'What are you doing?' I said as I tried losening his grip from me,half heartedly. He swiftly turned about ninety degrees away from where we stood and I heard an arrow whistle past my right ear. Wei Chen caught the arrow at its tail ,it scarred him a little as he did so. He released his grip on me and I stepped up to him curious about the arrow and his scarred finger. 'We must leave the arena immediately!' Wei Chen said.
We hurriedly moved towards the lodge for the female Warriors. We stood outside, Wei Chen obviously could not go in. He gave instructions to Wei Feng and Shin Fei on how to ensure I was safe until the culprit was caught. They have their word to make sure no harm would come to me. Facing me, Wei Chen said, 'Remember I had told you not to trust anyone's I nodded. 'Good,now I tell you,trust these two with everything. Listen to them and follow all procedures suggested. I am off to find the owner of that arrow. I would see you when I get back' I could only nod and wonder if he would ever be by my side forever.
Wei Feng dragged me inside after Shin Fei. This was the first time I would come into the female warrior's lodge. It was unbelievably gorgeous. There were satin bed spreads, curtains of silk and each bunk had its own small weaponry. The sight of these were beautiful and fearful at the same time. I stood at the entrance still unsure of why we were here instead of my usual lodge. 'Zhen, to ensure your safety,you have to stay with us in this lodge for sometime.'Thank you' I said not knowing if I really wanted to stay in the midst of people I did not know and most of whom may not be as friendly judging by their looks.
I was given a bunk to sleep on. I could choose between the lower or upper bunk. I chose the upper bunk,so I could have a good sight of what's happening in the room. The lodge had many rooms and each room has six warrior occupants. There were only leaders of certain levels of Orders in the room I was. Shin Fei and Wei Feng were my acquaintance,there were three other Warriors that I haven't met before. As I made to climb my bunk,the three of them approached me and believe me when I say they looked terrifying. I thought of calling Shin Fei,but, I remembered they had gone to my other lodge to get my things. I was all alone with these three fierce looking Warriors.
The fiercest of them looked at me and held out her hand for a handshake, I wondered if what she had in mind was to lift me with that hand and flip me, for me to land on my back. Seeing my reluctance, she held out my hand with her second hand and shook my hand saying ' You don't have to be afraid,my name is Wong Xi. We are your allies'. I was still trying to get my act together when another grabbed my the shoulders and said ' I am Lui Kang, we all are in allegiance to Wei Chen. So, do not worry,no harm will come to you under our watch. There was a great relief in my heart as I heard his name. There's no doubt I am certainly in good hands. 'Get some rest,there a possibility of a night assembly' That was the voice of the third warrior who cared nothing for introduction. I obediently climbed the bunk and allowed my thoughts to roam.
While on my bed, I heard the three having a discussion. They tried to be as quiet as they could but I could still make out what they were saying. It was a discussion about the chosen one. They made reference to her lineage which was said to be of the royal ancestry. The one of them said ' Do you really think she is the one?' ' I think so,cause her training should been up to three moons before she unlocked what she did at the first fight. Then she should have been engaged in drills by Shin Fei for two moons before she got to the third level of coordination'. At that instance,I stopped listening. ' What! Third level of coordination? That's crazy! I never even knew that was what I unlocked. It began to make sense to me. The reason for the whisperings.' I continued in this wanderings until I drifted into another vision.
It was as though it was a continuation of the last one I had. I saw the Centaur running with the child towards a fortress. It looked like the Sea but in a past glory form. As she approached the gates,an alarm was sounded and rains of arrows poured. She kept running, covering the child with one of her arms and warding off the arrows with a sword in her other hand. She got to the gate uttered a forbidden spell and the gate was charged with a great light that forced it open. She kept running inside, fighting off foot soldiers as she did. Finally she got to the entrance into the main building.
I saw the same man that had his way with the mother of the child come out from the door to the palace with the steps of a king. 'Why have you done this great evil. Are you not aware that your evil act resulted in bringing forth another life?.' the Centaur said. ' What nonsense are you saying? What life? said the man. The Centaur lifted up the child and said ' This is the result of your evil. A female child who has the mark of the Dune on her.' the Centaur raged. ' I am done with the Guardian of Lights. I am done with the Dune and it's emissaries. I pay homage to no one! I am invincible!. I want nothing to do with the child in your hand! Be gone from here! You leach! The King angrily stomped inside.
I saw the Centaur furious against the King yet compassion filled her eyes for the child she carried. As she turned to take his leave,a young boy came running towards her. As he got to her,he said ' How can I find you? I would love to meet up with my sister soon. ' You must be the Prince' the Centaur said. 'I am' the boy replied. The Centaur handed him a crystal object that shines with unmeasurable light when removed from it's covering. ' Keep her safe,take her with you on every journey and when you are ready to meet with your sister,say so to her,she will lead you to me.
'Zhen! Wake up. It's time for the night assembly' With that I came out of the vision and opened my eyes to see the five Warriors standing round my bunk,each with a part of my armour. What exactly is this night assembly? Why are they here in this manner? These were my thoughts until a loud knock came on the door.
