed deeply to Mu Jin, and spoke with utmost sincerity:
"Actually, the main reason is that we have long admired Teacher Mu Jin."
These words stunned not only Du Weilun, but even Mu Jin herself.
She pointed to her nose:
"Me? Admire me?"
"Of course!"
Dai Huabin lied without batting an eye, not even blushing.
"I did my research before coming to the academy."
"I've heard that Teacher Mu Jin is humble, has excellent teaching methods, is not only highly skilled, but also treats her students with the warmth of a spring breeze."
"Unlike some teachers who only know corporal punishment and exploitation, we children who have left home for school yearn most for this kind of guidance from a good teacher and mentor!"
These words were extremely lethal.
