Chris was currently entangled in a battle with a giant snake, accompanied by Piers. This species of large snake was named the Phantom Snake, and each Phantom Snake possessed the ability to become invisible.
Many BSAA team members had died because of this monster, including the Silver Blade Squad. Many had already been swallowed by the giant snake.
"Piers, use the latest positioning to find that beast!" Chris roared, clearly annoyed.
"Headquarters called. They want us to rescue people first. Don't worry about the bioweapons," Piers said with difficulty.
"I said, kill them first! Haven't you seen how many people they've already eaten? If we ignore them, these beasts will develop feeding memories and target us. Do you want us to die?" Chris roared, displeased.
"You're being a bit extreme, Captain!" Piers also noticed Chris's unusual behavior; he seemed to harbor an abnormal hatred for bioweapons.
"Alright, you're the captain, I'll listen to you. Anyway, I'm planning to resign," Piers said indifferently. He still had a virus sample in his backpack that he had just confiscated.
Boom! The next second, a blast wave from an explosion sent the BSAA members flying towards the offshore area.
A skull emerged from the offshore area. This was another Chaos Beast, and the last one.
This particular Chaos Beast was not highly developed, only about fifty percent complete. Many parts didn't resemble a human at all; instead, it looked somewhat like a slug!
"Use electric shock!" Piers immediately thought of it. This was a method his sister, Sophia, had told him about.
Sophia had been saved by Eddie in North Africa and had worked for him ever since. Piers' military family had reservations about Sophia being pregnant out of wedlock, but out of deference to Eddie being the child's father, they hadn't punished her.
Crack! The Chaos Beast was fifteen meters tall, yet its speed was incredibly agile.
If Chris hadn't reacted quickly, he would have been swallowed whole!
Even so, he was slapped by its tail and sent flying from the near-shore beach back onto the land.
Just as he was about to fall into a zombie encirclement, a Dark skinned man grabbed Chris from the air.
"Long time no see, old friend!" Wesker wore sunglasses, and his crimson eyes emitted a strange glow beneath them.
"Hmph, Wesker!" Chris didn't reply. His resentment towards Wesker wouldn't disappear so quickly.
Chapter 642: Piers, Pikachu
"The fault isn't mine; I was merely a pawn. Now, I control my own destiny." Wesker pulled out his newly developed anti-bioweapon hand cannon, the Alberts Gun!
Chris stood up and broke the neck of a pouncing zombie with a rifle butt. "Hmph, prove yourself with actions. I don't want to be involved in your dirty dealings with official agencies. You're never worth forgiving!"
"Heh, really? Then why did Barry say you've been looking for me?" Wesker sneered, exposing his old rival.
"I'm just looking for revenge, hmph. After we deal with that monster, we can chat!" Chris pulled out a taser and began attacking the Chaos Beast near the beach.
"Idiot, we need to lure it near the power station, then detonate the power station to kill it!" Wesker scoffed, pulled out his pistol, and blew the heads off a string of zombies with a single shot.
The bullet passed through more than a dozen zombies, finally stopping when it hit a cocoons-turned-Scaled Rockman.
The Scaled Rockman, which even assault rifles couldn't penetrate, had an arm directly severed by the Alberts Gun, which still carried considerable force, causing it to let out a painful wail.
The enraged Scaled Rockman began to run, charging towards Wesker, its severed arm rapidly regenerating during the charge.
Facing the charging rockman, Wesker slightly lifted, then delivered a sudden downward whip kick. The immense force directly crushed the rockman to death.
Chris's eyes flickered a few times. As expected, the other party had indeed used the virus for enhancement.
"You succeeded? Are there no other side effects?" Chris shot and killed a zombie behind Wesker.
"Yes, it's not as perfect as Eddie's!" Even someone as arrogant as Wesker had to admit Eddie's talent; he truly was the strongest he had ever seen.
Nearly one-fifth of the cities in the A-San Region were razed to the ground, and the mastermind, Daniel, also died in the attack.
His revenge failed, and instead, Eddie seized the opportunity to instantly kill him.
He fought a rifle against a Gatling machine gun, losing due to inferior weapon hardware. His death was not unjust!
The four-day attack was eventually flattened by relying on missiles and military advancement.
Kailie was consolidating resources and arranging for core employees to leave, preparing to sell the company.
Since they weren't coming back, apart from Queen Island which could be kept as a memorial, all other assets should be converted into resources.
The space travel matters were left to Alex and her daughters, while Eddie watched Chris and Wesker fight side-by-side against Simmons, who had merged with the Chaos Beast, in their final battle on the East Coast.
To cover Chris's retreat, Piers had his right arm torn off by the Chaos Beast.
Even Wesker was overwhelmed; he was already considering retreating. Against such a monster, his individual strength was negligible.
Simmons was enormous, capable of throwing an eighty-ton main battle tank like a toy. Wesker couldn't do that.
Even a powerful punch only tickled it. Simmons didn't even put Wesker in his eyes; he was an unkillable entity now.
His sanity had vanished, and his so-called immortality was merely an extreme hatred for humanity.
In gradual shock, Piers took out an enhanced C-Virus and forcefully injected it into his severed arm.
Using his rationality to suppress his killing desire, he transformed into Pikachu, an electric mouse.
Chris, Piers, and Wesker formed a special squad and re-engaged Simmons.
A bizarre fleshy column, capable of discharging electricity, condensed from Piers' severed arm. High-intensity currents could break through Simmons' defenses, rapidly decomposing its muscle tissue.
The damaged cells had almost no chance of recovery, which caused Simmons' size to continuously shrink and its strength to decrease accordingly.
Repeated electrotherapy caused Simmons to feel the fear of death, making it want to turn and flee.
Wesker had already prepared an electromagnetic pulse device, using nuclear energy to heat it, delivering the final fatal blow to Simmons.
"Ah! You! You will all eventually become like me, dead!" Simmons' eyes were filled with immense rage as he gradually turned to dust in the scorching blue electric current.
After eliminating Simmons, Piers turned to leave without hesitation. He was no longer human, and staying with the BSAA would only make him an object for dissection and research.
"Piers, where are you going?" Chris ran over to stop 'Little Piers'.
"Leave, or die, hurry! I'm almost unable to suppress it. Before I go berserk, get away from me!" Piers pushed Chris, sending him twenty meters away. His invisible strength had increased to an exaggerated degree.
A gentle breeze blew, and Eddie appeared with Sophia.
"Sister, brother-in-law?" Piers still remembered his biological sister.
Sophia looked at her brother, circling Piers a few times. "Not bad, you've maintained your sanity. You can't live openly anymore; live as a superhuman. Your older sister is already married; the rest is up to you."
"You're too verbose. Let's save him first." Eddie stepped forward and gave Piers an injection.
Piers twitched a few times and began to cocoon.
After hanging Piers' cocoon beneath the plane, Eddie clapped his hands. "Let's go. The missile bombardment is coming. If you don't want to be buried with the city, then leave."
