Chapter 229 - Chapter Two Hundred And Twenty Eight

Camilla shook her head gently. She did not want to waste time eating alone in the massive room. She was eager to see her silk fabrics.

"I will eat there," Camilla replied, waving her hand casually. She meant she would eat at Allen's textile shop in the lower city. "I am already late for my appointment."

She reached into the pocket of her dress and pulled out a pair of simple, dark brown leather gloves. She began pulling them tightly over her fingers, preparing to go outside into the morning air.

"Goodbye, Uncle Murry," Camilla said, turning toward the front doors.

Murry raised his hand and waved politely.

"Goodbye, My Lady," Murry replied. "Have a safe and pleasant day."

Camilla walked out of the mansion. Her carriage was already waiting in the paved courtyard. The driver opened the door for her.

She climbed inside, sat down on the soft velvet seat, and the carriage rolled out of the iron gates, heading toward the busy streets of the capital city.
