During the grand birthday celebration, the two kings stood before the gathered guests and announced the royal marriage. Soon after, Prince Lobsang and Princess Chorten Pema were married.
After the wedding, Princess Chorten left the vampire kingdom and began her journey to the wolf kingdom with her husband. She took Tsering with her, who had now grown into a boy of fourteen.
A few days later, a messenger from the vampire kingdom arrived with troubling news. The messenger secretly lived among humans and kept watch over the human world.
He reported that many people had been mysteriously disappearing at night. The police could not even find their bodies, and no one knew who was responsible.
Fear spread among humans. Soon, people were so terrified that no one dared to leave their homes after nightfall.
The vampire king listened to the report but did not think much of it.
"It is probably the work of a serial killer," he said.
Soon after, the vampire king made an important decision. He announced that Rinchin Pema would inherit the throne and rule the vampire kingdom.
The coronation ceremony would take place in three days.
Royal invitations were sent to the wolf kingdom.
When the news reached the wolf kingdom, Queen Chorten Pema and King Lobsang prepared to attend the ceremony. Soon, they arrived at the vampire castle on their royal horses.
Chorten was also pregnant.
When the vampire king saw them, he welcomed them with great joy. The thought of becoming a grandfather soon filled him with happiness.
Only one day remained before the ceremony.
Late that night, the messenger rushed into the king's chamber once again.
"My lord," he said nervously, bowing deeply, "a human claims he has seen the killer."
The king slowly sat up.
"What did he see?"
"He says the killer was a girl… a vampire with white hair."
The vampire king's expression darkened.
"The news has spread across the human world," the messenger continued. "But no one believes him. They say he is just a drunk man."
He hesitated.
"But my lord… I saw the fear in his eyes. It did not look like he was lying."
The room fell silent.
"Hmmm," the king murmured. "We will discuss this tomorrow. I am tired. You may leave."
"Yes, my lord."
The messenger bowed and left.
But the king remained restless.
He stood by the window, staring into the dark night, thinking about the words again and again.
Finally, he clapped his hands.
A vampire soldier entered and bowed.
"Bring Princess Rinchin Pema to my chamber."
"Yes, my lord."
Soon, Rinchin entered the room.
"You called me, Father?"
"Yes," the king said slowly. "Come here… and let me taste your blood."
He held out a wine glass.
The vampire king possessed a rare power. By drinking someone's blood, he could see their past.
Rinchin frowned.
"But why, Father?"
"Do as I say."
Rinchin hesitated.
"Did you hear what I said?" the king asked coldly.
"Yes, Father."
She bit her hand with her fangs and let the blood drip into the wine glass.
The king lifted the glass and drank.
Suddenly—
Visions flooded his mind.
Dark streets.
Screaming humans.
Blood in the night.
His hand trembled.
The glass slipped from his fingers and shattered on the floor.
He stared at Rinchin in shock.
"So it was you," he said slowly.
"You were the one killing the humans."
Rinchin lifted her head calmly.
"I have done nothing wrong, Father," she said. "Why should we hide from humans when we can rule over them? They are weak. We are strong. Their blood is far better than animal blood. It makes us stronger."
The king's face hardened.
"If humans discover our existence, they will hunt us. They could destroy everything we have built."
His voice rose with anger.
"Because of your selfishness, you have put the entire kingdom in danger."
Silence filled the room.
"You no longer deserve the throne."
He pointed toward the door.
"Leave. Send your sister Chorten to me. Your punishment will be decided tomorrow."
Rinchin quietly left the room.
A short time later, Queen Chorten entered the chamber, holding her belly gently.
"You called me, Father?"
"Yes," the king said.
He stared out the window before speaking.
"I have made a decision. Rinchin will not inherit the throne. She has broken our most sacred law by killing humans."
He paused.
"Your child will inherit the throne instead. Tomorrow I will announce it."
He turned toward Chorten.
Suddenly—
A silver blade pierced his heart.
The king gasped.
But Chorten's face began to change.
Before his eyes, her appearance shifted.
Rinchin stood before him.
"You forgot something, Father," she said coldly. "Human blood has given me new powers."
She smiled.
"Now I can become anyone I want."
The king struggled to breathe.
"I tried to convince you," she said softly. "But you refused to listen."
She leaned close.
"Tomorrow, I will sit on the throne. And Chorten will be blamed for your murder."
She pushed the knife deeper.
The vampire king's body turned to ash.
Rinchin stood alone in the darkness… smiling.
Moments later, she transformed into Chorten's appearance and quietly left the chamber.
Then she returned in her own form.
"NO! FATHER!"
Her scream echoed through the castle.
Guards rushed inside.
They saw only ashes on the floor.
Rinchin collapsed beside them.
"Father…"
Then she looked up in anger.
"Who was here before me?"
"My lady," one guard said, bowing, "Queen Chorten Pema entered the chamber earlier."
Rinchin widened her eyes in fake shock.
"My own sister… killed our father?"
Her voice turned cold.
"Arrest her and her family immediately."
The guards obeyed.
Behind them, Rinchin's tears slowly disappeared… and a faint smile appeared on her lips.
Chorten, Lobsang, and Tsering were soon dragged into the great vampire hall.
Rinchin now sat upon the throne.
"Where is Father?" Chorten asked.
Rinchin's voice exploded with anger.
"You killed him!"
"What?!" Chorten cried.
"Our father is dead."
Blood tears ran down Chorten's face.
"You murdered him."
"No! I didn't!"
Guards stepped forward.
"We saw Queen Chorten entering the king's chamber before his death."
The hall erupted.
"Kill her!"
"Kill the murderer!"
Rinchin raised a silver sword.
But suddenly—
A blade pressed against her throat.
It was the messenger.
"RUN!" he shouted to Chorten.
Chorten, Lobsang, and Tsering ran into the snowy night.
Behind them, the messenger screamed as guards attacked him.
They ran through the forest.
Suddenly, Chorten collapsed.
Her labor had begun.
"Take your mother," Lobsang told Tsering. "I will distract them."
He ran toward the guards.
Tsering helped Chorten hide behind a snow-covered tree.
Moments later, Chorten gave birth to a baby boy.
She wrapped him gently and placed him into Tsering's arms.
"Take him far away from here," she whispered.
"Protect your brother."
"I can't leave you, Mom," Tsering said, crying.
Footsteps approached.
"Go!" she said urgently.
Tsering ran.
Through the snow.
Through the forest.
Until he reached a human town.
He climbed onto a bus without knowing where it was going.
Holding his baby brother tightly, blood tears fell from his eyes.
He wiped them away quietly.
The bus engine started.
And slowly, it carried the two brothers far away from the vampire kingdom.
