"Whew… that was dangerous."
Just moments ago, he had nearly been killed by a firewood knife. Zatanna had been furious, flames rising around her while her hair fluttered wildly, just like Kushina from Naruto.
Fortunately, Jin reacted quickly and kissed her in time. Her anger subsided almost immediately. In the end, Zatanna reluctantly compromised and told him to visit those entertainment places less often.
It seemed she believed he had gone to some chaotic nightlife venue. In any case, Jin had managed to escape the situation without getting hurt.
"I should go downstairs and buy some groceries."
He subconsciously checked his pocket, only to find it completely empty.
Scratching his head helplessly, Jin muttered, "This is really frustrating. I earned money just last month… how did I spend it all already?"
There was no other option.
He would have to go back to "work" and make some money again.
Everyone knows what Gotham City is famous for.
It never lacks gangsters or criminals.
And what do gangsters never lack?
Money.
So Jin decided to visit a gang and do a little "work," aiming to earn a perfect one-day million.
After leaving his apartment, he rode his motorcycle toward the construction dock he knew best.
Soon, he arrived at a harbor filled with countless containers. Even during the daytime, gangsters were still conducting shady transactions there.
Jin's job was simple.
Confiscate their dirty money.
After parking his motorcycle, he put on a homemade gas mask. With a light jump, he stepped onto a container and began moving quickly across the tops of the stacked cargo.
Within moments, he reached the trading area.
There he saw two familiar figures: Penguin (Oswald Cobblepot) and Black Mask (Roman Sionis).
The two gang leaders had personally come to supervise the deal.
Normally, bosses like them would never appear at a transaction in person.
However, Gotham had changed in recent years.
Batman.
Nightwing.
Batgirl.
And the new Robin.
Because of these heroes, the gangs had become much more cautious.
But there was an even bigger problem.
In recent years, a mysterious man wearing a black trench coat and a gas mask had begun appearing during gang transactions.
Whenever he appeared, he robbed the deal.
Penguin approached Black Mask and asked seriously, "Did you make sure no one followed you?"
Black Mask replied calmly, "yes. What about you?"
"Same here."
Both men relaxed slightly. Finally, it seemed that the deal could proceed normally.
Suddenly, both of them sensed something and turned their heads at the same time.
A crow had landed on a nearby container.
Just as they were about to relax again—
"Caw… caw… caw…"
A large flock of crows began circling in the sky above them.
The birds kept circling endlessly, as if they had sensed death approaching.
The strange scene instantly caused panic among the gangsters.
"He's here!"
"He must be here!"
"We're going to die!"
"I don't want to die!"
The chaos made Penguin and Black Mask shout at the same time.
"Shut up!"
If word of this spread, it would become a complete joke. Their men were already collapsing mentally before the enemy had even appeared.
Black Mask straightened his suit and said coldly, "Relax. I made preparations this time."
Penguin frowned for a moment before suddenly realizing something.
His expression immediately brightened.
"You mean…?"
The two gang bosses exchanged a knowing smile, instantly feeling much more confident that the deal would proceed smoothly.
"Bang! Bang!"
Suddenly, gunshots echoed through the dock.
Two gangsters were instantly shot in the head and collapsed to the ground But upon closer inspection, you will see that there is no blood at all, indicating that the bullet is fake.
Penguin and Black Mask quickly looked toward the source of the gunfire.
A figure slowly emerged.
A black trench coat.
A cowboy hat.
And a gas mask.
It was Jin.
"Hello, my two old friends."
Although this was technically their first meeting, those words immediately filled Penguin and Black Mask with rage.
Many of their previous deals had been ruined because of this man.
They wanted nothing more than to tear him apart.
This time, Jin had even brought a gun.
Black Mask shouted furiously, "You bastard! Since you dared to appear in front of me today, don't even think about leaving here alive!"
Then he shouted loudly:
"Deathstroke!"
A tall man wearing combat armor stepped forward from behind him.
His mask revealed only his left eye. He held a long sword in his right hand and a pistol in his left.
The familiar appearance made Jin recognize him instantly.
One of Gotham's most dangerous villains.
Deathstroke.
His real name was Slade Wilson.
A legendary mercenary and a superhuman enhanced soldier.
If someone in Gotham could rival Batman in hand-to-hand combat, Deathstroke would definitely be one of the best candidates.
He had even fought members of the Justice League, including Green Lantern, Green Arrow, and Flash.
For the current Jin, he was an extremely troublesome opponent.
Jin narrowed his eyes slightly.
"So you hired help."
"No wonder you dared to come out and make a deal."
