A GIRLS FIGHT OUT
It was a late afternoon on a warm Sunday and there sat Dasia, Nene, Laura, and Tani at a restaurant table dining for their annual get-together. They've been best friends since childhood and only started their group gatherings when they've all started their twenties. This particular day their friendship took a turn for the worst.
Dasia had too many glasses of wine and became a bit tipsy and started behaving very toxic. Dasia sits her glass down and grabs ahold of Laura's hand to tell her a secret but it was of malicious intent. She stares Laura in the eyes and says drunkenly "I kissed your crush and ate your custom candy bag at your eighth birthday party." Dasia then laughs hysterically with a coldness in her eyes. All the girls except Dasia, didn't find it funny and were disappointed with the way Dasia was behaving, and Laura was mostly disgusted. Dasia stops her disturbing laughter and is puzzled by the reaction of the other ladies. "Why isn't anyone laughing?" she asked, and everyone responded at the same time "Because it's not funny!" Dasia rolls her eyes and continues to drink her sixth glass of wine. Time goes on and Tani calls for a waiter to bring the bill so they can leave. Nene places her money on the table next to Tani to pay for her meal. Then heads out to the parking lot to start the car for the rest of the girls because they came together.
The rest of the girls came and got in the car and everyone rode in silence. Dasia sat in the front while Nene drove, and Laura sat behind Nene while Tani sat behind Dasia. After a while of being in the car out of nowhere Laura frustration became a burst of anger "So kissed my crush, ate my candy, and helped me look for it?" Laura asked rhetorically, then she and Dasia began to argue. Tani is in the back trying to defuse the situation and Nene is in the front dissociating from their nonsense. They arrive at their first stop, Dasia's house. Both Tani and Nene say their goodbyes but Laura ignores it and glares out her window with her arms folded instead. "Bye everybody! See you later…Laura!" Dasia says, in a cavalier manner. Laura responds by shouting "Bye…you fat bitch!" Tani giggled and Nene smirked and shook her head and drove off to drive Tani home next. While Dasia was gone, they bonded immensely. Reminiscing about old memories when they were in high school. They get to Tani's apartment complex parking lot and before Tani goes inside they make a plan to go somewhere without Dasia to let her "wine down." Tani goes to her apartment and Nene takes off to drive Laura home.
The next morning Nene texted the group to check up on the girls. "Hey! How is everyone doing today?" she asked, trying her best to break the tension. "I'm great!" Tani responded, not having a care in the world about the fight between Laura and Dasia. "I'm doing fabulous honey. I don't know about others though." Dasia responds in a condescending manner. Laura was just going to respond by saying she's good but after seeing Dasia's message she became furious. "You're such a bitch Dasia! I hate you!" Laura sent that message then abruptly removed herself from the group chat and ended up blocking Dasia from all forms of communication. Nene told Dassia off and deleted the whole group chat so they can just text each other individually.
That afternoon Nene, Tani and Laura decided to go on a tour through a fruit orchard. They arrive at the orchard and meet their tour guide Jacobe. He begins showing them around the cherry isle first. As they're taking a walk they stopped to take a picture with the tour guide. Tani, who took the picture, immediately posted the photo on social media after she had taken it. Dasia saw the post while she was scrolling and relaxing at a spa with some of her more exclusive friends. It made her jealous and feel excluded. So she started brainstorming to plot against them. Tani, Nene, and Laura's tour had come to an end after a couple of hours. Jacobe gave them gift bags and the girls said their farewells. The girls made a last minute decision to go and spend the night at Nene's house but their location was on. Dasia saw it and rushed to Nene's house to confront them. She burst through the doors and shouted obnoxiously because they left her out of the group get-together. They started to explain why and that it wasn't of ill intent but she didn't take it as that. Dasia shot out Nene's front door outraged by them not inviting her even though she was already out with others.
The night came and Nene and Tani called Dasia on a threeway but she didn't answer. So they tried again and again until she did. Dasia picked up the phone and expressed that she was done with them and to stop calling her phone, then hung up. Nene and Tani were appalled by Dasia's demeanor toward them. They weren't expecting her to lash out like that.
Tuesday, Nene and Tani sat outside of Dasia's house all day until she came outside. Dasia descended down the stairs and entered the car. Nene and Tani sat and explained why they didn't invite her and it was because Laura was there and they wouldn't have felt right putting them two into the same environment after a conflict. Dasia told them she forgave them but inside her heart she really couldn't let it go. She went back inside and pursued the idea of plotting to turn them against each other. Forming the most egregious idea to make them feel a worse pain than she felt just by them leaving her out. Dasia contacted both of Nene and Tani's ex-boyfriend's and gave them their new information since both Tani and Nene cut them off because they were abusive.
ENVIOUS FAUX
A gust of wind thrust against the windows forcing them open, knocking the papers off of Nene and Tani's desks. As they work deadlines to have enough information on the weekly sales to bring to their boss by the end of the day.
Suddenly, two strange men with black masks on burst through the doors with guns almost breaking them off the henges. "Where is Nene? Where is Tani?" they both shouted, with a contumelious tone of voice. Nene and Tani locked eyes in panic. In fear of what they might do, Nene and Tani both get below their desks to hide from the hostile intruders. The two truculent men kept yelling and yelling for Nene and Tani to come out and talk to them. Both Nene and Tani shook and trembled as they got up from the desks with their hands up. One of them took off their mask and said to Nene "Hey baby! I've missed you." With a tight-lipped smile on his face." Nene eyes set wide with disbelief. So many thoughts ran through her mind she couldn't even think clearly. All she could wonder was how this could have happened. "Wale…H-How did you know where I was?" Nene asked the man. He didn't answer but changed the subject to something else. While Nene and Wale conversed, the other man took his mask off and it was Tani's ex-boyfriend, Farro. He tried to hug her but she stepped back and gave him a death glare. Farro smirked with pride. He tried to go for another hug but was interrupted by policemen. The police issued verbal commands for them to get low and comply. Both Wale and Farro got down on the floor but once the policemen got closer they tried to hurry and slipped past them without being busted. Fortunately, Wale and Farro were arrested and Nene and Tani were taken to their boss's office for questioning.
The police began to ask them all that they've seen and know about the two men that invaded the building. They told them everything, even their history with the men and then Nene and Tani were let go. Their boss Mr. Walt told them to take a few days off of work to lighten their mental load until the air clears at work. Nene and Tani got their belongings and went home. While everything was going on, the news caught everything and Laura saw it so when she got the chance, she immediately called Nene and Tani on a threeway. They all discussed what happened and decided to take a walk through the city and go shopping.
Nene exited the call and sat in her yellow lounge chair and contemplated the devastating events that took place at her job. Drained of her energy she became numb and started to disassociate. She snapped out of zoning and walked to the bathroom to get in the shower and prepare for her friend date with Laura and Tani.
