Chapter 319 - 319

Leaving the terrifying airport, Senator David began to act pompous again, having been servile before.

He dared not offend the presidential agent Leon; Leon clearly wasn't easy to talk to. Especially after experiencing so many biochemical attacks, that murderous intent was not something David could casually command.

But he treated others differently, scolding them severely whenever he caught them. He seemed to be venting his displeasure, having almost died at the airport.

Claire gave her husband a smile, "Honey, I'm going to take care of something. I'll come find you later, okay?"

"Go, go, just remember what I said, or I'll lock you up and you won't be allowed out again," Eddie waved his hand, his tone somewhat overbearing.

Claire just gave an apologetic smile, nodded, and left. She understood very well that Eddie would give everything for her, but that didn't include the lives of other outsiders. Claire was a little afraid of how angry her husband looked.

Launi stood by, looking pretty and delicate, "Why are you so fierce with Claire?"

"Because she puts herself in unnecessary danger sometimes. Do you think I'm a good person? Actually, I'm just a bad person. I only care about my own life and my family's lives. I'll consider others, but I won't blindly save them," Eddie exhaled smoke rings.

Launi tilted her head, her beautiful eyes staring at Eddie for a long time, "You're really honest, like a true villain."

"Not 'like,' I am one," Eddie corrected.

"Okay, no matter what, I'm very grateful to you. I'll treat you to dinner if you have time," Launi smiled, then thought for a moment, "Can I have your phone number?"

Eddie handed over a business card, "Here, this is my number. I have something to do, so I won't keep you company."

At the airport on the other side, Norman massacred a large number of citizens and infected them with t-abyss, allowing these Oozes to crawl out through the pipes.

It turned out that everything here had been cut off; water and electricity, everything had stopped.

Norman suddenly had a terrible thought at this moment: he had been used again.

The person who called him clearly wanted to use him to carry out a terrorist attack to gain benefits. They would absolutely not care about his life or death, which made Norman very angry.

The enraged Norman roared, using the communication between viruses to drive these low-level infected to rush forward in a suicidal charge. Killing even one was a gain!

The ground shook, and Norman saw ten tall figures walk in. With a casual slap, they tore a Toad Speaker, which could saw through metal, in half, and punched out a Hunter's brains.

The ten Thanatos Tyrants, upon seeing Norman, analyzed him via computer control and identified him as the target. They then collectively charged.

Norman was called the Phantom Tyrant, but he wasn't actually a Tyrant; he was just a semi-finished adapter with some crazy consciousness and significantly reduced cognitive abilities.

The potential ceiling of t-abyss was only so high, and it couldn't grant him power beyond a Tyrant. He couldn't even defeat a Tyrant, and his method of using aerosols and flashes to create illusions also became ineffective.

In just five minutes, the ten burly Thanatos Tyrants pinned Norman to the ground and gave him a severe beating.

His arms were broken, his legs were broken, and his bones were broken.

Two Thanatos Tyrants grabbed the rampaging Norman and, as if kidnapping him, headed towards the rooftop.

This kidnapping operation was Simmons's private use of public resources; the Thanatos Tyrants were the property of the Western Federation. He could use them, but he couldn't take them away.

Norman was very helpful to the Travis Family's longevity plan, at least in helping these upper-class individuals extend their lives with wealth, which was undoubtedly a very attractive prospect.

Eddie silently smoked his cigarette, flicking the ash, "David, how did you happen to be at the airport?"

Senator David asked suspiciously, "I just returned from a pharmaceutical factory in South India. No one should know, unless someone is trying to set me up?"

"Tch, I'm not concerned about that. I'm asking what the hell you're up to, with so many people opposing your company," Eddie said, flicking the ash.

"I don't know, it's just a few commoners who died, and they're making a fuss. Hmph, I'll use money to make them forget about this," David glared resentfully at the reporters still secretly filming in the distance.

He had earned enough money from the previous T-Vaccine incident, and now it was time to put it to use.

"You came back directly from South India?" Eddie's expression was a bit strange.

"No, I also went to the Iberian Peninsula, where the girls are very hot. Then I went to the Travis Family's charity gala, where the women were equally excellent. You really should go see it; you might even have a nice romantic encounter," David let out a laugh that only men understood.

"I'm not interested in socialites. If there's nothing else, I'm leaving. I'm not interested in such low-level gatherings," Eddie said, then turned and left.

"Wait, Dr. Eddie, why don't you come to my company with me and take a look? I have something good that can make a lot of money; you should be interested," David suddenly smiled sinisterly.

Chapter 518: Who Will Take Care of the Brother-in-Law's Family

After Claire handled TerraSave's local affairs, her daughter Uma took over. She talked with Claire, complaining about her mother putting herself in danger.

This made Claire feel very guilty; her impulsive actions had worried both her husband and daughter greatly. She promised her daughter that she wouldn't do it again, and only then did Uma forgive Claire.

After Claire returned, Eddie and she went to the WilPharma Corporation together.

Leon and Kevin, meanwhile, were investigating the attack. Due to Simmons's insistence, the BSAA was unable to come to the Federation. Local incidents here were handled by the Federation itself, as they didn't want the BSAA to take a slice of the pie.

This case investigation had to be completed by the presidential agents. The two followed a lead and found a man named Bernal, a Raccoon City survivor and a friend of Curtis, the head of Mysterious Pharmaceutical's Federation branch.

Following this lead, Leon and Kevin found Curtis's home, but when they questioned Curtis's wife, Tamara, they learned that Curtis had already gone to the WilPharma Corporation for an inspection and hadn't returned home for a long time.

This made the two very confused. After locating Bernal's whereabouts, they arrived at an old house in the suburbs, where a fire had already broken out, and no one could have survived such a raging inferno.

At this moment, Greg, who was working with them, drove to the suburbs, "I found the person you asked me to find. He was successfully interviewed the day before yesterday and became a test subject for the WilPharma Corporation. If he dies, he'll receive five hundred thousand in compensation."

"Five hundred thousand? Is that so cheap?" Kevin's first reaction was that it wasn't worth it.

"Who knows? Some cancer patients can't afford medicine and can only seek death. If they can earn five hundred thousand by dying like this, why not do it?" Greg retorted.

"That makes so much sense, I don't seem to have anything to refute," Kevin said, speechless.

Leon coughed, "Now is not the time to discuss these issues. We must go to WilPharma to find that person. He has a motive, and just as we were leaving, a vehicle transporting vaccines was blown up, and Bernal's fingerprints were found at the scene."

Greg was a bit jealous, "Truly an agent, such great authority. You know things I don't even know."

"Are you coming with us? Or giving us a ride?" Leon asked.

Greg shook his head, "I don't want to go through hell. The company isn't far from here, so I'll drop you off at the gate, and you can go in yourselves. I'm going to order some late-night snacks. If you come back early, we can have a late-night snack together."

In WilPharma's conference room, Eddie sat at the circular conference table, with Angela on his left and Claire on his right, embracing both. This made the author envious!

Dawn played a video showing a mutated G-Creature being killed by a vaccine.

"This is our latest product, the G-Virus Vaccine!" Senator David said proudly.

Claire looked at his proud expression and suddenly felt like laughing. What an ignorant man. Annette had already developed a vaccine six years ago. It took a research team six years to achieve what Annette did alone, which showed how intelligent Annette was.

Eddie continued to smoke his cigarette, "Very good, but I'm not interested. Viruses update too quickly; you can't guarantee your vaccine can keep up. Moreover, the G-Virus isn't widely spread, so there's no market."

"That's true, but from what I know, both the European Union and the Federation are secretly experimenting with the G-Virus. We can make a fortune from this. I've put all my funds into vaccine research, so I have to sell it to break even, or I'll go bankrupt!" Senator David suddenly blurted out.

Eddie's expression was a bit strange, "Brother, I'm afraid I have some unfortunate news for you."

"What news? My wife isn't cheating, I know that," David said, waving his hand.
