(scene: The arena, sector 4.)
The crowd's cheers don't falter. We see Rangako walk up the steps to join gajo in the elevated stands. she sits beside him, gajo turns to her "Good job, rangako! you make me proud." rangako blushes softly "Thank you, sensei." gajo nods, leaning forward looking down at the ring.
Commentator: "MOVING ON! WE HAVE ALSO FROM THE MANJI GANG.. DABO KUGASAKIIIII!" the crowd roars as a man in blue walk out casually, Hands in his pockets. Pale skin, sunken tired eyes, spikey black hair, unbothered expression. Dabo. Aris narrows his gaze "That's him, hm?" Yobi: "you think kai's got this..?" Aris just shrugs. the crowd barks "DO IT TO EM DABO!!" "OH YEAHH KUGASAKI!" Dabo cracks his neck "tch, this is so annoying. But i guess captain needs me to do this. especially since rize lost against that dragon girl.."
commentator: "THEN.. A ROOKIE! HERE ON BLESSINGS, KAI NIKAZIWA!!" Aris exhales "thank god he didn't register under tetsukan.." slowly.. Kai emerges from the tunnel, adjusting his white glove, looking around the giant crowd.. shouts spark "WHO THE HELL IS THIS TWERP!?" "HEY KID, YA STRONG OR WHAT!?" Kai scans he crowd.. slight nervousness trickling in. But then, it shifts.. A goofy, naive smirk. Kai: "HELL YEAH I AM! JUST WATCH." crowd member: "KID'S GOT SPARK!" Yobi: "OUU YEAH!!" Aris just covers his face. kai smirks, and points right at dabo "SORRY PAL, BUT YOU'RE GOING DOWNNNNNN!" the ref steps in "ready your lines!"
dabo exhales, annoyance setting in. "tch.. n you're the type i hate the most. Listen.. my line count, is only two. N ill beat you with that." *SNAP* two glowing lines appear behind him. Kai smirks "fool." *BBVVT* fifty short lines appear behind Kai. the arena roars "WOAH!" "WHO THE HELL IS THIS KID!?" "I WANNA CHANGE MY BETTTTT!!" the noise becomes chaotic. Aris: "They're so fooled.." rangako leans in "sensei.." Gajo's hands are clapped together, his face resting against them. eyes locked onto Kai below.. Dabo's eyes narrow "mm.." Kai: "SCARED!?" the ref drops his hand "START!"
Dabo leaps back instantly, snatching a line "SHIELD!" *BFFF* it shifts into a steel cyan shield. Thirty of kai's lines fly in! *CLANG, CLANG, CLANG!* strikes being blocked cleanly! Kai rushes in, running in a wide circle, thinking: "i gotta find an opening!" dabo tracks him with his eyes "that was straight forward.. a diversion..?" he counts kai's lines.. twenty "still there.." he grips his second line "SWORD!" a cyan blade appears, Kai skids to a stop, ten of his lines fly in! then- *BVTT!* twenty more lines appear behind him, thirty now. dabo leaps out the lines path, running full circles around kai! Kai watches him "tch..!" *FWOOSH!* Both dabo's shield and sword disperse into blue ash. Kai: "TUH, YOU CRAZY!?" *FWOOSH!* twenty more lines fly in at dabo! dabo steps and dodges smoothly. he smirks "he's slow..! i can win!" he bursts forward! a single line appearing behind him. "NOW! SWORD!" another blue blade appearing. Kai: "FINE, SWORD!" He grabs one of his short lines, it shifts.. into a small dagger. *CLANG!* they clash! then- *ZZ* kais blade vibrates violently. his eyes widen "TCH!" *SHATTER!* HIS BLADE CRACKS, dispersing into blue ash, forcing Kai to leap back! Dabo: "you wont be summoning anymore lines for at Least 5 minutes." Kai pants "damn it.. he stunned me!"
Rangako: "The hell was that..?" gajo: "When a line is put under too much pressure, it breaks. leaving a temporary blockage in the souls flow, stunning him." Kai twitches.. only 9 lines left. Dabo raises his blade "seems you're done." he charges in! Kai panics, thrusting his palms outward "SHIELD!!" *BBVT!* All nine lines combine, forming a large shield! Dabo slides to a stop, smirking. Kai steps back- *SLICEEE* Blood drips..! Kai freezes.. Aris and yobi both widen their eyes. Kai staggers, coughing as his hand reaches for his chest.. A LINE STRAIGHT THROUGH HIS BACK OUT HIS CHEST. "From.. behind..?" his shield fading away into blue ash. Dabo: "i told you i'd win just with my two lines." Kai collapses to the ground, Dabo turning away "That move is called pin, by the way." and he just walks away. whispers spread in the crowd.. "man, he was jus a push over after all." "I mean he is in sector 4." gajo stares at kai.. something unreadable in his expression. "hm.." crowd member: "uh.. he dead..?" *FWOOSH* Aris lands by kais body, grabbing him by the collar. "Tch, lets go. i told you, you're weak." He and Yobi drag him to the metal doors. crowd member: "hey, thats captain Aris.. that guys with him??" the metal door clangs behind them.
(scene: tetsukan, sector 4)
Back at testsukan, in the upstairs house area, Kai lies on a couch, shirtless, a bandage wrapped around his body. Aris, Yobi and Makimi stand over him. Makimi: "How could you guys let him get so hurt??" Yobi rubs his neck "Maybe we should've stepped in..?" Aris shrugs "i warned the idiot, he seen it coming. plus, the injury missed any vital spots, the guy wasn't aiming to kill. I'll consider the cherry lucky for that." he walks out the room, Yobi watching him leave.
