"I'm not joking, Damien!" she cried, struggling beneath him. "You promised....you promised you would never force yourself on me!"
He ignored her completely.
Leaning down, he captured her lips again, more intense this time. His kiss was fierce, almost desperate, as if driven by something deeper than anger.
Aria struggled, struggling beneath him, trying to break free but his grip was unyielding.
Let me go! Her mind screamed the words even when her voice failed her.
His lips moved against hers relentlessly, not giving her the chance to fight back properly until, finally, he pulled away.
The moment he did, Aria scrambled backward across the bed, her body shaking. She wrapped her arms tightly around herself, her breathing uneven, tears brimming in her eyes.
"I wouldn't force myself on you if you didn't want me to," Damien said at last, his voice low and controlled as he stood up straight. "It goes against my principles."
He paused, his gaze dark and unreadable.
