Chapter 11 - Chapter 20: The Last Gamble

Night settled slowly over the city.

From the outside, Han Corporation's headquarters still looked as powerful as ever. The massive glass tower gleamed with thousands of lights, standing proudly among the skyline.

But inside, the atmosphere had completely changed.

Panic was spreading.

Executives hurried through the hallways with tense faces. Phones rang constantly. Legal teams had been summoned. Emergency meetings were happening on multiple floors.

At the center of the storm—

Victor Han sat alone in his office.

The city lights reflected in the massive windows behind him, casting long shadows across the polished floor.

On the desk in front of him lay a single document.

Financial Regulatory Commission: Official Investigation Notice

Victor stared at it silently.

For the first time in years, something had slipped beyond his control.

His assistant stood nearby, clearly nervous.

"Sir… the regulators are requesting full access to our financial records by tomorrow morning."

Victor did not respond immediately.

His fingers tapped slowly against the desk.

"Delay them."

The assistant hesitated.

"Sir… we may not be able to stall them for long."

Victor leaned back in his chair, eyes narrowing.

"Then we don't stall them."

The assistant blinked.

"Sir?"

Victor's voice dropped to a quiet, dangerous tone.

"We destroy what they're looking for."

The assistant froze.

"You mean… the servers?"

Victor nodded slowly.

"The command server. Transaction records. Backup nodes."

Everything connected to the illegal manipulation network.

If the regulators obtained that data, Han Corporation would collapse overnight.

The assistant swallowed.

"But sir… if the destruction is discovered—"

Victor interrupted coldly.

"It won't be."

He opened a drawer and removed a secure phone.

"Call the data center."

---

Across the city, in the quiet café where Adrian had been working for the past few days, the night crowd had begun to arrive.

But Adrian was no longer there.

He had moved.

Now he sat in a small apartment filled with computer monitors and networking equipment.

The room glowed with the soft light of multiple screens.

Han Corporation's systems were still open on one display.

Adrian had not disconnected.

Not yet.

His eyes moved carefully across the incoming network activity.

Then suddenly—

A new signal appeared.

Adrian's gaze sharpened.

"Interesting…"

Inside Han Corporation's system logs, a high-level authorization command had just been issued.

Emergency access.

Restricted server control.

Adrian quickly traced the command source.

Victor Han's executive credentials.

Adrian leaned forward slightly.

"What are you planning?"

The next command appeared.

Remote Data Purge – Command Server

Adrian exhaled slowly.

"So that's your last move."

Victor Han was trying to erase the evidence.

Adrian immediately opened another terminal window.

His fingers moved quickly across the keyboard.

Firewall layers shifted.

Network permissions changed.

Security protocols rewrote themselves.

The command server no longer belonged to Victor Han.

Now—

It belonged to Adrian.

---

Back at Han Corporation headquarters, Victor stood beside his desk while the assistant connected the secure call.

"Sir," the assistant said nervously, "the data center manager is on the line."

Victor took the phone.

"Execute protocol Omega."

The manager on the other end sounded shocked.

"Sir… protocol Omega will wipe the entire command server."

"Yes."

"But sir, that will also erase several financial systems."

Victor's voice turned icy.

"Do it."

There was a brief silence.

Then—

"Yes, sir."

Victor hung up the phone.

His expression remained calm.

Cold.

Without evidence, the regulators had nothing.

Without evidence, Zhao Group's accusations were meaningless.

The assistant let out a slow breath.

"It's over, then."

Victor looked toward the city skyline again.

"Yes."

"It's over."

---

In Adrian's apartment, a warning alert flashed across the screen.

Server Destruction Command Detected

Adrian smirked slightly.

"Too late."

His fingers moved once more across the keyboard.

Instead of allowing the command server to be destroyed—

He redirected the purge command.

The system processed the instruction.

New Target Confirmed.

Across Han Corporation's entire internal network—

A chain reaction began.

Hundreds of internal files suddenly appeared.

Encrypted documents unlocked.

Hidden financial accounts revealed.

Illegal transaction logs opened.

And most importantly—

The entire data archive was automatically forwarded.

Recipient: Financial Regulatory Commission

Backup Recipients: Major Financial Media Networks

Adrian leaned back calmly.

"If Victor Han wants to destroy something," he murmured,

"he can destroy his own company."

---

Back inside Han Corporation headquarters—

The assistant's tablet suddenly exploded with notifications.

"Sir!"

Victor turned sharply.

"What is it?"

The assistant's voice shook.

"Our internal files—"

"What about them?"

"They're being transmitted!"

Victor stepped forward.

"To where?"

The assistant stared at the screen in horror.

"Regulators… news agencies… financial networks…"

Victor's face turned pale.

"How?!"

Then another notification appeared.

System Override: External Administrator

Victor's eyes widened.

Someone had taken control of the server.

Someone inside his system.

Suddenly—

Every screen inside the office building flickered.

Conference room displays.

Office monitors.

Lobby screens.

All of them switched simultaneously.

One message appeared across every display.

A single line of text.

Illegal Financial Activity Confirmed. Data Released to Authorities.

The room fell silent.

Victor Han slowly stepped backward.

For the first time in his life—

He looked defeated.

---

Across the city, Lina Zhao sat quietly in her office.

The night skyline shimmered outside her window.

Her phone vibrated.

A message from Adrian.

Check the news.

Lina opened a financial news website.

The headline appeared instantly.

"Han Corporation Under Massive Investigation After Internal Data Leak."

Below it were screenshots.

Documents.

Transaction records.

Everything.

Lina leaned back in her chair.

Victor Han's empire had just collapsed.

Her phone buzzed again.

Another message from Adrian.

Sorry for the dramatic ending.

Lina couldn't help smiling slightly.

For the first time in days—

The war was finally over.

Or so it seemed.
