After that, Dan Feng and Roxy wandered aimlessly along the streets like this.
The gossiping voices that had previously filled the streets and alleys gradually faded away completely.
The shops lining both sides of the street, perhaps because they had some contact with Roxy during this period, did not show the same resistance toward her as the other passersby.
This made their shopping trip unusually relaxed and enjoyable.
As they walked, Dan Feng and Roxy passed by a dessert shop.
The fragrance wafting from this shop was simply an irresistible temptation from heaven—just smelling it could make anyone feel an overwhelming sense of blissful sweetness.
Dan Feng didn't have much interest in sweets, but Roxy was completely captivated by the aroma.
Her feet seemed nailed to the ground, unable to take another step forward.
Dan Feng looked at Roxy's motionless figure in puzzlement.
Suddenly, a scene from their second meeting flashed through his mind.
Back then, Roxy had mentioned that she had absolutely no resistance to anything sweet and silky.
"Do you want to eat some? I can treat you." Dan Feng said with a smile to Roxy, who was staring blankly at the exquisite desserts inside the shop.
Roxy snapped out of her daze as if waking from a dream upon hearing Dan Feng's words.
She coughed awkwardly a couple of times and quickly said, "Ahem, no need, I can buy it myself."
Even though she said that, her gaze never once left those beautiful desserts.
In the end, under Dan Feng's insistence, the two of them still walked into the dessert shop together.
"You said it's your treat, right? Then I won't hold back!" Roxy said to Dan Feng, then casually ordered several desserts that looked incredibly delicious.
Not long after, Roxy finally got to enjoy her desserts as wished.
"Ah, so delicious, so happy." Roxy propped her face up with her left hand while stuffing the fork into her mouth with her right, showing an expression of pure bliss.
Dan Feng looked at the portion of dessert that Roxy had pushed toward him, then picked up his fork, scooped a small bit, and put it in his mouth.
"Hm, very sweet." Dan Feng said quietly, then silently finished the entire dessert.
Occasionally eating one was still fine, but if he had to eat like Roxy was right now, he might get sick of it and die inside the dessert shop.
After finishing the dessert, Dan Feng rested his cheek on his hand and stared blankly out the window at the street.
Meanwhile, Roxy was perfectly immersed in the gentle paradise that the desserts had brought her.
Finally, Roxy finished the last piece of dessert and looked toward Dan Feng.
Noticing that Dan Feng was still spacing out, Roxy gently called out to him.
"Dan Feng, Dan Feng?" Roxy's soft voice reached Dan Feng's ears, and he finally came back to his senses.
"Hm? You're done?" Dan Feng glanced at the pile of empty plates in front of Roxy, then silently stood up to go pay the bill.
As they left the dessert shop, Roxy bashfully thanked Dan Feng. "Thank you for treating me to dessert. It was really, really delicious!"
"No problem." Dan Feng didn't mind the cost at all—his current savings were plentiful, and this amount was nothing to him.
"Dan Feng, do you have any plans for the future?" Roxy tilted her head slightly upward to look at Dan Feng's face and asked softly.
At this moment, an immature thought was quietly budding in the depths of Roxy's water-blue eyes.
Dan Feng thought for a moment before answering, "Me? Hm… I'll probably keep being an adventurer for now." His voice carried a hint of uncertainty. After all, he didn't yet have a clear direction for the future—his primary goal was still the progress bar.
Although his curiosity about other places hadn't faded, traveling alone always felt like something was missing.
A spark lit up in Roxy's eyes. She raised her index finger as if she had suddenly come up with a great idea and suggested, "Then, how about traveling to the Central Continent with me later? My teacher said there are lots of wonderful places there." Her words were filled with anticipation, and her water-blue eyes sparkled with excitement.
Dan Feng's mind quickly flashed through some of the stories he knew about the Central Continent.
After thinking it over, he felt that going there together with Roxy wouldn't be a bad choice at all.
So he nodded and smiled. "To the Central Continent? Yeah, I think that sounds good."
Roxy's face instantly bloomed into a joyful smile. She had originally been a little worried that Dan Feng might refuse—after all, this was just a spontaneous idea of hers.
But upon hearing Dan Feng's answer, the unease in her heart was instantly replaced by pure delight.
"Really?! That's great! Traveling alone would probably be really boring." Roxy's voice overflowed with irrepressible excitement, her smile brighter than sunlight and impossible not to feel uplifted by.
If there had been any lolicon present, they would definitely have been utterly melted by Roxy's adorable expression right on the spot.
Afterward, Dan Feng and Roxy headed to the bookstore—they hadn't forgotten that the main purpose of coming out today was to buy books.
Dan Feng browsed the shelves for books that interested him, while Roxy looked for works written by Bloody Kant.
In the end, both found what they wanted to buy. Roxy only purchased one book, while Dan Feng bought quite a few more.
They finished their shopping and returned to the tavern.
When Mayibeia saw that Dan Feng and Roxy had bought so many books again, she was slightly surprised. "You two really love reading, huh? Buying so many again all at once."
"Mayibeia, you wouldn't understand. As the saying goes, knowledge is power." Roxy repeated what Dan Feng had said earlier, then ran upstairs.
Dan Feng also went upstairs with the newly bought books, then came back down carrying the ones he had purchased last time.
He was going to sell off the books he had already finished reading to recover a bit of money.
When Dan Feng returned, Galdaruf and Mayibeia were both on the first floor.
Mayibeia waved at Dan Feng as soon as she saw him. "Hey! Dan Feng! Come here quick!"
Dan Feng thought something might be up when he saw Mayibeia calling him, so he walked over.
"What's the matter?"
"How about the four of us drink a little tonight?" Mayibeia suggested to Dan Feng.
"The three of us plus Roxy?"
"Yeah."
"I'm fine with it, but you'll have to ask Roxy." Dan Feng sat down casually and poured himself a glass of water.
"I'll go ask her." Mayibeia got up from her seat and hurriedly ran upstairs.
"What's going on today? She's even asking us to drink." Dan Feng took a sip of water, set the glass down, and looked at Galdaruf.
"I don't know either. It was Mayibeia's idea." Galdaruf said quietly, then stared blankly at his own cup. Both of them fell silent—after all, they both preferred quiet.
