"You heard me boss." Rumi told him, her gaze flickering towards the door, she slowly turned and started walking away.
"You have to be kidding, until all of this is done..." he asked himself, the files and documents in his room now seeming even larger.
Rumi simply stopped by the door, her hand already gripping the handle gently, she adjusted her glasses, pushing them back up her nose.
"I suggest you get started, the sooner the better. " she told him as she stepped out the door.
Andy sat in his chair and spun around once, he looked at the work on his desk, he sighed deeply, accepting his fate.
"Alright, this is what you wanted right, so lets get started."
He encouraged, trying to give himself whatever hope or confidence he'll need.
He managed to keep himself entertained through his work, it was a habit of his that he tried so hard to stop.
The hours ticked by quickly, he kept working through each file, his hands working overtime to get the job done.
"Okay. 10 down and a lot more to go before im done...great." he told himself with a shaky smile.
By the time the first rays of morning sun illuminated the office, Andy was already fast asleep.
Remnants of the night scattered on his desk and on the carpeted floor.
His snoring echoed loudly in the room, he would turn and mutter some unaudiable under his breathe from time to time.
The door clicked open as Rumi stepped in. Her expression is the same as always, a mix of neutral nonchalance and boredom.
She walked over to his desk, she stood beside him for a few seconds, her hand hovering above his face.
She watched the way he drooled slightly in his sleep, his hair swaying slightly with each movement or shift he made.
"Cute!." The thought rang through her mind as she gently shook him.
"Boss, it's morning, you need to get up and go to the mid morning briefing."
She muttered, but Andy wouldn't get up.
She shook harder, her hands gripping his jacket as the blanket slid down and landed on the carpet below.
"Seriously, you'll get in trouble if Ms Jade finds you asleep." She muttered, but it was no use, and was out like a light.
She stepped back and decided to take drastic measures. She raised her hand and slapped his head onto the desk.
Pens and paper scattered as Andy jolted up, holding the side of his head. "Ouch!! Ohhh that's gonna swell." He said.
As he turned in his chair, he bumped into the left over coffee, it spilled onto his pants, darkening the material.
His eyes landed on Rumi who was holding her wrist, "Oh Rumi....(yawns and stretches.) How long have you been here?."
He asked her, trying to ignore the drip of coffee wetting his boxers.
Rumi looked at him, her eyes locking onto his, "well I've been here for 10 minutes now, trying to wake you up."
"But nevermind, go to the morning meeting, Ms Jade and Ms Ashley are waiting for you." She told him.
Andy blinked a few times, his mind still adjusting to the light. He looked down at his pants and covered the wet spot.
"Oh umm-- could you leave so it can put on some dry pants." He told her, but Rumi just stood there.
"Oh no it's okay, I can watch, so dont worry." She told him, her expression neutral as her eyes darted towards his pants.
"No no no... it's fine, could you just pass me those clothes over there, the ones on the couch." He says.
Rumi grabbed the paper bag and pulled out a smooth pair of baggy pants.
"Here you go. You sure you don't want my help?" She asked as her arm stretched out.
"Dont worry, im sure..." he told her, grabbing the pants.
"Okay boss..." she says as she looked around the office.
