Chapter 3 - “A small inconvenience.”

She saw me. It wasn't part of my plan, but at least she knows I exist.

God, I'm in love with her. I'm in love with her beauty, with the way she talks to people, her kindness, her magnificent green eyes, and her black hair that falls to her lower back. I've been watching for a long, long time, and God, I'm absolutely in love with everything about her.

Today, I guess I'm going to pay Cameron a visit.

For context, Cameron is the CEO of a famous company, and I have my reasons to believe that man is a contraband dealer. On the surface, I have a law firm company that I built from scratch, but underneath it, I've got the world's biggest empire of illegal contraband stopping. Well, you might ask what's illegal in that; but actually, the technology I use is illegal, and I murder people ,while a normal agent would just send them to jail. So let's call it a legal illegal job that is just between us.

Back to Adriana. She doesn't know it yet, but she is mine.

Cameron's building was exactly what you'd expect glass, steel, and fake smiles at the entrance. I walked in like I owned the place. Nobody stopped me. They never do.

"Do you have an appointment?" the receptionist asked.

I smiled. "He's expecting me."

He wasn't.

The elevator ride felt longer than it should've, but I stayed calm. Always calm. When the doors opened, his office was right there at the end of the hall, like he wanted to be seen. Like he thought he was untouchable.

I didn't knock.

Cameron looked up from his desk, annoyed at first, then confused. "Who are you?"

I closed the door behind me slowly. "Someone who knows what you've been doing."

Silence. Just for a second. Then he laughed. Nervous. "I think you have the wrong-"

"I don't."

That's when his face changed. People always have that momentthe second they realize this isn't a misunderstanding.

"You've been moving things you shouldn't," I continued, stepping closer. "Weapons. Tech. Things that don't belong in the hands you're giving them to."

"I can call security," he said, reaching slightly toward his phone.

I was faster. Always faster.

"Don't."

He froze. Smart enough to listen, at least for now.

"You're coming with me," I said, my voice low, controlled.

"I'm not going anywhere."

I sighed. They always say that.

It didn't take long after that. No noise, no scene. Just precision. By the time anyone noticed something was off, Cameron was already gone no trace, no explanation.

And me?

I walked out the same way I walked in. Calm and Invisible.

Because this is what I do.

And Adriana…

She saw me today.

That changes everything.
