Chapter 318 - 318

"Saving people? Hmph, we are currently stuck in the second stage, and we still need to maintain it with special serum periodically at this stage. Do you have a way to solve this?" Simmons asked, posing a challenge and a trade.

"I can help you solve this problem. I am going in to save Federation citizens, don't overthink it. Also, I want William Birkin's coordinates." Eddie also put forward another demand.

"Deal!" Simmons agreed without hesitation.

Looking at his watch, Simmons said, "I'll give you half an hour. After half an hour, the National Guard will launch a purge, and all living creatures will be wiped out!"

Chapter 516: Too Many Scumbags in the World

"What are you doing here?" Eddie asked, pulling out his firearm.

"We're here to save someone. There's a Senator at the airport. His Excellency the President said we must rescue him, Senator David." Leon had become much more subdued, perhaps having suffered some kind of shock.

"Coincidentally, I also need to save someone. Let's go together then." Eddie said before boarding the helicopter.

The group took the helicopter to the Airport Control Tower, which housed the airport offices and rest areas, with the waiting hall on the lowest floor.

"Is this your girlfriend? Does she know how to deal with zombies?" Leon suddenly asked. For some reason, looking at Angela, he felt a sense of déjà vu, and also a feeling like something was hovering over his head, something he couldn't see or touch.

"She knows what to do, you can rest assured. That fellow, however, is another story!" Eddie pointed to the man in the back seat.

"I know, I just need to know how to shoot them dead." This crew-cut man was Angela's colleague, Greg.

"Alright, split into two groups. You guys take that fellow and go save the Senator. I'll take Angela and go save Claire. There are civilians trapped, and I need to help her get them out of here. If the situation becomes impossible, we can't worry about the others." Eddie looked at the Magnum gun in his hand.

Angela's heart tightened. Looking at the cold Eddie, she felt a pang of heartache. This man bore heavy burdens, and what difference would it make if he saved others but something happened to himself?

Five minutes later, the group landed on the roof of the airport building. The helicopter quickly departed; this was not a place to linger, as staying too long here would lead to trouble.

"We have twenty-five minutes left. It takes ten minutes to rush from here to the side door of the airport, so we have fifteen minutes for action." Eddie said, looking at his watch.

"Good luck. I hope you survive." Leon finished speaking and led his people down the stairs.

Eddie, meanwhile, went to the edge of the building, embraced Angela and Lisa, and leaped down.

The whistling wind rushed past—a thrill of jumping off a building that many people never experience in their lifetime.

A Licker was still crawling on the outside wall of the building, but the next second, it was instantly smashed into fragments by an electromagnetic barrier, having no time to react at all.

It was supposed to be a Hunter of the darkness, yet it was instantly killed by a single move!

Amidst the roaring wind, just before landing, Eddie activated his magnetic field ability. The trio broke straight through the wall and landed inside the third-floor conference hall.

There were some wandering zombies here. As soon as one turned around, its head was shattered by Lisa's sonic blast.

Reaching the outside of the conference hall, Eddie pushed open the door and saw a man angrily questioning Claire, "Where is the rescue you promised? It still hasn't arrived! Is this how you TerraSave people trick people? Hurry up and find me something to eat! How can I have the strength to run without food?"

Bang! A chair directly slammed into the suit-wearing man, making his eyes spin with stars, and he immediately fell to the ground.

Eddie walked in, smoking a cigarette and flicking the ash. "This is how we TerraSave people do things. We save people, but the prerequisite is that you must be a human being. In my opinion, you're just a beast, treating kindness as an obligation. Who do you think you are? How dare you talk to my wife like that?"

Claire, who had initially felt a little sad and wronged after receiving a scolding phone call from her husband, was now filled with delight seeing him defend her. Her beautiful eyes were full of happy smiles.

"You! Do you know who I am? I'm the son of the city's Bicycle Tycoon!" The suit-wearing man struggled to his feet.

Eddie slapped him directly. "I don't care who you are. Don't show off in front of me, or I'll just slap you again, you piece of trash, worse than a dog!"

The suit-wearing man was knocked down again, unable to climb up, and could only play dead on the ground. "Ah, assault! Help! The people from TerraSave are hitting me! Is there no law anymore!"

Eddie stepped on him twice more, making sure the guy behaved.

Looking around, he saw a woman full of Indonesian style standing next to Claire, watching him with curious eyes.

"We now have ten minutes. Rush from here to the side door, where the National Guard is waiting behind it. Once outside, you'll be safe. If you don't want to die, start running now. If you want to die, I can grant your wish. Now, follow me out!" Eddie finished speaking and pulled Claire along as he walked out.

There were more than thirty people left in the conference hall, all looking awkward. They had been waiting for rescue, but now they had to run for their lives, which was a huge contrast.

As Eddie reached the door, he dropped a final sentence: "In ten minutes, this place will be bombed, so if you want to stay and wait for death, keep waiting."

Outside the conference hall, there wasn't much resistance.

Gunshots sounded in the distance; it seemed Leon's group had started engaging the enemy.

The two groups met five minutes later in a smaller waiting hall.

This hall was filled with Hunters and Lickers. These two types of creatures surprisingly did not attack each other but were clearly separated by distinct boundaries, hunting in their respective territories.

"This is going to be trouble," Leon muttered.

"What trouble? Just rush through." Senator David leaned against the wall, panting. He had no strength left to continue.

"Yo, old man, you're here too. What a coincidence. You have five minutes left. If you don't move, you'll stay here forever." Eddie said, jumping down to the first floor, raising his Magnum gun, and firing a shot at a Hunter.

The Hunter's head instantly shattered. The Lickers were also enraged, instantly leaping onto the five-meter-high walls and quickly scattering.

Da-da-da, the sound of assault rifles continued. Everyone forgot their fear and could only run for their lives.

"Ah!" The woman with the Indonesian features was shoved by the suit-wearing man and fell towards the Hunter. It looked like she was about to be torn in half by its claws.

Eddie turned back and pulled her over, while his other hand raised the Magnum gun and blasted the Hunter's head off with a single shot.

The Indonesian woman was slightly shy, her beautiful eyes showing a naive affection. "Thank you, thank you for saving me."

"You're welcome. If we get out, just remember to offer yourself in return. I don't mind," Eddie grinned mischievously.

The woman rolled her eyes. You don't mind, but I do! "My name is Launi Qiaola, and I'm Claire's good friend!" Was this her way of saying she wouldn't eat the grass near her burrow?

Chapter 517: The Famous Scene of Ten Tyrants

"Don't eat me! Don't eat me! Save me! Hurry and save me!" The suit-wearing man was terrified. In the dark environment, encountering these filthy, stinking monsters, he would be half-dead from the smell even if he wasn't killed.

Splat! He finally died. To dare to secretly harm others—it would truly be against heaven's law if such a person didn't die.

Claire could have saved him, and she saw the whole scene, but she chose to pass him by, letting him be bitten to death by the zombies.

Meanwhile, the fat pig Senator David ran forward quickly without a word. It was hard to imagine how his two-hundred-pound body could achieve that speed!

Scrambling and crawling, he reached the side door, raising his hands and running forward under a strong spotlight.

The Hunters that followed him out were all shot dead by the Guard.

"It's a live person. Take him away for inspection."

Two minutes later, the group passed through safely, though not without incident. Except for a few unlucky individuals whose heads were sliced off by Hunters, everyone else was fine and still alive.

Even the temporary substitute team member ran out unscathed. Aside from being overly frightened, nothing serious happened to him.
