Anisha paced to her chambers, wanting to talk to Nhel, but he wasn't there. Instead, she found him out in the courtyard speaking with Jace.
Nhel turned when he sensed her presence.
She decided to wait for him back in the bedchamber and headed back.
He came in not quite long after.
He looked at her, knowing she had something to say to him, though he didn't know what it was.
"Do you want to say something?" Nhel asked when Anisha just stood, staring at him in silence.
"What's this talk about you marrying Jasmine?" Anisha began.
Nhel furrowed his brows. How did she find out so soon?
"Tell me, is it true?" Anisha urged.
"Surprisingly, that's what the King is asking for," Nhel replied.
Anisha's heart sank.
"Why didn't you tell me? Are you planning on going along with the marriage?"
"You're already thinking far, Anisha. Of course not."
"But this is what Jasmine wants, isn't it? This has been her plan all along," Anisha retorted.
Silence stretched between them for a moment.
