Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: A Gloomy Night

After that incident, I felt a fire burning in my chest from the pain. It was a strange feeling, as I fell into a whirlpool of sadness and depression while leaning on my bed, holding my legs with a pillow between them. The moonlight passed through the window and shone on my face. My eyes were very red from crying, while my black hair moved with the wind.

"It's strange that that cheerful and bright sister suddenly committed suicide. If she had been going through difficult moments in her last days, it would have been understandable. Even if she tried to hide her worry or sadness, it should have been noticeable. How can a person hide their feelings? If a person is happy, it can be seen through them, and if they are sad, it is the same. Feelings cannot be hidden. Even if there were some people who could hide their emotions, my sister was not that kind of person." I kept thinking about Olivia while murmuring to myself about how strange the situation was.

The pain gathered in my chest and felt like imaginary chains binding my heart with sadness. From too much thinking and crying, my body collapsed on the bed and I fell asleep.

In a garden full of flowers and grass, where the sunlight was bright and a soft breeze gave a feeling of comfort, I saw a little girl with black hair reaching her waist running and saying, "Edward… Edward… catch me if you can, hahaha!"

When I saw her, I said, "Wait, Olivia! Is that you? Wait for me!" Then I began to run after her, but the distance between us increased. As it increased, she quickly grew older until she reached the age she was before her death. Then she stopped and turned toward me and looked at me with those blue eyes that were shining so brightly that I could hardly look at them. Even so, I could see a smile on her face.

In a moment, the scene changed. The ground split between us and became a barrier preventing me from reaching her. Then she looked at me while the ground she stood on was collapsing and said in a voice full of love, "I hope you can take care of yourself, you idiot."

I began to scream, "Olivia! Quickly, grab my hand! Quickly! Oliviiiaaa!"

And with that, the dream ended. When I woke up, I woke up screaming, "Oliviiiaaa!" Then I realized it was only a nightmare born from my sorrow.
