The words sent shock and utter disbelief racing down Aria's spine, so much so that she found herself questioning whether she had heard him correctly.
"What did you just say?" Aria asked, raising a brow. Her voice was steady.
A slow, dangerous smirk spread across Damien's lips. "I said, kiss me, Aria." His tone was calm, almost teasing, as though he hadn't just dropped something outrageous between them. "Are you going to do it or not? The ball's in your court."
Aria let out a quiet, incredulous scoff. "What the hell? You said nothing intimate was going to happen between us. Or was that just another one of your lies?" Her voice dropped to a whisper, barely audible, meant only for him. "Why should I believe you now? You're already breaking your promise."
Damien's gaze darkened, though the smirk lingered. "I never said I wanted to sleep with you," he replied, his voice low and controlled. "And for the record, you're not even my type."
