The morning sun spilled into the Jeon estate, casting a warm glow on polished floors and tall windows. Lord Jeon Seonghwan sat quietly in the study, eyes following Jungkook and Yoongi as they prepared for the lecture of the day.
Jungkook hummed softly while arranging brushes, and Yoongi stood nearby, calm and composed. Seonghwan's gaze lingered a little longer than usual.
"So that's their routine", he thought silently. He didn't intervene—not yet. Not during the day.
After the lectures, when the estate had quieted and shadows stretched across the hallways, Jungkook approached Yoongi near the side gate.
"You ready for tonight?" Yoongi asked softly, voice low.
"I am," Jungkook said, tightening his cloak. "Thanks… again."
Yoongi gave a small nod, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly in a restrained smile.
"Be careful," he said. "Don't get too distracted by… everything else."
Jungkook grinned. "I'll try not to."
With that, he scaled the wall and slipped into the night.
But the shadows were not empty this time.
The estate guards had been alerted, and before Yoongi could even step back, strong hands seized him. He struggled for a moment, calm only in his eyes.
"Lord Jeon—" Yoongi said, voice steady, though he was being led away. "I suppose this is… inevitable."
The guards ignored him and took him straight to the estate jail, the iron bars clanging softly as they closed the door behind him.
Meanwhile, Jungkook joined his friends in the quiet courtyard outside the estate walls. The night was clear, stars twinkling above as the group laughed softly, sharing teasing words and gentle jokes.
"You really dragged him out of bed again?" Hoseok asked, still laughing.
"He's always watching me," Jungkook replied with a grin. "And he smiles sometimes, so… worth it."
"Smiles?" Jimin snorted. "We need proof of that!"
Jungkook rolled his eyes, laughing, and nudged Taehyung lightly. "You saw it too."
Taehyung chuckled, shaking his head. "It was… cute."
The group fell into comfortable conversation, teasing, joking, sharing stories about their mischievous adventures during the day. For a moment, the night felt infinite, peaceful, and free.
But as the moon climbed higher, Jungkook found himself leaning closer to Taehyung.
"Taehyung…" Jungkook whispered, heart pounding. "I… I can't hide it anymore."
Taehyung's eyes widened slightly, softening as he whispered back. "What is it?"
"I… I like you. More than a friend," Jungkook admitted, his voice barely above the wind. "I've liked you for a long time… and I don't care about the clans, or the rules. I just—"
Taehyung reached out and cupped Jungkook's face gently. "I've liked you too. Always."
Time seemed to pause as they shared their first kiss, soft and tender beneath the quiet stars.
The friends froze for a moment, wide-eyed, mouths slightly open.
Jimin finally blurted out, voice a mixture of shock and awe, "Woah… you two kissed! That's… that's… not good, I guess?"
Hoseok laughed nervously, scratching the back of his head. "I mean… it's sweet and all, but—yeah… maybe not the best idea?"
Namjoon shook his head, but a small grin tugged at his lips. "It's cute… but seriously, what would the clans say?"
Seokjin stepped forward, crossing his arms but smiling warmly at Jungkook and Taehyung. "We are your friends," he said firmly. "And friends… always support each other."
Jungkook and Taehyung both glanced at him, hearts warming.
Hoseok added quietly, "The only problem… is whether the families would approve. This is new relationship both man"
The whole group looking at him with some sharp eyes
Hoseok laugh nervously "Yeah.. I suppose I must shut my mouth"
The group fell silent for a moment, the reality settling in. But the silence wasn't cold—it was protective.
Jimin finally spoke, softer this time, almost shyly. "Still… I think it's kind of… cute."
Namjoon chuckled, shaking his head. "Yeah. It's reckless, but… kind of perfect for you two."
Taehyung squeezed Jungkook's hand lightly, leaning closer. "Don't worry," he whispered. "Right now, we have tonight. That's enough."
Jungkook smiled, feeling a mix of relief and happiness. "Yeah… tonight is enough."
Seokjin clapped his hands softly. "Just remember, we've got your back. Always. No matter what the elders think."
And as the night deepened, the friends laughed, teased, and shared quiet stories, while Jungkook and Taehyung stayed close—hearts beating fast, but safe in each other's presence.
Even if the future held challenges, for now, they had this moment, this night, this gentle rebellion under the same moon.
