Keifer's POV – Breaking the Rules
The office was quiet, but the tension between him and Jay was thick enough to feel it in the air. That kiss… it kept replaying in his mind, and now watching her fidget slightly as she handed him a report, he couldn't resist.
"Jay," he began, voice low, teasing, "I think it's time you stop calling me 'sir.'"
Her pulse jumped. "I… I can't, sir—"
He cut her off with a smirk, leaning just slightly closer, letting his presence brush against hers. "No. I mean it. Call me… Keifer."
Her cheeks flushed a deep red. "Keifer… okay," she whispered, voice trembling slightly. The word felt strange yet intimate on her lips.
Jay's POV – Heart Racing
Her heartbeat thundered in her chest. The sound of his name, the closeness of his body—it made her knees weak. She tried to focus on the documents, tried to pretend this was still just work, but she couldn't.
Keifer… just saying it feels… dangerous.
Keifer's POV – Closing the Gap
He noticed every tremor, every small reaction. Slowly, deliberately, he leaned closer, so their arms brushed. "Much better," he murmured, smirk teasing.
Jay tried to step back slightly, but he subtly closed the distance again. "You have no idea," he whispered, dark eyes locking with hers, "how much I've wanted to hear that from you."
Her pulse spiked. She could barely speak, only nodding, lips parted slightly.
The Close Moment
They stayed like that for a few long seconds, the air around them charged with desire and teasing. Every brush of his hand, every lean closer, made her feel like the office was shrinking to just the two of them.
The line between boss and secretary had blurred completely, and neither wanted to cross back.
