Loreen's POV
Sairis smiled and returned to the book. "There are also certain herbs that should be avoided because they can cause problems during pregnancy." He said.
Loreen's smile faded. "Ardent told you which ones?"
Sairis looked up. "Yes." He replied. "You sound worried."
"I am." Loreen said. The answer came so quickly that Sairis went quiet. He leaned forward and rested his elbows on Sairis's knees. "I know you are trying to learn everything so you can protect yourself, but I do not want you reading all of this alone and frightening yourself."
"I am not frightened." Sairis whispered.
Loreen sighed, rubbing his forehead. "You just told me that male omegas can die during childbirth." He muttered.
"That is a fact." Sairis whispered.
"A terrible fact." Loreen muttered.
Sairis gave him a small smile. "I would rather know the truth." He said.
Loreen looked at him for a moment. "I understand." He replied. "But you are not doing this alone."
