To be frank, I was fully expecting Ray to propose right here in the flower garden that I had created.
I noticed that he had put up yellow lamps around the balcony, thus giving the area a warmer feeling, helping the flowers, and also setting up a heater beneath the floor.
Just as I expected, Ray actually understood what I wanted.
I didn't want a grand proposal, with flying jets and a mariachi band. Nor did I want to be proposed to in front of so many people.
I just wanted it to be between the two of us, and in a place we were familiar with, so we could speak what was on our minds without any pressure.
In this case, the flower garden in the penthouse where we had been living together for a while was the perfect place for it.
