Synopsis
Wendy York took the tutoring job for the money. Her student, Eli Hayes, is a senior who's failing everything — math, English, motivation to exist in a classroom. Her job is simple: get his grades up before college entrance exams. “You don’t want to learn math, and you don’t want to learn English either. So, what exactly do you want to learn?” “What if whatever I want to learn, you will teach me?” “Nonsense, why else would I be here as your tutor?” “I want to learn how to kiss.” “……” Wendy looked seriously at Eli. “Sorry, I’ve never considered having a boyfriend younger than me.” Eli raised an eyebrow. "I'm younger by one hour." “Even a minute counts!” He leaned in with the kind of smile that made her forget she was supposed to be the responsible one. "Then maybe it's time to reconsider."

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Encountering a Puppy

In September, Silverwood was still somewhat hot. Vivian felt like she was about to evaporate from thirst when she stepped off the subway, but fortunately, there was a vending machine at the station exit.

She ran to the vending machine and looked it over, selected a bottle of mineral water, and was ready to open her smartphone for payment when she saw a line of small words appear on the screen:

This machine only supports cash payments.

No way!?

Vivian looked at the vending machine with despair. What era is this that they still only accept cash!? She only brought her smartphone when she went out today!

What to do??

Vivian looked eagerly at the bottle of mineral water in the vending machine, with the blazing sun over her head, feeling like she'd been wandering in the desert for forty-nine days, about to die of thirst.

Just when she was feeling down, a slender, fair hand suddenly reached over from beside her head, and immediately the sound of coins dropping into the machine echoed.

"Do you want this?" A deep, pleasant voice sounded by her ear, and the next second, the bottle of mineral water that had been in the vending machine fell out with a "bang."

What??

Vivian turned around in surprise, the dazzling sunlight streaming through the leaves of the plane trees on both sides of the road, casting a dappled shadow on the ground. The small and brilliant rays of sunshine fell on the boy standing behind her.

He was very tall with a lean build, wearing a simple white T-shirt and black athletic pants, standing straight in the sunlight, looking clean and refreshing.

The boy's fair and handsome cheeks held a pair of clear eyes that were sizing Vivian up, and at the moment she turned her head, his expression clearly faltered.

Wow, he's so handsome!

Vivian couldn't help but praise him in her heart, then smiled at the boy, "Thank you. Let me transfer the money to your phone."

"No need." A light blush appeared on the boy's delicate face. He bent over to take the bottle of mineral water from the vending machine's outlet, stuffed it into Vivian's hand, then casually bought himself a drink, nodded at Vivian, and walked away.

Vivian stood frozen in place, looking at the boy's silhouette gradually fading into the distance, holding back for a long time before finally bursting into laughter.

So cute, did he just blush?

Meanwhile, the boy who had walked away couldn't help but feel annoyed. What's going on? Looking at the back view before, it clearly seemed like a grade schooler hunched by the vending machine, but when she turned around…

In his mind appeared a pair of striking black-and-white eyes that were bright and clear, with black pupils that seemed almost to reflect his image.

Forget it, forget it, just consider it helping out a little kid.

Vivian, holding the bottle of mineral water, raised her head and looked at the light dancing through the gaps in the leaves, took a deep breath, trying to suppress the tiny bit of anxiety in her heart.

Though it was her first time being a tutor, fortunately, she had just completed the university admissions process, so she had fresh memories of all the senior year subjects, which gave her an absolute advantage.

But the student she was going to tutor, according to Professor Shaw, was quite a troublemaker, so when that kid sees her, it's unlikely they'll show any kindness.

But as long as it's not too much, she can still tolerate a bit.
