Chapter 22 - Precision

The realm destabilizes, as it has been a long time since the portal was outside for a long time. rocks and stalagmites fall from the upper surface. The clash stopped when a few stalagmites hit the warden in his vulnerable state, moderately injuring him, penetrating through his body, and he collapsed to the ground.

Natsuya tries to land when he uses the finishing move, where he slices the warden in half vertically, which executes successfully. The warden had died from a shock and a strategy from Natsuya.

Hunter System: "Level Up. Current Level: 32. Broken ankle recovery successful. Item Stored: 10 Chocolate Cookies. Heal the Sealed."

Daily Quests: "23 hours, 32 minutes remaining. 3/5: Clear E-Grade Realms. 32/50: Level Up. 0/1: Clear the C-Rank Diamond Dimension."

Natsuya: "Ryuji! I'll get you off these chains!" he pulls a batch of Chocolate Cookies to feed him, "Here, eat these."

After Ryuji nibbles on the cookies rapidly, he feels a little energy in him to the point he can use his powers, so he uses his ability to break out of the chains, which somehow destroys the bars of the prison cell.

Ryuji: "*Standing up* This is called the-"

Natsuya: "We don't have much time! Quick, let's get out of this realm before it's too late!"

The two ran to the exit of the portal, they successfully got to Earth, and the portal disappeared. Ryuji was still relieved to be rescued by Natsuya, as he thanked him with respect.

Ryuji: "Thank you for saving me... if it wasn't for you, I would have died alone and been trapped in the realm for life."

Natsuya: "No problem... This was the nearest E-Grade portal I could find to complete my mission. How did you end up in the realm?"

Ryuji: "As a C-Grade, I worked for the corporation, but we have different locations. I was trying to get more money to afford a blade. I thought I was doing well until that fat-ass captured me and left me to die for a week."

Natsuya: "You're a C-Grade??? Arayuki is one of them!"

Ryuji: "Arayuki was here? I didn't know that! I never saw him in the records... or he joined after I became a C-Grade..."

Natsuya: "I think you were here before him. Making you the first member of the friend group who joined the corporation!"

Ryuji: "I believe so. Only if people didn't praise me for my Precision Technique."

Natsuya: "What's that?"

Ryuji: "Precision Technique is a system judged by ability where accurately estimating mana unlocks reduced costs and a potential perfect, fatal strike, growing stronger with consecutive success."

Natsuya: "So like, sig figs?"

Ryuji: "I will be given a certain number of significant figures randomly from the hunter system, and I have to use that to guess the mana estimate. This also helps me measure more with depth and scale."

Natsuya: "I'm not sure about my technique... even if I know the name, I'm very obscure about what it is."

Ryuji: "It should be fine. Not everyone knows their title when they join."

Natsuya looks up at Ryuji with confidence, thinking about the title he should name himself.

Ryuji: "I'm called the Precise Killer. I named myself that because the hunter system chooses randomly from my powers and feats."

Natsuya: "I'm just thinking about one..."

Ryuji: "Well, you gotta clear not only one realm, but also constantly leveling up."

The Admin: "*Pops up from the Hunter System* Choose your title."

The two are shocked when they see The Admin emerge from Natsuya's hunter system.

Ryuji: "Well, I didn't know you could do that."

Natsuya: "Well, I kill demons. So... Demon... Killer? Others would be extremely perceptive of this name."

The Admin: "New title: Demon Killer. Titles change every 25 Levels."

Ryuji: "This isn't anything our systems should be able to generate. So what happened—did you get hacked, or were you actually smart enough to fake a game interface?"

Natsuya: "I-"

Ryuji: "Nope. Never mind. You don't study, you don't prepare, and you don't take responsibility for your own choices. You hide behind confidence you never earned."

Natsuya: "Let m-"

Ryuji: "Honestly? This pathetic virtual world of yours isn't impressive. It just proves how miserable reality must be for you."

Natsuya "*Enraged* Let me FINISH!!"

He attempts to grab Ryuji's neck, but he is violently stopped from the assault.

Ryuji: "*Kicks Natsuya* BACK OFF! I can insult you as much as I can, whether you like it or not, and earn some confidence. I question why you ask the most obscure questions."

Natsuya: "First of all, I killed that demon that almost executed you. Is this my thanks? Are you thinking about the past? Forget about it! This is nothing like it!"

Ryuji: "Are we for real? You're the only one saying that. You always say it every time!"

Natsuya: "And what about you? You bring up your own anger issues every time we meet, especially with my friends."

Ryuji looked at me with anger, trying to initiate his precision technique, with red aura flourishing through his presence.

Ryuji's Hunter System: "Significant Figures: 2. Collected mana from the demon warden's decomposing radiation. Current mana: ~25.833%. Estimate the accurate number."

He looks at the mana balance, seeing it close to 26.

Ryuji: "25.85%."

Ryuji's Hunter System: "Correct. Gained 50% mana, 25% mana boost, 10% damage, 20% resistance."

Natsuya engages in the fight, and he equips the horn from his inventory, attempting to fight him. Ryuji makes the first move by walking fiercely, then Natsuya starts to put up a good stance.

Ryuji runs towards Natsuya with his fist, preparing to strike him, as he tries to defend himself from the attack.

Natsuya: "*Thinking, shocked* Here it goes!"

Ryuji: "*Running, clenching his fist to make lethal damage* Precision: Point 338 Lapua Magnum!"

Red energy appeared from his fist, and he let out a strong strike. Natsuya thought he was struck, until a demon behind him was Ryuji's target, which he ultimately hit on its head.

Ryuji: "Headshot!"

After he says the finishing move, it let out a small, carmine explosion that shattered the demon's body, and he looks at its demise with glory. He had killed it with his powers, which surprised Natsuya.

Natsuya: "Is this your power? It's very overpowered, from my perspective. I regret making a full-blown argument back there."

Ryuji: "Honestly, I forgot 50% what we mostly talked about."

Natsuya: "Well, that's a 50% chance to pay attention this time."

Ryuji: "Damn right, cynically speaking."

Natsuya: "If you forget this again, I'm leaving you to deal with the next demon alone."

Ryuji: "Oh hell, no-"

Natsuya: "*Obnoxious* Then how did you kill that demon using your precision, not raw power?"

Ryuji: "It's an E-Grade, I checked it with the system. I wonder where the demon comes from..."

Natsuya: "E-Grade demon... comes from... An E-GRADE PORTAL! I JUST NEED THIS TO FINISH ONE OF MY QUESTS!"

Ryuji: "*Notices the quests Natsuya was mentioning about* Your system is just an inadequate video game, I'll give you that."

Natsuya: "Thanks. Inadequacy is a compliment. It means there's room for growth... if you're willing to earn it. If you've truly grown up, clear the realm with me."

Ryuji: "If that's what growing up looks like, then I'm done hesitating. Lead the way. Where's the portal?"

Natsuya: "*Checking the nearest coordinates of the E-Grade Portal* It's... that way. *Points to the right*."

Ryuji: "Let's go!"
