Chapter 28 - Ending

After a short break so I could recuperate, my injuries were fully healed.

'Will he use the fire? Or was that a one off?'

Bakugo had won against Todoroki, Todoroki hadn't used his flames for some reason. I guess he's still being an edge lord.

——

The award ceremony took place. All Might himself jumped down and gave the top three medals. In third place was me and Tokoyami in second was Todoroki and in first was Bakugo, he was chained up for some reason.

'My ears hurt.'

All Might was too loud. I gracefully took my medal and waited for it to be over.

—Later that day—

'The festival is over so why are we in our classroom right now?'

I was laying across the table, with my head in my arms. Looking up, I noticed a vacant seat.

'And where the fuck is Iida?! Could we have just left or something?!'

I tuned in to hear Aizawa.

"Two days to recuperate.."

'YEAH!!'

—Two days later—

It was raining, hard.

The walls were thick, but given my heightened hearing it could still hear a pitter-patter outside. It was silent, but loud enough to be irksome.

'This is going to be a long day…'

I slumped into my chair as Aizawa walked to the front.

"We have a big class today on Hero Informatics."

'A very long day indeed.'

"You need code names."

'NOOOOO! CREATIVITY AHHH!'

Then a couple of names with numbers representing the amount of offers we had gotten from pros.

'Let's see… Taka.Taka.Taka. Ah here!'

It said 1,750 offers next to my name, leaving me in third place.

'I don't wanna read through allat. Should I make an AI to do it for me? Or would that be more effort.'

While I was debating this, I suddenly heard a familiar clacking against the ground.

'Dear God no… history class is more than enough PLEASE.'

Midnight walked in, much to my dismay.

——

I was blankly staring at a board I had been passed. It had been so long that others had already started to stand up and tell their own names.

'Uh oh.'

I was thinking, thinking very hard.

'If I slip out of the classroom, how long until they notice…'

"All we have left is young Bakugo, who needs to rethink his, Iida and Kurusu. Oh, and Midoriya too." Midnight called from the front of the class.

'Gulp.'

"Kurusu come on up!"

I flinched before walking up to the front.

After holding up my board Midnight had a look.

"Hmmm… Slipstream huh? That's good! Approved!"

A/N: RedWolfEric gave me the name, shoutout that guy.

Anyways, after everyone had decided on their hero names Aizawa stood up and spoke to the class while holding sheets of papers.

"Right, now we can go back to talking about your upcoming internships. They'll last for one week. As for who you'll be working with… those of you who are on the board will have to choose from your offers."

After having a look at the huge number next to my name I slumped in my seat.

"I don't wanna.." I whispered to myself.

Later in the day, everyone was chatting about what agency they were going to. Meanwhile I had only looked through the first 10 offers before falling asleep at my desk.

I was woken up by Aizawa who had found me after school, I was still in the classroom after all.

"Have you decided on your hero agency yet?" I looked down on me.

"No, there's too much to look through." I said while stretching.

"Then I have an idea." He prodded me in the face to make sure I was completely awake.

'This is about something serious? He looks gloomy… wait doesn't he always look gloomy? How is he even gloomier.'

"It's about your class, rep Tenya Iida." Aizawa sat on the desk.

"I've got a bad feeling, he's only applied for one agency. And it's in Hosu." He squinted his eyes and looked at me.

"Isn't that where his brother works? Wait, wasn't his brother injured by the Hero killer?"

"Exactly, I think he's trying to get revenge even though he clearly doesn't have the capacity to do so right now."

"So do you want me to intern in Hosu and look after him?"

"Yes, the Hero Killer has already killed 17 heroes, and injured 23 beyond recovery." Aizawa sighed and looked up at the ceiling.

The cogs were slowly turning in my head.

"Can you look through my offers for me then?"

Aizawa's eye twitched.

He ended up helping.

—Leaving for internships—

The entire class was at a busy train station after having been handed our hero costumes in a suitcase.

After we had left to get the train I wandered past Midoriya, Ururaka and Iida having a chat.

I had no part in the conversation so I just walked past to get the train.

'Holy shit that's a huge escalator.'

—The first day—

I didn't directly join the same agency as Iida, I'm not stupid after all.

I had ended up at… the uh…

'I've already forgotten the name.'

Anyways all I did was walk around with one of the heroes. He was pretty chill. And the day ended with nothing happening other than some petty crimes.

His quirk allowed him to turn a part of his body into a grey mist. It was pretty neat, but he didn't end up having to use it throughout the entire day.

Due to the Hero Killer the entire city was on alert, so it was shaping up to be a very boring time.

'Knowing a shonen, I would assume that there going to be an attack on the last day…'

I had no idea who this 'Stain' was but it was clear that he was either extremely skilled, or his body was boosted by his quirk.

How else could he take down so many heroes. Then again, according to some statements the heroes had not been able to move after some point.

It was very perplexing.

'Most likely he's very skilled. Then again there is a theory I've had, and it's that having a quirk also allows your body to reach superhuman levels, almost like it's a side effect.'

I didn't have much proof however, but it was a nice theory.

It was late at night on the second day when I heard a loud explosion in the distance.

'Already?!'

I looked to the mist hero next to me and he nodded. We quickly moved towards the explosion using my portals.

Just before I arrived there I found the hero Iida as meant to be interning with running down the street towards the explosion.

'Then where the hell is he? Don't tell me…'

I looked back to the direction where he came from. Then looked towards the mist guy.

"That's manual, he's meant to have an intern but I can't see him."

He got my meaning.

"You look for the intern, and I'll go ahead and deal with-"

Another explosion appeared in the distance.

"That." He finished.

"Got it." I nodded and slipped up onto the closest building's roof.

'Well then, let's get to work shall we…"

A/N: might be to busy to upload tomorrow, we will see.
