Lucian's POV
This was so incredibly fucked. I couldn't believe I had let this psycho woman convince me to come here. Now she was parading me around, telling every single person who would listen that we were engaged when we absolutely weren't. Fuck this.
My gaze snapped back to Aiden. That stupid, mocking smirk was plastered all over his face.
"Well, congratulations," Aiden said, his voice dripping with false sincerity. "I'm genuinely happy for the both of you. You deserve to be with someone exactly like her." He leaned in a fraction, his eyes narrowing. "But tell me... since you have a new woman on your arm, where exactly is my fated mate? Where is my child?"
"Don't you even think about them," I growled, the threat in my voice causing his smirk to instantly fade. I stepped closer, my aura flaring. "You don't know a damn thing, Aiden, so do yourself a favor and stay out of it. Besides, Alina is not with me anymore. And I will never tell you where she went."
