Hayden's eyes sparkled with mischief as he looked down at Owen, his expression softening. "You know, you were really worried about me," he said, his voice low and teasing.
Owen's eyes snapped open, and he glared at Hayden, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "I was not," he muttered, trying to sound nonchalant.
Hayden chuckled, his eyes cr crling at the corners. "Oh, really? So you just happen to be crying and throwing yourself at me like a kojo lleh?" he teased, his voice dripping with amusement.
Owen's face grew hotter, and he pushed at Hayden's chest, trying to create some distance. "Shut up, Hayden," he muttered, his voice muffled.
Hayden laughed, his arms tightening around Owen. "I'm just saying, Owen," he said, his voice low and husky. "You care about me."
Owen's eyes rolled, but he couldn't help the small smile that crept onto his face. "Of course I care about you, you idiot," he said, his voice soft.
Hayden's expression turned serious, his eyes locking onto Owen's. "I care about you too, Owen," he said, his voice low and sincere.
Owen's heart skipped a beat, and he looked away, trying to hide his blush
The air was thick with tension as Hayden leaned in, his warm breath whispering against Owen's skin. Owen's heart skipped a beat, and he felt a flutter in his chest. Instead of pulling away, he closed his eyes, his lips parting slightly in anticipation.
The room seemed to melt away, leaving only the two of them, suspended in a moment of uncertainty and longing. Hayden's lips brushed against Owen's, sending shivers down his spine. It was a gentle, tender kiss, but it spoke volumes about the emotions simmering beneath the surface.
Owen's hands instinctively rose to Hayden's chest, his fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt as he pulled him closer. The kiss deepened, and Owen felt himself getting lost in the sensation, his heart pounding in his chest.
Just as it seemed like the world would melt away, Hayden pulled back, his eyes locked onto Owen's. "Owen," he whispered, his voice husky with emotion.
Owen's eyes fluttered open, his chest heaving with ragged breaths. "Hayden," he whispered back, his voice barely audible
The tension between them was palpable as Hayden's lips brushed against Owen's, sending shivers down his spine. Owen's heart was racing, and he felt like he was melting into the kiss.
Just as they were getting lost in the moment, a loud crash echoed from outside, followed by the sound of gunfire.
Hayden's eyes snapped open, and he pulled back, his expression intense. "Stay here," he whispered, his voice low and urgent.
Owen nodded, his eyes wide with fear. "Be careful," he whispered back.
Hayden nodded, his eyes locked onto Owen's, before he turned and rushed out of the room, his gun drawn.
Owen watched him go, his heart pounding in his chest. What was happening now?
Hayden walked out, forgetting his phone where he was sitting. Owen realized that he didn't ask Blake if he's okay, so he took out his phone and messaged the account he thought was Blake's Instagram account (H.blake), saying "Hey, are you okay?"
Unexpectedly, Hayden's phone buzzed with a notification. Owen's eyes widened seeing his message appeared on Hayden's phone, his mind filling with questions and he understands that all this time he thought he was speaking to Blake turned out it was Hayden's account. His face filled with anger.
Hayden walked in, "Hey, I'm back..." He froze at the door, knowing he's in trouble.
Owen stood up slowly, and threw his phone at him, asking "What is the meaning of this, Hayden..?" His voice filled with anger.
Hayden caught the phone, saying "Owen, it's not what you think, let me explain..." He tried to reach out, but Owen stepped back
Owen shook his head, his voice trembling with anger. "I don't want to hear it," he spat. "All this time, you're the one talking to me, making me think it was Blake."
Hayden sighed, his eyes pleading. "Owen, let me explain..."
But Owen pulled away, his eyes blazing with hurt. "I thought you meant everything you said," he whispered. "I thought you were serious about us, but turns out you're just playing with me."
Hayden's eyes widened, his face filled with shock. "Owen, I swear, everything was real. Us...I love you, Owen."
Owen was about to walk out, but Hayden hugged him from behind, his arms wrapping around his waist. "I'm sorry," he whispered, his voice husky with emotion. "I really didn't mean to. That's my account, I'm not using Blake's name. You sent a message, I wanted to tell you you messaged the wrong person, but I couldn't because from your message, you sounded excited to chat with Blake, so I couldn't tell you the truth."
Owen's body tensed, his eyes closing as he tried to process his emotions. Hayden's words were sinking in, but he was still hurt, still angry
Owen sighed and asked, "Why does your name have Blake in it?"
Hayden buried his face on Owen's shoulder and said, "Because my full name is Hayden Ray Blake, and we're brothers...brother, same parents. Blake is my elder brother."
Owen froze.
Hayden hugged him tightly. "I'm sorry, okay? I wasn't using Blake's name because I wanted to be Blake and play you, it's my surname. I didn't mean for this to happen."
Owen's body relaxed slightly, his mind reeling with the revelation. "You're brothers?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Hayden nodded, his face still buried in Owen's shoulder. "Yeah, we've always been close. But I didn't want to tell you it was me, not at first. I wanted to get to know you, without you knowing it was me."
Owen pulled back, his eyes searching Hayden's face.
Hayden's eyes locked onto Owen's, his expression intense. "I'm sorry "
Owen's eyes softened, his anger dissipating. "You should've just told me," he said, his voice low.
Hayden nodded, his eyes dropping in shame. "I know, I'm sorry. I messed up."
Owen sighed, his shoulders sagging. "Yeah, you did."
The room was quiet for a moment, the only sound the soft hum of the medical equipment in the background.
"But...but you love me?" Owen asked, his voice hesitant.
Hayden's eyes snapped up, his face filled with emotion. "I do, Owen. I love you, so much."
Owen's eyes searched Hayden's face, looking for any sign of insincerity. But all he saw was love, and regret.
Slowly, he nodded, his eyes never leaving Hayden's. "Okay, I'll forgive you. But don't do it again."
Hayden's face broke into a relieved smile, and he pulled Owen into a tight hug. "I won't, I promise," he whispered, his voice husky with emotion
