Chapter 133 - This City Is Quite Interesting

Although Arashi didn't know what kind of country the Kingdom of Nasia really was, the reward of 7,000 Travel Points was more than enough to tempt him to stay.

"Robin, you stay behind and watch the ship."

As soon as the system notification ended, Arashi decisively turned to Perona. "Little Perona, grab the Beli—we're going out to have some fun!"

Perona had been a little nervous, thinking Arashi might be upset that she had steered the Traveler off course to this unfamiliar place. She never expected that not only was he not angry, he even wanted to take her out to have fun. To her, this was an unexpected delight.

"T-take the Beli? We're going out to play?"

Perona asked in disbelief, "H-how much should we bring?"

"Fifty million," Arashi replied without hesitation. Using fifty million to win five hundred million—no big problem.

"O-okay!"

Though still a bit overwhelmed, Perona happily ran to the cabinet and took out all the Beli Arashi had stored there.

"Robin-chan, don't run off~"

Fully getting into character, Perona winked playfully at Robin before running out with a suitcase full of Beli.

Watching Perona skip away, Robin shook her head with a faint smile.

Even though it was Perona's accidental mistake that brought the Traveler to the Kingdom of Nasia, Robin felt a bit grateful toward the quirky little girl. After all, Arashi's sudden decision to take her to Ohara had left her uneasy. Now that their journey had been delayed, she had time to adjust herself mentally.

Ten minutes later…

Arashi and Perona appeared in the royal capital of the Kingdom of Nasia.

It was already dusk, yet there were surprisingly few pedestrians on the streets.

Those who were present were mostly mafia members in suits, burly men carrying all kinds of weapons with fierce expressions, or heavily armed royal guards moving in haste.

"Arashi, what's with those buildings?"

Perona suddenly stopped, pointing at a church-like structure across the street. "They're full of holes… Did a battle just happen here? It looks like it was destroyed not long ago!"

Arashi didn't respond. Ever since entering the city, he had already sensed something was off.

Ruins were everywhere, giving the entire place a dilapidated appearance.

As for the people on the streets—different factions mixed together, each one looking as if they had a grudge against the world.

The ones in suits were clearly members of the West Blue's underworld. The burly men carrying weapons smelled strongly of the sea—either pirates or seasoned bounty hunters.

What surprised him most, however, were the royal guards.

These soldiers seemed wary of the pedestrians, completely lacking the authority expected of a kingdom's army. They looked more like they were barely holding things together.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Suddenly, a series of sharp gunshots rang out without warning.

Moments later, a group of men burst out from an alley to Arashi's right, desperately fleeing toward another alley.

Before Arashi could react, dozens of men in suits charged out in pursuit, opening fire wildly at the fleeing group.

Amid the deafening gunfire, the dozen or so men at the front were all shot down.

"Run! Keep running!"

One of the pursuers stepped on a fallen man and snarled, "Causing trouble on my boss's turf? You've got a death wish!"

As he spoke, he raised his gun and shot the man in the head without hesitation.

After killing him, the man turned toward a few onlookers nearby and barked, "What are you staring at? Never seen someone get killed? Damn it, why are you even strolling around? If you come here and don't hit the casino, don't expect to make it home!"

"Wow, that guy is so arrogant!"

Standing beside Arashi, Perona looked eager to act. If not for Arashi stopping her with a glance, she would have already summoned her ghosts to make the man wish he were dead.

"Shh, little girl, keep your voice down,"

a rough-looking man nearby whispered. "Those are mafia people—we can't afford to mess with them."

"Hmph!"

Perona turned her head away, pouting. "What's so scary about the mafia? I could make them all kneel and beg to die!"

Arashi patted her head and said with a smile, "We just got here—better keep a low profile."

"Mhm~"

Perona seemed to enjoy the gesture, nodding obediently like a devoted fan.

Arashi didn't linger and continued walking forward.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Just as he took a step, a thunderous explosion erupted from another alley, followed by a surge of flames and smoke.

The sudden chaos even caught Arashi off guard.

A shooting had just happened here, and now an explosion over there—what exactly was going on in this city?

In such a large capital, were there no guards or law enforcement maintaining order?

"Arashi, this city is so interesting!"

Looking at the smoke rising ahead, Perona became excited again. "Should we go take a look?"

Before Arashi could respond, dozens of men in suits suddenly rushed out from the smoke-filled street, charging straight toward the arrogant man who had just committed murder.

"Damn it!"

The man didn't expect reinforcements to arrive so quickly. Seeing the crowd rushing at him, his eyes widened as he turned to flee.

But he was too late.

Before he could escape, they caught up. A burst of gunfire rang out, and the man along with his companions was shot dead on the spot.

In less than ten minutes since entering the city, Arashi had already witnessed two gunfights. Black lines crept across his forehead—this place was truly chaotic.

No wonder the reward was 7,000 Travel Points.

In a city this lawless, even if he managed to win 500 million Beli, leaving safely with the money might not be so easy.

After killing the group, the men in suits split to both sides of the street, standing in formation as they turned toward the smoke-filled road.

Soon, a figure emerged, escorted by several subordinates.

Seeing the person step out, Arashi couldn't help but pause in surprise.

Capone Bege!

What was he doing here?

With a cigar in his mouth, Capone Bege stepped onto the street. As he stopped, the men lining both sides immediately bowed in unison.

"Godfather!"

"Mm."

Bege hadn't noticed Arashi's presence at all. He nodded slightly, then raised his head and spoke calmly:

"Go. Inform the leaders of the other factions—submit and live, or resist and be wiped out. From now on, there will be only one underworld force in the capital of Nasia…"

"Our mafia family!"
