The campus felt quieter that day.
Not because there were fewer people…
but because too many things were left unsaid.
Abhi & Swati
Swati had been waiting.
Near the staircase, where students passed by without noticing her.
But her eyes were fixed on one person.
Abhi.
As soon as she saw him, she stepped forward.
"Abhi."
He stopped.
Turned.
For a moment, both just looked at each other.
It had been a long time since they stood like this—face to face, with no one else around.
"Tum lad kyu rahe the?" Swati asked directly.
Abhi looked away. "Kuch nahi tha."
Swati frowned. "Mujhe jhoot mat bolo."
Her voice wasn't loud… but it was firm.
Abhi stayed silent.
"Tum aise nahi the," she continued softly.
"Tum unnecessary fights nahi karte."
That hit him.
Because she still remembered who he used to be.
"It's not your concern, Swati," he said finally.
The moment he said it—
He regretted it.
Swati's expression changed.
"Not my concern?"
A small pause.
"Fine."
She stepped back slightly.
But this time, Abhi spoke—
"Main bas… kisi ko hurt hote hue nahi dekh sakta."
Swati looked at him again.
"Kisko?"
Abhi hesitated.
His eyes met hers.
"Tumhe."
Silence.
For a second, everything stopped.
But before the moment could go deeper—
Abhi stepped back.
"I have class," he said quickly, and walked away.
Swati stood there.
Still.
Confused.
But something inside her… had started to feel again.
Priyanka & Aditya
In the library, things were calmer.
Priyanka sat across from Aditya, flipping through pages.
"You're distracted today," Aditya said.
She looked up. "Am I?"
"Yes."
He closed his book. "What's on your mind?"
Priyanka hesitated.
"Nothing serious… just campus drama."
Aditya gave a faint smile.
"You mean Abhi?"
She looked at him, surprised.
"You noticed?"
"I notice what matters."
There was no confusion in his tone.
No hesitation.
Aditya was clear.
Steady.
"People misunderstand things easily," he continued.
"But I don't like explaining myself to everyone."
Priyanka studied him for a moment.
"You're very… different."
Aditya leaned back slightly.
"And you're still figuring that out."
A small smile appeared on her face.
And just like that—
Their comfort returned.
Aditi & Lavesh
Near the canteen, laughter filled the air.
"Tum kabhi serious ho sakte ho?" Aditi asked.
Lavesh pretended to think.
"Nahi. It doesn't suit me."
She rolled her eyes.
"Obviously."
They sat down with snacks.
"Waise," Lavesh said, "tum jab gussa hoti ho na… thodi scary lagti ho."
Aditi stared at him.
"Thodi?"
"Okay, very."
She laughed.
For a moment, things felt light.
Easy.
But then—
Lavesh looked at her, a little more seriously this time.
"Par achhi lagti ho."
Aditi paused.
"Matlab?"
He quickly looked away.
"Matlab… as a person."
She narrowed her eyes.
"You almost said something else."
"Tum overthink karti ho," he replied instantly.
But both of them knew—
That moment meant something.
Poonam, Ayush & Upendra
In the classroom, things were quieter.
Poonam and Upendra were going through notes again.
"Now you're improving," Poonam said.
Upendra smiled.
"Good teacher."
Ayush entered.
His eyes went straight to them.
Again.
Same scene.
Same feeling.
This time, he didn't interrupt.
He just sat at his place.
Watching.
Thinking.
For the first time—
He didn't speak.
Because he was starting to understand something.
And maybe…
It was already too late.
