Jay's POV
Last exam.
Finally.
"THIS IS FREEDOM DAY," Felix announced the moment we reached school.
David didn't even react. "Write the paper first."
Ci.n was holding his notes, still serious. "Revise once more."
Calix nodded. "Last push."
Drew stretched. "After this, I'm sleeping for two days."
Mayo: "After this, I'm eating for two days."
Eman: "Same."
Denzel stood calm as always. "Finish strong."
I smiled.
No panic today.
No stress.
Just… relief waiting on the other side.
"Ready?" Keifer asked, standing beside me.
"Yeah," I said. "This one I'll do well.
He smirked. "Of course you will."
"You're too confident in me."
"Because I'm right."
I rolled my eyes. "Let's see."
We went inside.
Sat down.
Paper in front.
I looked at it.
And smiled.
Easy.
Not too easy.
But perfect.
I started writing.
No stopping.
No overthinking.
Just flow.
Time passed fast.
And then—
"Pens down."
Done.
Actually done.
Outside—
"WE ARE FREEEEEE," Felix shouted, running across the corridor.
David: "Calm down."
Calix: "It's over."
Ci.n finally relaxed. "I did well."
Drew: "Same."
Mayo: "I survived again."
Eman: "Celebrate?"
Denzel: "Yes."
Everyone was smiling.
Laughing.
Lighter.
I walked out slowly.
And then—
Keifer.
Waiting.
Like always.
"How was it?" he asked.
"Good," I said. "Very good."
He nodded. "Told you."
"Okay, now you can stop being right."
"Never."
Everyone started planning instantly.
Felix: "PARTY."
David: "Of course."
Ci.n: "At my condo?"
Calix: "Again?"
Felix: "YES."
Mayo: "Food."
Eman: "Handled."
Denzel: "No chaos."
Everyone: "Chaos."
Time Skip – Evening, Ci.n's Condo
Music.
Lights.
Laughter.
Everyone was loud again.
Felix dancing like there was no tomorrow.
David judging him.
Ci.n trying to control everything but failing.
Calix chilling.
Drew joking.
Mayo eating.
Kit feeding him.
Denzel watching like a tired guardian.
And me?
Standing near the balcony.
Smiling.
Free.
Keifer's POV
She looked different.
Lighter.
Happy.
No stress.
No fear.
I walked toward her.
"Enjoying?" I asked.
She nodded. "Yeah."
"Good."
She turned to me. "You?"
"More now."
"Why?"
"Because you're smiling."
She paused.
"…You noticed everything."
"Only you."
She shook her head slightly, smiling.

Jay's POV
Why does he keep saying things like that.
I looked at him.
"…You're dangerous."
"How?"
"The way you talk."
He stepped closer.
"And yet you're still here."
I didn't move.
That's my answer.
Inside, Felix shouted, "Couple dance."
Everyone turned.
"No," I said instantly.
"Yes," Felix insisted.
David: "Let them breathe."
Felix: "No, let them dance."
Keifer looked at me. "Your choice."
I hesitated.
Then—
"…Fine."
Felix screamed. "YES."
Music slowed down slightly.
Not too romantic.
But enough
Keifer held my hand.
Pulled me closer.
Not too close.
But not far either.
"Relax," he said.
"I am relaxed."
"You're stiff."
"Because of you."
"Good."
I glared.
He smiled.
We moved slowly.
Not perfect.
Not planned.
Just… natural.
His hand shifted slightly to my waist.
Warm.
Steady.
My heart started racing again.
"This is weird," I whispered.
"No, it's not."
"Yes, it is."
"You're just not used to it."
"…Maybe."
Keifer's POV
She's overthinking again.
I leaned closer. "Stop thinking."
"Not possible."
"Try."
She looked at me.
And for a second—
She actually stopped.
Good.
Jay's POV
Everything felt slower.
The music.
The noise.
Even time.
Just him.
Close.
Looking at me like that.
Again.
Always like that.
"Keifer…" I whispered.
"Hmm?"
"This is too much."
"What is?"
"You."
He smiled slightly.
"Not stopping."
I exhaled softly.
"Idiot."
"Your idiot"
After some time, I stepped back.
"I need air."
"Again?"
"Yes."
He nodded. "Go."
I walked toward the hallway.
Quieter.
Dim lights.
Finally alone.
I leaned against the wall, taking a breath.
This day—
Too much.
Too many emotions.
Too much him.
Footsteps.
I didn't turn.
"…You said you needed air."
"I did."
Keifer.
Of course.
"You don't listen," I said.
"I listen. I just don't follow."
I smiled slightly.
He stepped closer.
Closer than before.
No noise.
No interruptions.
Just us.
"You're different today," he said.
"How?"
"Less scared."
I looked at him.
"…Because it's over."
"Good."
Silence.
Heavy.
Not awkward.
Just… intense.
"You know," I said softly, "you're the reason I didn't panic."
He paused.
"…Yeah?"
"Yeah."
That changed something.
I could see it.
His expression.
Softer.
Deeper.
He stepped closer again.
Now there was barely any space.
"You trust me that much?" he asked.
I nodded.
"Yes."
That word again
And then—
He pulled me closer.
This time—
Not stopping.
Not hesitating.
His hand firmly around my waist.
My back lightly against the wall.
My breath hitched.
"Keifer—"
Too late.
He kissed me.
Not soft this time.
Not slow.
Stronger.
Deeper.
Like he had been holding back all day.
My hand grabbed his shirt without thinking.
His hands going inside my t-shirt.
My heart racing fast.
Too fast.
Everything felt—
Intense.
Overwhelming.
But not wrong.
Never wrong.
He pulled back slightly.
"Still think I'm too much?" he whispered.
I was breathless.
"…Yes."
"Good."
And he kissed me again.
I pushed him lightly after a moment.
His hands foundy hook.
I know.he is losing control and I too but not this early.
"Wait."
He stopped immediately.
"Okay."
I looked at him.
"…We're not going too far."
He nodded.
"I know."
And that—
That mattered.
We stayed there for a second.
Foreheads almost touching.
Breathing uneven.
Smiling slightly.
"Come back," he said softly.
"Yeah."
Back to Chaos
Felix: "WHERE WERE YOU—"
David: "Leave them."
Calix smirked.
Ci.n pretended not to notice.
Drew definitely noticed.
Mayo was eating again.
Eman: "Eat."
Denzel: "Sit."
I sat down beside everyone.
Trying to act normal.
Failing.
Keifer sat next to me.
Too normal.
Suspiciously normal.
Felix leaned in. "Something happened."
"Nothing happened," I said.
"Liar.''
David smirked. "Obvious."
I threw a cushion at them.
But under the table—
His hand found mine again.
Warm.
Steady.
And this time—
I didn't let go.
