Chapter 11 - Chapter 10 : The Shattered Mask: Truth in the Moonlight

As the police jeep moved deeper into the forest road—

They suddenly encountered Vikram Singh.

He had already prepared his act.

Torn clothes.

Fake wounds.

A helpless expression.

The moment Inspector Ravi approached—

Vikram broke down, pretending to cry.

"Sir! My children… they've been taken by wolves… monsters!"

"I tried to save them… but look what they did to me!"

A perfect lie.

The police believed him.

"Go back to the haveli. We'll handle this," Ravi assured.

Vikram nodded…

But inside—

He smirked.

What should have been his downfall…

Had now become his greatest weapon.

Sonal walked silently, exhausted.

Her eyes searched for him again and again.

But Valentine…

Walked at a distance.

Ten feet away.

Always.

To her—

It felt like indifference.

But inside him—

A war was raging.

Every breath he took… whispered her name.

Even the smallest thorn on her path—

He crushed it before she could step on it.

Yet…

He refused to come closer.

"I would rather protect you from afar… than love you as a beast and destroy you, Sonal…"

"My love… must never become your curse."

His silence…

Was not rejection.

It was the deepest form of love.

Roshan collapsed to his knees.

"I can't take another step… I'm exhausted," he said weakly.

Alina walked toward him calmly.

As a part of the wolf lineage…

She carried divine energy.

She gently touched his legs.

In an instant—

His exhaustion vanished.

Strength returned to him.

Sonal too was in pain.

She instinctively looked toward Valentine…

Hoping…

But he stood still.

Like stone.

He didn't move.

In the end—

Alina healed her as well.

From a distance—

Valentine watched everything silently.

All he wanted…

Was to ensure that no shadow of his beastly nature…

ever touched Sonal.

Gayatri stood waiting.

The moment Vikram Singh entered—

She looked at him with suspicion.

But Vikram continued his act.

"Did you see what your daughter has done?" he said angrily.

"She sided with those wolves… and tried to kill me!"

Lies… layered with manipulation.

But Gayatri was not convinced.

She didn't believe the story of wolves kidnapping her children.

Something… was wrong.

Very wrong.

The complaint she had filed—

May have helped Vikram play his game…

But in her heart—

A spark of truth had now ignited.

Cliffhanger: The Hunter and the Hunted

From a distance—

The sound of police jeeps echoed through the forest.

Closer… and closer.

Valentine stepped near Sonal.

This time—

Close enough for her to feel his presence.

"The police are coming, Sonal…" he whispered.

"But not for you…"

"They are coming… to hunt the beast."

Sonal looked into his eyes.

There was no visible love…

But there was something stronger—

A fierce determination…

To protect her.

Even if it meant…

Becoming the monster they feared

In front of the ancient, mysterious pavilion deep within the forest, Inspector Ravi stood firm—his pistol aimed straight at Bharath's (Valentine's) chest. The cold metallic glint of the gun reflected the rising tension in the air.

Behind him, Vikram Singh let out a dark, sinister laugh.

"Shoot him, officer! Don't hesitate. This beast is trying to kill my children!"

Just as Ravi's finger tightened on the trigger—

"STOP!"

Like a flash of lightning, Sonal ran forward and stood between the gun and Bharath.

"Before you shoot, see the truth!" she cried, her voice echoing through the forest.

She pulled out the Moonstone from her bag and raised it high.

In the very next second—

A blazing blue flame burst out of the stone, engulfing the entire pavilion. The light was so intense that the officers shielded their eyes.

In that divine glow, Bharath still appeared human…

—but his shadow on the wall transformed into that of a gigantic, terrifying wolf.

The illusion shattered. The truth had begun to reveal itself.

Before anyone could process what they had seen, a voice cut through the silence.

"Enough of this lie!"

From the darkness, a woman stepped forward—her clothes torn by thorns, her face tired but her eyes burning with courage.

It was Gayathri.

Vikram froze.

"Gayathri…? How did you—"

She didn't even look at him. She stood beside Inspector Ravi.

"Sir… everything he said is a lie."

Her voice trembled—but not with fear, with truth.

"Ten years ago, I saw it with my own eyes… this man attacked the Volkov bloodline. He killed innocent people for power. He turned a child—Alina—into an orphan. He murdered Bharath's father… all for that stone!"

Silence.

Heavy. Crushing.

A wife had just stood against her own husband.

Slowly… the police lowered their guns.

The truth had spoken.

Vikram's face twisted into madness.

"No… NO! That stone belongs to me!"

In a sudden move, he snatched a gun from the inspector and pointed it straight at Sonal.

"If you die, the stone will be silent forever!"

BANG!

The gunshot shattered the air.

But…

Sonal stood untouched.

Because in that very instant—

A horrifying sound of bones cracking echoed through the pavilion.

Bharath had transformed.

Not partially…

Completely.

An eight-foot-tall monstrous wolf stood there—his massive claws glowing with raw power. He had caught the silver bullet mid-air… and crushed it into dust.

Even in that terrifying form… his golden eyes were fixed only on Sonal.

With one swift movement, he grabbed Vikram by the throat and slammed him against the wall.

Vikram fell to the ground—bleeding, broken.

As Vikram collapsed, a single drop of his blood flew through the air…

…and landed on the Moonstone in Sonal's hand.

For a moment—

Everything froze.

Then—

The earth trembled.

A deep, ancient energy awakened.

The ground cracked beneath them, the winds howled, and from every corner of the forest—

hundreds of wolves howled together.

The 500-year-old blood pact had been triggered.

The war had begun.

Sonal slowly lifted her eyes and looked at the monstrous wolf before her.

Tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Valentine… even as a beast… you chose to protect me…"

The giant wolf didn't move closer.

Didn't touch her.

He only stood there… guarding her through his shadow.

Even now—he feared hurting her.

From the ground, Vikram let out a final, bitter laugh.

"Sonal… who did you fall in love with?

This beast… or this curse?"

"From today… our bloodline's destruction begins…"

Sonal and Valentine locked eyes.

Love… pain… destiny…

All collided in that single moment.

And just like that—

An eerie silence fell over the cave's entrance. For Inspector Ravi and his team, this was no ordinary crime scene—it was something far beyond human understanding. They had just witnessed a man transform into a beast, and the divine glow of the Moonstone had shaken their very sense of reality. The terrifying wolf form of Bharat (Valentine) was enough to make even trained officers lower their guns in stunned disbelief.

"Vikram Singh, your sins have finally caught up with you," Ravi thundered, locking silver handcuffs onto Vikram's wrists.

Even while bleeding, Vikram let out a twisted laugh. "Inspector… you may be arresting a man… but that beast will burn this entire village! Don't let him go!" he screamed, his eyes still burning with obsession for Sonal and the Moonstone as he was dragged away.
