Chapter 74 - Luo feng explain the Past

The guild hall was deathly silent, every weapon still pointed at Luo Feng.

He stood completely still, his expression calm and steady, even with dozens of blades and spells aimed at his heart. He looked around at the gathered adventurers, the Guild Master, and the young receptionist, then spoke in his usual quiet, clear voice.

"I will explain everything."

He began from the beginning.

He told them how he had been summoned to this world by the Goddess of Light along with five others, but was thrown away into the Forbidden Forest because he was "useless." He spoke about how he survived alone for months using only his own skills, how he found the tiny poor village of Eden, and how he helped them grow crops, build a pond, and bring prosperity.

Then his voice grew quieter, but no less steady.

"One day, the five heroes and their soldiers ran into our village while being chased by a Demon General and his horde. Instead of fighting to protect us, they used the villagers as living shields. They pushed men, women, and children into the path of the monsters so they could escape. My wife… Miya… was pregnant with our child. She tied our little sister Suki to a horse and sent her away to find me. Then the monsters came. They cut my wife in half. They slaughtered everyone — two hundred souls. Some were torn apart, some burned alive, some crushed under their own burning homes. I returned weeks later… and found only graves."

The entire hall was speechless.

Many adventurers lowered their weapons slightly, faces pale. Some had tears in their eyes. The young receptionist at the desk suddenly broke down, covering her mouth as loud sobs escaped her.

"It's… it's too sad…!" she cried, tears streaming down her face. "I can't bear to listen… How could they cut his wife and unborn child in half…? Those heartless heroes… that cruel king… those soldiers… and even their Goddess! Their goddess is evil! Unlike our Goddess, who is full of love and righteousness!"

The Guild Master's silver sword slowly lowered. His elegant elven face was filled with heavy sorrow and quiet anger.

Feng continued without raising his voice.

"After that, I came here with Suki and Lina — my wife's friend who also survived. We are seeking a new life in this holy land, away from the corruption of the Dragon Kingdom."

He kept one important secret to himself: his reincarnation from another world, the ancient Evil God who had granted him skills, and the full truth about the Goddess's summoning. Those parts he did not mention.

A long, heavy silence filled the guild hall.

No one moved. The weapons were no longer pointed at him. Instead, many adventurers looked at the ground, fists clenched, hearts aching from the tragedy they had just heard.

The Guild Master finally sheathed his sword. His voice was low and respectful.

"…I apologize for drawing my weapon on you, Luo Feng. What you have endured is beyond words. You are welcome here in the Holy Kingdom. If the heroes or the Dragon Kingdom ever come looking for you, know that many of us will stand with you."

The young receptionist was still crying softly behind the desk.

Luo Feng bowed his head slightly, his face calm once again.

"Thank you."

The weight of his story hung in the air like a heavy fog. The Holy Kingdom's guild, known for its righteousness and healing, had just heard a tale that shook even its strongest members.
