"Not really." Jill didn't want to talk much to the man and kept close to her husband's steps.
Eddie squatted down to inspect the scene. The team members here had died after being attacked by some kind of monster. Judging by the appearance, it seemed to be a Licker!
Swoosh! At that moment, a tongue extended directly from afar. Eddie grabbed it and yanked the creature closer, raising his Desert Eagle and firing a shot at the suddenly appearing Licker.
Following the appearance of the first Licker, more Lickers, smaller in size but unusually swift, rushed out.
Jill and Hilda fought side by side, both women facing different directions. One used close combat, and the other used firearms, killing all the Lickers that pounced on them.
A figure hurriedly left the camp, but as soon as he turned, Eddie stopped him. "Where are you going, young man? Daddy is right here!"
This was a Dark skinned man, his eyes bloodshot, but unlike those irrational monsters, he still maintained sufficient rationality. "Get lost, or I'll kill you!"
Without a word, Eddie twisted the man's neck. The deceased Dark skinned man did not explode with parasites, but the Lickers in the camp began to wail in pain and finally shrieked to their deaths!
Chapter 532: Absolutely Forbidden Bold Ideas
Eddie carefully examined the corpse and pulled out a dead Las Plagas parasite from the raised area of the man's spine. This parasite was not a Dominant species Plaga, yet it possessed some of the Dominant species Plaga's advantages.
Jill and Sophia walked over, looking at the fallen man.
Sophia asked, puzzled, "Isn't this the South African ambassador who disappeared half a year ago?"
"The one rumored to have died during sex? Is there anything special about him?" Eddie frowned slightly.
"Nothing special, except that he was extremely disdainful of the biochemical weapon attacks at the time, and he looked down on East Asians," Sophia said with a hint of mockery in her tone.
"So, it seems he brought destruction upon himself? He died quite miserably and was even used." Eddie's eyes caught a glimpse of a figure flashing past behind a distant large tree, seeming to leave something behind.
"Not really. It's just one man who went missing; this hasn't affected anything," Sophia shook her head. "What do we do now?"
"We still have things to do. If you have the guts, you can stay. If you feel unsafe, then leave with us." After saying this, Eddie found a relatively intact car and got in.
Sophia didn't hesitate at all and chose to follow Eddie. She understood clearly that under these circumstances, only this man could protect her.
"Could you give me something to eat and drink? I haven't eaten in a while," Sophia said, neither humble nor arrogant.
Eddie threw her a pack of compressed biscuits and a bottle of water. "You owe me one."
After informing OBrien about the situation at the camp, Eddie also learned that Chris and the others were trapped.
The local armed forces seemed to be controlled by the Las Plagas parasite, surrounding the BSAA squad members in a village. They were sending people to rescue them. At the same time, they requested Eddie to escort Sophia to a safe location. It seemed Sophia's family held considerable influence.
"It looks like the BSAA cares about you quite a bit," Eddie chuckled.
Sophia drank the bottled water, finding the source sweet, unlike bottled purified water from the outside. The compressed biscuits were also delicious and not dry. "Our family assists the BSAA every year in selecting volunteers from the military forces of various regions. Their request for me is just a way to give an explanation to the family."
Eddie walked behind a large tree. A note had been left there, with a memory card taped behind it.
Reading it using his smartphone, the voices of William and Wesker appeared, and even that of a mysterious, unknown third party.
"You have informants?" Sophia asked, slightly curious.
"Even noble ladies know how to find lovers, so why be surprised about having an informant?" Eddie paid no mind and continued browsing the plan.
The information on the memory card was sparse, only mentioning the Uroboros Project, and that this location was merely a testing facility.
Stepping on the accelerator, Eddie drove directly to the Tricell outpost located in a swampy village.
The surrounding area smelled of decay. Sanitation in Africa has always been highly offensive. Since this place was relatively remote, naturally, few people were willing to come here.
As soon as they arrived, they heard a strange noise, as if someone was playing with something here.
Eddie picked up his gun and walked in. The village was deserted, so he fired two shots into the sky.
A rustling sound came, and a stitched-up hunting dog poked its head out to observe, then barked a few times toward the back.
A man wearing an ancient robe and carrying a backpack appeared, his eyes blood red. It was the Black market merchant from Salazar's castle on the Iberian Peninsula. "Hello, welcome. Is there anything you need?"
"Cut the act. What are you doing here?" Eddie waved his hand and tossed over a gold ring he had picked up in the village.
"Do you need to sit down and chat?" The Black market merchant pulled back his robe and made an inviting gesture.
Entering this small village where houses were built on the wetlands, there were many obese Black women, all of whom were infected with parasites. They shared two startling similarities: they were ugly and dark-skinned.
In contrast, however, they did not smell. Unlike the villagers on the Iberian Peninsula, they were not covered in stench.
These parasitized Black women did not attack; they merely looked at the four of them with hostility.
Inside a large bamboo building in the center, the Black market merchant filled a container with nearby waterfall spring water, took out some preserved tea leaves, and actually began slicing the tea!
Eddie watched everything here with interest. "Are you the boss here? Are these women all your wives? Your taste is truly unique."
"Only strong women can withstand the Plaga. I am only here to find my compatriots, and to find the forgotten ones like myself," the Black market merchant chuckled.
"You look like a mummy. Don't bother brewing tea; we won't drink it. Do you know who is conducting Plaga experiments nearby?" Eddie said, frowning.
The Black market merchant picked up a package with the Tricell logo on it. "It's this company. They are developing a new type of Plaga. As you may have seen, it's a neutered, higher-level Plaga that only has the ability to control, but lacks the ability to fuse with the host and become stronger."
This explained why the Dark skinned man Eddie had seen earlier had not mutated. With the mutation ability neutered, this type of Plaga was more suitable as a tool for controlling bioweapons.
"Where is their base?" Eddie asked again.
The Black market merchant pointed southwest. "In an ancient region, there is a branch of the Ndipaya Kingdom. There you can find the answers you seek!"
"Alright, last question: what do you want?" Eddie looked at the mummy-like Black market merchant.
"I am a parasitized villager. Perhaps by fate, I broke free from the command of control. To the Ganados, I am an anomaly; to humans, I am also an anomaly. I am looking for my kind. These women you see are my kind. Do you need some fun? I am looking for a way to reproduce, and perhaps you can help me." The Black market merchant clapped his hands, and the strong, obese Black women walked in.
Eddie quickly shook his head. "I truly cannot help you with that. Perhaps you could look for men who possess bold ideas; they might be happy to assist."
What a joke. Only a lunatic would accept such an offer. What normal person would go along with that?
Chapter 533: Jill's New Ability
The surrounding Black women also knelt down, seemingly indicating submission.
The Black market merchant understood clearly that the powerful man before him could easily destroy them. To prolong their lives, begging and lowering their stance were necessary.
Eddie waved his hand. "I am not the type of person who indiscriminately kills the innocent. If you want to live, you should hide yourselves better. Even if everything is investigated, I still have to leave."
Jill and Sophia seemed to be still reeling, wondering why they were suddenly being knelt to. They hadn't fully processed the situation.
The Black market merchant suddenly handed over a number. "Mr. Eddie, if you need our help, please call this number. We are on duty twenty-four hours a day."
Eddie took the note. "I understand. I hope you are still alive the next time we meet."
