Chapter 13 - The first Kiss

Keifer's POV – The Catch by the Waist

Jay stepped into his cabin, folder in hand. "Sir, I just need your signature on this," she said, placing the document neatly on his desk.

Keifer's gaze scanned her, dark and calculating. He signed the papers quickly, eyes never leaving hers.

As she turned to leave, her heel caught the edge of the rug, and she stumbled. Without thinking, he reached out and caught her by the waist, steadying her against him.

"Careful," he murmured, voice low and teasing.

Jay's heart skipped. "Th-thank you, sir," she whispered, cheeks burning. She stepped back slightly, flustered, and quickly left—but not without leaving him with the memory of her warmth pressed briefly against him.

Keifer smirked to himself. Delicate. Flustered. And completely irresistible.

Keifer's POV – Calling Her Back

Later, he sent a simple message: Jay, come to my cabin. I need your help with tomorrow's schedule.

Her reply was almost immediate: Yes, sir.

When she returned, folder in hand, Keifer didn't sit. He stood, letting the space between them shrink, his presence magnetic and impossible to ignore.

Keifer's POV – Flirtation and Kiss

"You know," he murmured, voice low, teasing, "you have a way of making even the simplest tasks… incredibly distracting."

Jay's pulse raced. "I—I'm just doing my job, sir," she stammered, cheeks flushed, trying to focus on the documents.

He stepped closer, brushing her hand lightly, lingering just enough to make her shiver. "Distracting… and utterly irresistible," he whispered, his dark gaze locking on hers.

Before she could reply, he leaned in, capturing her lips in a hot, possessive kiss. Jay froze for a heartbeat… then kissed him back, her hands instinctively pressing against his chest. The moment was electric—hot, raw, and completely consuming.

Her heartbeat pounded against his, every nerve alive with desire. Keifer's hands slid gently around her waist, pulling her closer, deepening the kiss. Their breaths mingled, rapid and shallow, the world outside the cabin disappearing completely.

When they finally broke apart, foreheads resting together, Keifer's eyes were dark, intense, and smoldering.

"You're… mine to notice," he murmured, his voice low, almost a growl.

Jay's lips tingled, chest heaving, cheeks flaming. "Y-yes…" she whispered, unable to form more words, completely lost in the heat of the moment.

The air between them was charged, unspoken desire and possessive tension swirling like fire around them.
