Claudia POV
"Yes… I was a General Practitioner before retiring early after having my child," I replied, deliberately mentioning my daughter just in case Godfrey Gatlin was interested in me, because the way he looked at me felt… wrong.
It scared me, because it felt like I was being watched over by an old tiger.
"Married with a child?" Godfrey raised his brow, and then looked at his grandson.
I also gave Ray a side glance, hoping that he'd finally end this ridiculous conversation, but he just… nodded.

I wanted to smack him for not trying to clear things up here. Instead, he kept on pouring mud into this already muddled water, making it difficult for me.
I felt like I had been trapped into coming to face Godfrey Gatlin.
'Oh, I'll make him pay for this.'
That was the first thing that came to my mind seeing his silence and smug face.
