Pecho was comfortably reading a book when he heard two loud guys shouting his name over and over again
"Pecho, where are you?!" One of the guys shouted.
"Man, he is never around when you need him. We've looked everywhere!" The other guy whines.
"Maybe he is here, in his favorite hiding spot."
The two guys walked towards a well to peer into it, but they were disappointed to find it empty.
"Looks like he is not here, either, Timmy."
Timmy scanned in the well, looking for any sign movements, but the only sound he could hear was the one from his own voice. He sighed.
"This is so stupid!" He yells as he frustratingly throws a brick into the well, but just as they were about to make their leave, they start to hear some faint sobs coming from the well. They quickly looked back into the well, and despite the dim light, they could see a green-toadlike creature grabbing his head in agony.
"Pecho!" they shouted.
Pecho, clutching the bump on his head and tears rolling down his eyes, looked up towards an angry pair of eyes.
"There you are. Dim and I have been looking all over for you. Why didn't you respond?" Timmy angrily asked, his voice echoing in the well.
" Sorry… I was…. Um…. sound asleep," he nervously replied. Timmy saw Pecho move something behind his back, but he didn't question it.
"Well, the boss has called for you."
"The boss?"
"Yeah, I don't know why, but he said he really needs you for this mission, so hurry up and get a move on, we don't have all day."
Pecho gulps nervously, knowing that whatever the boss needs him to do, it won't be fun for him.
Pecho could feel the piercing eyes of Timmy and Dim as they stood inside the hut of their boss.
"Boss, he's here!!" Timmy yells.
"Boss?"
Laid down in front of Timmy stood a massive, blue scale reptilian-like body, one so large that it nearly encompasses the entire room, and despite them being the same kind, Timmy has always felt his boss was from a different race. Compared to him, he felt like an ant.
"C'mon, boss, you sleep all day long! It's time to wake up!!" Timmy whines.
"Maybe…we…should…uh, come back later?" Pecho suggests.
"Don't worry, we came prepared. Sorry boss, but it's time to wake up," Dim says, throwing a large red pepper in his razor sharp snoring snout. The boss gulps it down and wakes up screaming.
"HOT! HOT! HOT!" His loud screams echo throughout the swamp.
"WHO GOES THERE?!" He bellows.
"Chill boss, it's us! We got Pecho just like you asked!" Timmy yells while pointing at Pecho. The boss looks down.
"Ah, there you are, Pecho."
"You… called, Captain Krunch?" Pecho nervously asked.
Perching himself on his massive chair and drinking a beverage from a gourd, Captain Krunch calms himself down. He looks down on the anticipated faces of Pecho, Dim, and Timmy.
"Guess, I'll get right to the point. Alright, thanks to some of our spies, we have recently just found out that the native race of this planet, the Clipans, have recently unearthed a very rare mineral called the Titan's Core."
"The Titan's Core?" Pecho asked nervously.
"Yes, it's powerful energy source and low power consumption makes it one of the most highly coveted items in the cosmos. Today, the Clipans are offering it up to the highest—
But before he could finish, someone quietly knocks on the door.
"Yes? Come in," Captain Krunch orders.
Entering through door stood a small, crocodilian-like creature with a messy lab coat on.
"Good afternoon, Captain, hope I'm not disturbing anything?" He asks as he surveys the room.
"No, not at all. I assume you're here because you have it ready?"
"Yes, that is precisely why I'm here."
"Perfect! Well, Pecho, you can go with Doc King here and he'll fill in you in with the rest."
"Wait, so you….really....umm… want me to go up to the surface?" Pecho nervously asks. Captain Krunch angrily glares back at him in response.
"Is there a problem?"
Pecho skin turns quickly turns pale.
"No, sir."
"Good." Captain Krunch says while giving him a wicked smile.
Pecho stood on top of a rock alongside Doc King as he begins to explain the plan to the crowd below them.
"All right, everyone, the boss has a new mission for us!!" He yells to the perplexed crowd. "The natives of this planet have gotten their greedy, little hands on a very rare item, one so rare, that one of our clients is willing to pay a hefty sum for it!"
"Okay that's great, but what is Pecho here?!" Someone yells back. The crowd quickly whispers throughout themselves.
"Quiet!!" Doc King barks. The crowd goes quiet.
"Yes, normally, the boss would get someone that is more…competent, but all of our best guys are out on other missions, including Krawler. Pecho is the only one here who has the ability to turn invisible, so there's no other choice, unless someone else has a better idea?"
With no one speaking up, Doc King continues with his briefing.
"Okay, this is the plan. The Clipans are planning to sell this item to the highest bidder later today at the auction's house, but we would, of course, be taking it before that happens by using this!!"
The crowd gasps in excitement as Doc King holds up a small, silver cylinder item.
"This sleeping gas would make it possible for you guys to cause a decoy and allow Pecho to comfortably take the item before anyone has a chance to notice!"
The crowd starts to jump and dance, pumped to go on the mission.
"Now, hold on a second!!" Doc King barks again. "On your way back here, make sure that you are not followed back here. Our forces are thin right and we wouldn't want to cause trouble for our dear old Captain now, right?"
"Right!!!" The crowd yells back. Doc King turns towards Pecho, handing him over the sleeping gas.
"I don't know why the Captain keeps trusting you since all you ever do mess shit up, but I hope this time, the outcome will be better, yeah?"
Pecho stares into his eyes before slowly nodding his head in agreement.
"Well, all right, just make sure to not cause anymore trouble for the Captain…he has seen better days."
"Oh-okay." Pecho nervously replies. Doc King pats him on the Pecho before departing. Pecho stood motionless on the rock with the sleeping gas in hands, his body dripping with sweat. He has never been asked to do something this big in his life before, with failure being completely unacceptable. However, despite being afraid, he forces his body to move forward towards the crowd.
"All right, everyone, let's move out!!" He yells.
