The Chase Begins
The black car slowly followed Ariba from a distance.
Inside the café, Ariba and Ryan were still discussing the name Victor had mentioned.
Ryan whispered, "If that person is really involved… then this case is bigger than we imagined."
Ariba nodded slowly.
Her mind kept returning to that name.
Someone her father had trusted for years.
Someone who had visited their house many times.
Suddenly Ariba noticed something outside the window.
A black car parked across the street.
The same car had been there earlier.
"Ryan…" she said quietly.
"I think we're being followed."
Ryan looked outside carefully.
The moment the driver noticed them looking, the car engine started.
Ryan's expression turned serious.
"They found us."
Ariba quickly stood up.
"Let's go."
They left the café through the back door and hurried into the narrow streets behind the university.
The black car immediately began following them.
Ryan grabbed Ariba's hand.
"Run."
They turned into a crowded market street, hoping to disappear in the crowd.
But the car stopped ahead of them.
Two men stepped out.
Both wearing black jackets.
Both clearly armed.
Ariba whispered, "They're not even hiding it anymore."
Ryan looked around quickly.
There were too many people.
A fight here would be dangerous.
Then suddenly a motorcycle stopped beside them.
The rider lifted his helmet slightly.
"Get on."
Ariba froze for a moment.
Then she recognized the face.
Victor Hale.
Ryan stared in shock.
"You're insane for coming here."
Victor smirked.
"If they catch you two, I'm next."
More men were approaching from behind.
Victor said quickly,
"Get on if you want to live."
Ariba and Ryan exchanged one quick look.
Then they jumped on the motorcycle.
The engine roared.
And the chase through the city began.
