Chapter 34 - Report 28- Social Service

Shizuoka Prefecture, Omaezaki. Some warehouse late at night.

"So are they going tomorrow?" said a man in snazzy attire.

"Yeah, some guys are coming down from Oyama to get the cargo." Said a man in a simple suit attire.

"Oyama!? There are dealers in that small ass town?"

"That's what Hideaki said."

"Man!" He sits down. "So we just gotta sit here Michi?"

"You know how it is, Katashi." Said Michi.

"Ugh!! Whatever Michi! Turn on the tv, I made some bets on the game."

"Katashi you know you lost 30k last time on bets." Michi turns on the large wide-screen curved tv. "That's why you're here."

"I know I can make it big!! Just one time and I can get all my money back! I know it!"

"You wanna call Isamu, Kiyoshi, Kyo, Noburu, and Hikari over to watch as well?"

"Yeah let me—"

The power of the warehouse turned off.

"Hm?" Katashi wondered aloud.

They waited in the darkness, expecting the power to return, but it remained elusive.

"God dammit!! Alright, I'll go check on the power," said Katashi, frustration lacing his voice.

"I'll go get the others," Michi volunteered.

"Alright, you got your radio?"

"Hm." He nods.

Katashi and Michi ventured cautiously into the dimly lit warehouse, their flashlights cutting through the oppressive darkness.

Tap~

Tap~

A sense of unease settled upon them, as they traversed the labyrinthine corridors.

Tap~

Tap~

As they explored, the silence weighed heavy on their shoulders. The vast emptiness of the warehouse seemed to amplify their footsteps, creating an atmosphere of isolation and vulnerability.

'I don't like this.' Thought Katashi.

After what felt like an eternity, they reached the power room. Katashi examined the control panel, hoping to find a simple solution to the power outage.

"I'm at the thing." Katashi informed the others.

"What do you see?" Michi asked over the radio.

Katashi's brow furrowed.

"I'm not sure. It looks like something has caused a major malfunction. We might need to call an electrician."

"Really!? I thought you were an electrician before?"

"I was! This shit is just that old!"

Just as he said that they heard a distant noise—a faint scuffling sound coming from somewhere in the warehouse.

"Did you hear that?" Michi asked, his voice filled with apprehension.

Katashi's eyes darted around the room.

"Yeah… be on guard, could be some vigilante or something. If we both heard it then there must be more than one."

"Got it."

As they continued their inspection, the scuffling sounds grew louder and more distinct, accompanied by occasional metallic clinks and rattling noises. The air seemed to thicken with an eerie tension, heightening their senses.

"Dammit." Katashi said under his breath. "Where are you guys?"

Unease gnawed at his guts, but he tried to dismiss it as his imagination playing tricks on him. However, an unshakable feeling of being watched made the hair on the back of his neck stand on end.

"I don't like this," Michi whispered over the radio, casting nervous glances over his shoulder while walking slowly.

"Me neither," Katashi admitted, his voice hushed. "Let's hurry and regroup with the others."

Just as he turned to leave, a loud crash echoed through the warehouse followed by the sound of hurried footsteps.

CRASH!!

THUD~!

THUD~!

THUD~!

Startled, They quickly made their way back to where the power first went off. Their hearts pounding with a mix of fear and anticipation.

"What was that!?" Whispered Michi.

"I don't know! None of the guys are here!?"

Katashi looked around to find only him and Michi, the room they were in was the location where everyone should gather in case of emergencies.

In the dimly lit expanse of the warehouse, they caught sight of fleeting shadows darting between the towering stacks of crates and containers. Fear gripped them as they realized they were not alone.

"W-what was that!" Michi darts his eyes around.

"… Let's leave, we'll just run for it. We go on three."

"One."

"Two."

"Three!"

They both stepped forward, shoulder to shoulder and ran.

Tap-Tap-Tap-Tap!!

Tap-Tap-Tap-Tap!!

Tap-Tap-Tap-Tap!!

Their pace quickened, urgency propelling their steps as they raced towards the exit. They could hear their friends shouting and calling out to them, their voices filled with alarm and confusion.

Finally, they burst out of the warehouse, gasping for breath and relieved to be in the open air.

"Huff!! Huff!! Huff!! Huff!!"

Once they caught their breath they could see only a teenage girl with her arms behind her back, probably in her early teens and puberty by the size of her chest and size.

She had beautiful white hair that faded into red with the wind blowing, her eyes golden with slit pupils. Her armor had also changed to fit her newly grown body.

"Hello~!" She said cheerfully.

"Uhh…." The two men look at one another.

"Goodbye." She showed her hands to reveal two very fairytale-esque swords, ornated in blue and gold with a blue glow.

"Shi—"

Stap-Stap!!

She stabbed both men before they could even process and think about blinking, moving as if she was on a conveyor belt.

"Uuu…" They both died shortly thereafter.

"Oy!!" She shouted out as her weapons vanish.

Thud!

Thud!

The two men fall flat on the ground as a pool of blood grows around them.

"I got the stuff and cash!!" Albert said in all black, coming out of the warehouse with the other men in tow. "I left a cellphone flash light on the crates you should take; I reinforced them with some iron bars."

"I'll go get it and we can be off!" She said flying in slowly.

"Yeah, I'll just dispose of these guys."

Mélusine heads on in while Albert undressed the men.

"~♪ ~♪" Albert was singing a tune as he takes their clothes off and begins to rip their limbs off like the tear off parts of a ketchup packet.

Rip~ Spurt!

Rip~ Spurt!

Rip~ Spurt!

He would then toss them far into the sea and stack their clothes in a pile, tied neatly in a package.

After about an hour of doing this Albert was finished, as was Mélusine having taken the stuff back home.

"Done!" Mélusine said. "We got all of their cash and appliances!"

Nice! Some last things to do, mind if you drop these off far into the seabed, do you?"

"Nope!" She takes the clothes and quickly flies away.

"Now the blood…" Albert looks at the blood and sighs. "Eh… I fried the wires and even corrupted the surveillance."

Albert went through every possible thing they could have both in and around the area they were in or any place that has a camera angled at this warehouse.

"I'm back!" Mélusine said dry as can be.

Seeing her an idea came to him.

"Then one last thing, blow this fucker up!"

Her face lit up. Finally she can blow something up using a move she named.

"Yes!!"

Albert gets on her back, and she flies high into the air before looking back down on the warehouse. Mélusine had a large intake of air, her cheeks ballooned and then she shouted:

"<>!!" A beam of concentrated light came down and blew up the warehouse.

Boom!!!

The city shook, breaking tons of windows and starting car alarms.

'Good thing I planned it when there were no satellite in—Shit we need to move!'

"Go! Go! Before we are seen by someone or by satellite!"

"Hang on!!"

Whoosh!!!

Mélusine flies back home quickly to their loot.
