Jogo wasted no time after finishing his talk with Kenjaku, going up the station stairs into other areas of the subway, his ember insects following him as he ignored all humans in his path until he came upon the outside of a Domain expansion.
To the untrained eye, there was no way to know to whom the domain belonged, though Jogo sensed Dagon's presence in the domain.
It was his. And, even worse, there was another domain clashing against Dagon for control. That meant Dagon was likely in battle.
Then, all of a sudden, a hole in the domain opened, and a human man suddenly came running at insane speeds, catching Jogo off guard, jumping inside before the hole closed once again.
How did I not sense him?! Could it be he simply has no cursed energy? No. Even the weakest of humans have it!
Though time was of the essence, Jogo began listing off his options in order to enter the domain.
Of course, I could use Maximum Meteor to break the domain, though it requires a lot of space and cursed energy to create, which I don't have, and it could risk harming Dagon.
As for regular fire attacks, these could break through, however it would take time. Time I don't have. And I'm not sure my ember insects can break through either. I'll have to rely on using Domain Projection.
Jogo then took a deep breath and entered into an attacking stance, activating his domain amplification and trying to focus. Then he finally screamed out:
"DAGON! I'M HERE TO SAVE YOU! DOMAIN PROJECTION: GREEN DISASTER FLAMES!"
As Jogo said that, a large green gust of fire erupted from his palms, burning a hole into the domain while not shattering it.
He then hopped inside before it closed on him. The first thing he saw as he entered was that near the domain's forest, Dagon was being attacked by that same man from earlier.
Due to his domain being in a clash, the sure-hit effect was turned off, and he was constantly throwing fish shikigami at the man while trying to keep his distance, although whoever that was used some sort of weapon to destroy them while chasing him.
A little bit behind them was a shirtless old man with an arm missing. He also held impressive speed and was likely helping against Dagon.
Meanwhile, on the water at the domain's edge, there was a black-haired boy, likely around Yuji Itadori's age, clearly in command of the domain clashing against Dagon's, being guarded by a Blonde-haired man and a green-haired girl.
Jogo had to assess who to attack first. The kid with the domain and his two protectors could likely be beaten very quickly, though there was no guarantee Dagon would survive long enough for Jogo to then intervene. Jogo learned his lesson. He must protect his friends. So none of them died as Hanami had.
He made his choice.
Dagon, in a bid to get out of his opponent's reach, jumped up. When he got there, however, the old man was on the air too, ready to kick him down.
Though as he was about to, he felt the cold touch of a hand on his back.
Then, he felt the warmth of what happens to someone who harms one of Jogo's friends.
His whole body was set on fire as he fell to the sand of Dagon's domain. Dagon, no longer in his cursed womb form and now being a fully realized curse, screamed out.
"Jogo! You came!" As he did, the man attacking him turned his head, seeing Jogo fully. The blonde-haired man and green-haired girl began running toward them, seeking to attack Jogo and Dagon. Jogo then turned to his friend to speak.
"You've grown, Dagon! Go on and take care of these two for me. I'll deal with your attacker."
Dagon nodded, though as he turned back, he spoke to Jogo.
"He's strong! He may have no cursed energy, but he caught me by surprise and nearly exorcised me!"
Jogo then gave him a nod and turned to Dagon's attacker.
"What's your name, curse?"
"Jogo. Yours, Human?"
"Toji Fushiguro. I've sensed you are very powerful, so prepare to die!"
Toji then charged at Jogo wildly, his two blades swinging in the curses' direction.
"Ember insects! Flight!"
Jogo's shikigami followed his instructions, using their legs to grab him and pull him into the air. When he was up there, he formed two small "volcanoes" on either side of his opponent, using them to spew fire at him.
Seeing no one emerge from the fire, he declared victory.
"It appears you weren't on my level, Toji Fushiguro. Stand proud, you are stro-"
As Jogo said this, Toji suddenly appeared behind him and hit him with his two makeshift weapons, sending Jogo flying off to the side and into the middle of the Domain's forest before hiding amongst the trees.
Jogo then smiled, his black teeth showing fully as he subconsiously lit the nearby surrounding trees on fire.
"Now things have finally gotten interesting!"
Yes! Show me, show me Toji Fushiguro! Show me what limits I must surpass in my journey to reach the heights of Satoru Gojo!
Toji was now circling the trees, staying just far enough from Jogo, like a predator hunting its prey.
I can't sense him due to his lack of cursed energy, so I'm at a clear disadvantage. Its time to level the playing field!
"EMBER INSECTS! EXPLODE THE FOREST!"
As he said that, his ember insects began buzzing loudly as they quickly made their way over. Toji Fushiguro, noticing his cover would be quite literally blown, decided to go back on the offensive, using Jogo's blind spots to slash at him.
Jogo managed to perfectly dodge, or so he thought. Suddenly, his hands fell off, having been cut. He used cursed energy to regenerate his hands before realizing his opponent had once again escaped into the woods.
His ember insects were now quickly approaching, so Jogo ran out of the domain's forested area and back into the sand, near where Dagon was fighting, turning to the woods and awaiting for Toji to hop out of the woods right as the dozen or so ember insects made contact, causing an explosion so strong it shook the whole domain.
Toji once again attempted to overwhelm Jogo with his speed, while Jogo dodged and retaliated with his very own disaster flames, though neither of them could reach each other.
I believe I understand how to defeat Toji Fushiguro! I can't sense where he'll attack, so all I've got to do is predict his next move, and put my flames there before he attacks me, but after he can reconsider!
Jogo kept on weaving Toji's attacks while moving back, all the while missing his disaster flames on purpose to direct Toji to attack in places where he was easier to predict and, as such, to dodge.
"You're a damn fast curse, aren't you?"
Said Toji, his face now in a full smile, completely enticed by the battle occurring.
"You're the first opponent in my life that could match my speed, aside from Satoru Gojo!"
"You fought Satoru Gojo, hm? That makes two of us!"
Jogo then stopped dodging, instead opting for a punch, which took his opponent completely off guard, and Toji lost his focus for a moment.
He did manage to duck under the punch, however, when he looked back up to Jogo, his senses picked up something new. Instead of 2 cursed spirits, he sensed 50.
Toji then looked around him, finding a large swarm of ember insects all around him. Not accounting for Dagon and Jogo, there were 48 of them.
"How did you-my senses! How did they not pick up the insects?!"
Jogo was then lifted by 6 of these ember insects, floating in the air in front of his opponent
"It's simple. Your senses are much better than those of the average human, however that's all they are. Human.
When you focus your eyes too much on a single thing it becomes all you can see. When you focus your ears on a single sound, it becomes all you can hear.
You were too focused on our fight to realize what happened outside of it.
And every time you ducked, whether to attack my lower body or to dodge a fire blast, you lost all sight of what went on in my upper body.
And then, I made a new ember insect.
You ducked a total of 48 times.
And as for why you didn't hear me commanding my ember insects? I don't have to do that, I just pretended I had to. I did it to lure you into a false sense of security."
"...Shit."
Jogo was never the type to plan out far ahead, nor the type to have great tactics. Though fighting Satoru Gojo, seeing him dance around Jogo and his allies and trick them, leading to Hanami's death, made Jogo realize the importance of such things.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield, things had gone just about as well. Dagon managed to disarm his two challengers, and the boy doing the domain clash was growing noticeably tired. Dagon, seeing his opening, charged at him at the same time that Jogo was about to finish off Toji.
However, the black-haired kid had other plans. He suddenly gave up on clashing with his domain. Instead, he raised his fists.
"With this treasure, I summon Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General MAHORAGA!"
