After walking through the busy streets of Molehill Market, Bane found himself sat in a dim room with everyone else all from across the galaxy.
Damn this place is packed, he thought.
There were multiple items being displayed on a pedestal, but the only one that everyone was interested in was the one with a golden, shiny ball crackling with energy. Bane, alongside everyone else, waited for what felt like an eternity, before finally, all the other items got picked up, leaving the small, golden ball as the last one remaining. Everyone in the audience sat up in their chairs, their eyes enthralled by its magnificent beauty. Mr. Caesar, an old, gray mole-like creature, gets on stage and excitedly presents the item.
"All right contestants, this is all what you all have been waiting for! Behold… it's the Titan's Core!" Mr. Caesar yells
The crowd went nuts in reaction.
"The starting bidding price will be five-hundred Bones. The Titan's Core shall go to the highest bidder. You may begin now!"
Immediately, multiple contestants start yelling their prices.
"One-thousand!"
"Two-thousand!"
The whole house turns into chaos as one guy will yell a number and then right after someone else will yell an even bigger number. Bane just smiles patiently because he didn't really care who won as he planned to mug them right after.
When will this be over? he thought
The numbers kept on staggering higher and higher until finally someone yelled,
" Two million!"
Everyone in the room gasped as they couldn't believe someone will go for that high number.
"All right, going once!"
"Going twice!"
"Sold to the Koapla!"
The Koapla, a pink koala-like creature, grinned and got up from his seat to dance a little.
"Woohoo!" He exclaimed
However, just as he was making his way down to retrieve the item, he, inexplicably, all of sudden falls face first to the floor unconsciously. The contestants looked at him in confusion, but before they had time to process what just happened, many of them also fall unconsciously. Bane looks at the stage and he sees some strange mist coming off it.
Oh crap!He thought.
Seeing so many fall asleep, Bane concluded that the strange mist must be sleeping gas, so he covers his nose just to be safe. He looks around, but more and more contestants also drop like flies, and things got even stranger when the whole building started shaking violently. Suddenly, crocodilian-like creatures came bursting in from multiple holes in the building, from under the ground and through the wall. The contestants screamed in disbelief.
"Oh shit, are these the Croablins they've warned us about?!"
"Oh my goodness, where is the security?!"
Bane wondered about that too, but the Croablins, snarling with their razor sharp snouts, wasted no time in attacking anyone that hadn't succumbed to the sleeping gas. Many of the contestants either ran out the door or hid underneath their seats. One of the Croablins tries to attack Bane, but with a simple kick, Bane knocks him back.
The hell is going on in here, he thought.
Bane looked at the stage and was shocked to see that Titan's Core was no longer in its place. The Croablins also realized this and started making their way to the exit. Bane angrily chases after them,
"Hey, get back here!" He shouted. "That's my treasure!"
However, the Croablins ignored him and burst outside the door, their numbers making it hard for anyone to follow, and when Bane stepped outside, they all had disappeared just as quickly they appeared.
"Huh, where did they go?" He ponders.
