Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Rise of the Dark Queen.

Years Earlier…

On the night Queen Chorten escaped the vampire kingdom, King Lobsang ran in the opposite direction to distract the vampire soldiers.

As he ran deeper into the snowy forest, he suddenly transformed into his wolf form. His powerful body moved swiftly through the snow, drawing the soldiers away from Queen Chorten and Tsering.

For a while, the plan worked.

The soldiers chased him instead.

But eventually they surrounded him.

Lobsang turned and began to fight. Even in his wolf form he was terrifyingly strong. Several vampire soldiers were thrown aside as he attacked them.

The soldiers struggled to stop him.

Then suddenly—

An arrow pierced into his back.

Lobsang growled in pain and turned around.

Standing not far away was Princess Rinchin Pema.

The arrow had been coated with a special poison meant for wolves. Its effect was immediate.

Lobsang's strength began to fade.

Within moments, he collapsed onto the snowy ground and slowly transformed back into his human form.

The vampire soldiers looked shocked. Even they had not expected the powerful wolf king to fall so quickly.

Rinchin stepped forward calmly.

"Go," she ordered coldly. "Find Queen Chorten and the boy."

The soldiers quickly ran into the forest to search for them.

Only three soldiers remained behind with Rinchin.

"Take King Lobsang back to the castle," she commanded.

The soldiers obeyed immediately.

Not long after, the soldiers returned with Queen Chorten.

She had been captured alone in the forest.

They dragged her into the vampire castle and forced her to kneel before Rinchin's throne.

One of the soldiers bowed deeply.

"My lady… we could not find her son Tsering or the newborn child."

Rinchin slowly rose from the throne.

She walked toward Chorten with a faint smile.

"How unfortunate," she said softly. "My dear twin sister… you didn't even let me meet my little niece."

She tilted her head slightly.

"Am I really such a terrible aunt?"

Chorten looked at her with hatred burning in her eyes.

Rinchin leaned closer and whispered into her ear.

"But don't worry…"

"I will find your child."

Her voice dropped to a cold whisper.

"And when I do… kill him. Or her."

Then Rinchin straightened up and laughed.

Her dark laughter echoed throughout the vampire hall.

Rinchin raised her voice so everyone in the hall could hear.

"What punishment should we give her for killing our king?"

For a moment, the hall fell silent.

Then someone from the angry crowd shouted,

"Burn her!"

Another voice followed.

"Burn her alive!"

Soon the entire hall was filled with furious voices.

"Yes! Burn her alive!"

"Burn her!"

The vampires roared with anger.

Princess Rinchin smiled slowly.

"Yes," she said calmly. "She will be burned alive in front of everyone."

She paused before continuing.

"But tomorrow."

Her eyes turned cold.

"Until then… throw her into the dungeon."

"Yes, my lady," the soldiers replied.

They dragged Queen Chorten away and locked her inside the dark prison.

The dungeon was cold and silent.

Through a small window high in the wall, Chorten could see the moon in the night sky. The pale moonlight entered the cell, giving the darkness a faint glow.

Chorten slowly sat on the cold floor.

Tears rolled down her face.

She thought about her sons… and about King Lobsang.

Where was he?

Was he dead?

Her heart tightened with fear.

"Please… let my children be safe," she whispered softly.

"Let them be far away from this kingdom."

The next morning, Chorten heard footsteps approaching the prison.

The heavy door opened.

Standing there was Princess Rinchin.

"Hello, my lovely and kind sister," Rinchin said with a smile. "I have a surprise for you."

She clapped her hands.

Another person walked into the dungeon.

Chorten's eyes widened.

"Lobsang!"

She ran toward him and hugged him tightly.

"I was so worried about you… you're safe!"

But suddenly—

Lobsang grabbed her by the hair and pulled her away.

"Stay away from me, woman," he said coldly.

He twisted Chorten's arm behind her back.

Chorten froze in shock.

Slowly she turned her head and looked at Rinchin.

"What have you done to him?" she asked angrily.

Rinchin laughed softly.

"Nothing much," she said casually. "I simply turned him into my puppet."

She walked closer and rested her hand on Lobsang's shoulder.

"He will do anything I tell him to do."

Her smile grew darker.

"And with his help… I will become the Queen of the Wolf Kingdom."

She looked at Lobsang and said sweetly,

"Isn't that right, darling?"

Lobsang nodded without hesitation.

"Yes, my love," he replied. "You will be my queen… and I will be your king."

Chorten's anger exploded.

She tried to attack Rinchin.

But Lobsang immediately stopped her and forced her down onto her knees.

"How dare you try to hurt my princess?" he said angrily.

Rinchin stood there, watching the scene with amusement.

Chorten looked desperately into Lobsang's eyes.

"Lobsang… it's me," she said, her voice trembling.

"Your wife."

"Please… come back to your senses."

Tears ran down her face.

"Please…"

But Lobsang said nothing.

His eyes were empty.

It was as if he had become a completely different person.

Rinchin looked at Lobsang and waved her hand slightly.

"You may leave. I want to have a private conversation with my sister."

"Yes, my lady," Lobsang replied.

Without another word, he turned and left the dungeon.

The heavy door closed behind him.

Queen Chorten collapsed onto her knees, crying quietly.

Rinchin watched her for a moment and sighed dramatically.

"So sad," she said with a mocking tone. "I feel so bad for you, sister."

Chorten lifted her tear-filled eyes.

"Why are you doing this?" she asked. "What have you done to Lobsang?"

Rinchin slowly walked around her like a predator circling its prey.

"Nothing," she said calmly. "I only placed a little love spell on him."

She stopped in front of Chorten and smiled.

"Now he belongs to me."

Chorten clenched her fists in anger.

Rinchin leaned closer and spoke softly.

"Today, I want you to confess in front of everyone that you killed our father."

Her eyes darkened.

"Because unfortunately… there are still a few idiots in the kingdom who believe you are innocent."

Rinchin straightened and crossed her arms.

"So tell me, dear sister…"

"Will you confess… or shall I make things far more painful for you?"

"But… I didn't kill our father," Chorten said, her voice shaking.

Rinchin looked at her and smiled slowly.

"I know," she replied calmly.

Chorten stared at her in confusion.

"Because," Rinchin continued, her voice lowering, "I was the one who killed him."

"What?!" Chorten gasped in shock.

"Yes… you heard me correctly."

Rinchin began walking slowly around the prison cell.

"I killed our father because he discovered the secret I had been hiding from all of you."

She stopped and looked directly into Chorten's eyes.

"I drink human blood."

Her smile grew darker.

"And it has given me far more power than any vampire in this kingdom."

Chorten felt her heart pound with anger and disbelief.

"Father didn't approve of it," Rinchin continued. "So he decided that your unborn child would become the future king of the vampire kingdom."

Her eyes turned cold.

"So… I killed him."

Chorten clenched her fists.

"And don't worry," Rinchin added softly. "I will kill you too."

She leaned closer.

"And your precious children."

"Tenzin… and your newborn baby."

"Don't think I will let them escape."

Hearing those words, Chorten suddenly lunged forward and grabbed Rinchin by the neck.

"Leave my children alone!" she shouted.

But nothing happened.

Rinchin did not even struggle.

Instead, she calmly grabbed Chorten's wrist and slowly forced her hand away from her throat.

Her grip was terrifyingly strong.

"You forgot something, sister," Rinchin said quietly.

She twisted Chorten's arm and pushed it down.

"I am now the most powerful vampire in this kingdom."

With a sudden shove, she threw Chorten to the ground.

"Do as I say," Rinchin continued coldly.

"Otherwise… your children will die."

With that, she turned and walked out of the dungeon.

The door slammed shut behind her.

Chorten lay on the cold stone floor, trembling with anger and fear.

But deep inside her heart, one prayer remained.

Please… let my children stay far away from this kingdom.

Queen Chorten was brought before the entire vampire kingdom for her public punishment.

The great hall was filled with angry vampires. Their voices echoed through the chamber as they demanded justice for their fallen king.

Before the execution began, Chorten was forced to stand in the center of the hall.

Rinchin sat proudly upon the throne.

"Before we carry out your punishment," Rinchin said loudly, "confess your crime in front of everyone."

Chorten slowly lifted her head.

Her eyes moved toward Rinchin.

She remembered the moment in the dungeon, just before Rinchin had left. Chorten had forced her to promise that she would never hunt down her children… that she would leave Tsering and the newborn baby alone.

Rinchin had given her word.

For a long moment, Chorten remained silent.

Then she spoke.

"Yes… it was me."

The crowd gasped.

"I was the one who killed our father."

A cruel smile spread across Rinchin's face.

"You see?" she said loudly to the crowd. "I told you all that she was the one who murdered our king."

She gestured toward Chorten.

"I showed you the evidence, but some of you still doubted me."

Her voice rose.

"Well now you have heard it from her own mouth."

The hall erupted with fury.

"Burn her!"

"Burn her alive!"

"Justice for our king!"

The crowd shouted in anger.

Chorten was dragged toward a large pile of wood in the center of the courtyard.

Her hands were tied, and she was bound tightly to the wooden stake.

The flames were prepared beneath her.

Before the fire was lit, Chorten slowly lifted her eyes.

She looked toward King Lobsang.

He stood beside Rinchin, his face cold and empty under the control of her spell.

Tears filled Chorten's eyes as she looked at him one last time.

The wood beneath Queen Chorten's feet was soaked with oil.

Snow was falling gently from the gray sky, covering the courtyard of the vampire castle in white.

Cold wind moved through the crowd as the vampires gathered to watch the execution.

The angry voices slowly rose again.

"Burn her!"

"Justice for our king!"

A soldier stepped forward with a burning torch.

But Chorten no longer listened to the crowd.

Her eyes were fixed on King Lobsang.

Tears slowly rolled down her face, mixing with the falling snow.

"Lobsang…" she whispered softly.

For a brief moment, the wolf king's eyes flickered.

Something deep inside him seemed to fight against the spell controlling him.

But Rinchin quickly placed her hand on his shoulder.

The small spark disappeared.

His face returned to cold obedience.

Chorten slowly lifted her head and looked up at the snowy sky.

Snowflakes landed softly on her hair and face.

"Please protect my children," she whispered quietly.

"Let them live far away from this darkness."

The executioner lowered the torch.

The flames touched the wood.

Despite the falling snow, the fire quickly spread through the oil-soaked wood.

The flames began to rise.

The crowd watched silently as the fire grew higher.

Chorten did not scream.

She simply closed her eyes.

Her final thoughts were only of Tsering and her newborn child.

Far away from the vampire kingdom…

She prayed they were safe.

Snow continued to fall as the flames rose higher.

After that, Rinchin and Lobsang were married and traveled together to the Wolf Kingdom.

When they arrived, Lobsang's parents were shocked by the sudden marriage. They strongly opposed it, as they did not trust Rinchin and believed something was wrong.

However, they were powerless to stop it.

The man standing before them was still their son, but in truth he had become nothing more than a puppet under Rinchin's control.

Rinchin took full advantage of the situation. Using Lobsang's authority as king, she ordered his own parents to be arrested and thrown into prison.

From that day onward, Rinchin ruled both the Vampire Kingdom and the Wolf Kingdom.

Everyone in both kingdoms was forced to obey her commands.

And those who dared to disobey her…

were punished without mercy.
