A large amount of time that wasn't specified in the anime passed until the day on the tournament.
I was sitting in a waiting room with the rest of class 1-A until things started to get a little heated.
Todoroki walked up to Midoriya.
"Midoriya."
"Hey Todoroki, what's up?"
"From an objective standpoint, I think it's fairly clear that I'm stronger than you."
Midoriya agreed.
Todoroki continued. "However, you've got All Might in your corner, helping you out. I'm not here to pry about what's going on between you two. But know that I will beat you."
'Well this is edgy.'
Todoroki walked out, probably after saying something edgy, I stopped listening since I was playing with a Rubix cube.
In the end I gave up and chucked it at a wall.
I then slipped out the door because I heard Midoriya starting to glaze Todoroki.

Why are there so many people. The crowd was deafening. Present Mic wasn't helping either, so considering this, when I walked out I had my ear pieces in and stayed at the back of the class.
The other classes slowly filled out the field.
'Damn it, of course the presenter is Midnight.'
I was lucky I had ear pieces in otherwise I'd heard people talking about the atrocities they would do to her.
While I was looking anywhere but the stage, Bakugo had gone up to the stage, said something for 3 seconds and immediately left.
'Short speech.'
Looking at a huge monitor behind Midnight read 'obstacle race'.
After a bit the classes started to file out towards the big red gate. In the crowd I caught up with Bakugo, tapped him on the back and said. "Nice speech."
Closing just my left eye, I walked away, disappearing into the crowd.
'Being short has its advantages.'
The race began and everyone started piling into the small gate where people got stuck between each other's bodies.
I stayed back and saw Todoroki spread his ice everywhere, trapping most of the students.
I sat down at the entrance of the tunnel and waited, just out of view from the cameras, but still able to see the big screen.
I watched the video and saw the entire race, a couple highlights was Mineta getting sucker punched by a robot, some purple haired guy getting carried by four different dudes that acted as a throne.
I chuckled at that last one.
'Mind control or they just one of the homies.'
A couple of zero pointers had shown up and Todoroki froze them and then let them collapse behind him, catching most students off guard and burying some.
Todoroki and Bakugo maintained first and second place throughout the entire race.
Then, at the final hurdle, which was literal land mines by the way, both Todoroki and Bakugo started boxing while moving.
'Yo… this is hilarious.'
I was still sitting in the entrance tunnel, one eye closed.
'I should get going now huh?'
I stood up patted my hands and closed both my eyes. Earlier on I had set a scout on Bakugo, this gave me a front row seat to Midoriya blasting ahead of Bakugo's very own eyes.
While watching I started a leisurely walk towards the end goal.
Midoriya then slammed down a piece of metal he was holding which made Bakugo and Todoroki have to pause and move around.
I didn't see this however, since I had moved my scout off of Bakugo and attached it to Midoriya.
Midoriya then ran through the finish line and I just moved off him onto the ground and slipped through.
People were so busy looking at Midoriya that they hadn't noticed me appearing out of the ground. I sat against the wall and looked at my hands.
'Well that's one way to conserve my energy. Still though, 5 km takes a lot outta me.'
I then promptly fell asleep. Not because I was tired, no, not at all.
I was woken up by Ashido who had just finished.
"Hiya." I looked up at her while taking out my ear pieces.
"Sleeping during an exam? Really?" She looked down at me.
"Something wrong with that?" I asked innocently.
"Never mind, what place did you get?"
"Second."
She walked away in exasperation, hands held high.
Even though I wasn't originally noticed straight away, the leaderboards showed me as second place.
Aoyama, unfortunately, hadn't made it into the top 42.
Moving on from this, the next event was a cavalry battle. Teams were 2-4 people each.
The points system made it so that the higher place you got the more points. Midoriya had 1 million points for being first place, I even felt bad for him.
I had 205 points in base form. Not shabby but not enough to move onto the next round by keeping my own amount and not taking anyone else's.
Finding a team wasn't hard. All I needed was one other person after all.

We had fifteen minutes to find a team. It took a whole 10 seconds for Sato to find me. We teamed up with myself riding.
After a little while Jiro and Hagakure came over and asked to join. They didn't even ask to be the rider after once glance at my small stature.
The plan was simple, we literally just stand still. Unless of course someone tried to steal out headbands.
Our point total was a whopping 570 points.
Sato was in front, I was on top, Jiro was the left wing and Hagakure was the right wing.
Immediately as the battle started everyone but my team rushed Midoriya.

"So how are you guys doing?" I looked down.

We stood in our corner for a good while, watching the fireworks as Bakugo blasted off to fight Midoriya's team mid air.
"Is that even allowed?" Hakagure was bewildered.
Eventually some guy with a copy quirk came and just took my headband.
Once he was halfway across the arena from us I just placed my hand into a portal on Sato's head and took it back. I also took a 305 point headband as compensation.
They didn't notice until they looked at the leaderboard and saw their points was lower than it should've been.
After looking back at me wearing two headbands now. The blonde with a copy quirk growled.
'And I'm the one with cat ears… that was a good one right?'
I thought it was funny. And that's all I needed to chuckle. Apparently that annoyed him even further.
'That looked like I was mocking him didn't it. Whoops.'
He didn't return. Not before pissing off Bakugo and getting targeted by him.
That signalled the first half of the game gone. With Todoroki about to face off against Midoriya.
"Woah." My entire team chorused as we watched the fight.
Apparently a couple other teams had joined in, not before Kaminari and Todoroki stunned and froze the rest of them.
With one minute left Todoroki had used up so much ice my team finally moved.
We turned to the displayed screens so we could see beyond the ice wall. We then saw Tenya speedblitz Midoriya.
"WOAH!" Hagakure jumped a little and I nearly fell.
"Careful…" I regained my balance.
Looking back at the screens I saw Bakugo get his get back from the copier.
"Woah.." my team chorused.
That put them in fourth place, just behind my team.
Meanwhile my team was so far from the others that people just had to ignore us and go for others that were closer.
With ten seconds left Bakugo and Midoriya went for Todoroki who had the 1 million…
…and they ran out of time.

I noticed Shinso's team was in second place with a quick glance.
'Ojiro's on that team… somethings off about him though?'
I recalled Shinso's previous throne during the first event.
'Mind control? I ain't dealing with allat?!'
I then took all of his points with a portal, just before the game ended.

Present Mic then started to introduce the top 4.
In first place was Todoroki, in second was me, in third was Bakugo and in fourth was Midoriya.
At the end everyone had been put down and teams were splitting off, my team was going to do that but then I suddenly jumped onto Sato's head and pointed towards the food stalls.
"Onward! To a relaxing break!"
Sato trudged forward. "You're paying."
