Damien's voice suddenly cut through the silence.
Aria flinched.
His eyes were now open....sharp, aware, and locked directly onto her.
Her heart skipped violently.
She had been caught.
"Yo...y...you said I'd have the room to myself last night," Aria said, trying to sound composed, though her voice betrayed a slight edge of unease. She raised a brow, swallowing hard. "So… how exactly are you here?"
"I changed my mind," Damien replied smoothly as he pushed himself up from the bed. His tone was effortless. "Is there a problem with that?"
He stood to his full height, completely unbothered.
"We share this room, after all."
Aria's lips parted slightly, but no words came out.
"Anyway," Damien continued casually, stretching his shoulders as if he hadn't just invaded her personal space in the middle of the night, "you should come downstairs once you're done freshening up. Breakfast is ready."
