"Who is this headless man? Is it a creature of some sort?" Ronx asked, slightly confused and slightly worried because of the name.
"You could say that, but specifically speaking, it is a human that transformed into a creature" Alex said while placing his hand on his chin, trying to remember the details. "If I remember correctly, I think it is a high-tier monster."
"High-tier?" Ronx asked, slightly tilting his head.
"Monsters are put into four categories. Low-tier, mid-tier, high-tier and God-tier" Alex said, who was getting slightly annoying at the countless questions. "The ghoul that you fought was one of the weakest monsters in the low-tier category."
"And-" Ronx said before getting interrupted by Alex.
"How about we first take care of the headless man? You can ask me questions later on" Alex said with a slightly angry tone.
"Fine, Fine, my bad for being curious" Ronx said sarcastically while putting both of his hands up.
With that, Alex teleported himself and Ronx to a random street that had carriages and a lot of people. "My teleportation ability can only teleport me so far, we will take a carriage there" Alex explained.
Ronx agreed and with that, they both sat in a random carriage and started to discuss the details of the mission.
"The headless man lives in a haunted mansion and is the only high-tier monster in this area" Alex explained to Ronx. "You attack it with your powers and I'll finish it off once I find a good time."
"Worst case scenario, you die" Alex said with a smirk.
Ronx immediately stood up but before he could say or do anything, Alex calmed him down.
"Chill man, just joking"
"Hmph, If things get too messy in there, I am running away" Ronx said in a serious tone.
Alex's smile disappeared, "the headless man doesn't let anyone escape. Either it dies or you die, nothing in between."
"Why is my first mission so dangerous?" Ronx asked him suspiciously as if suspecting something.
"That's what I am wondering! Sheesh and why do I have to accompany you? Does Mr. Crow want me to die too?" Alex said in a dramatic way.
"You don't have to accompany me. I can do it alone, in fact, I will anything that will make me stronger" Ronx said with a serious and dedicated face.'
"Oh? And why do you have to get stronger?" Alex said while matching his seriousness.
"So I can protect my uncle and keep him safe" Ronx replied within a second with no hesitation.
"Your uncle doesn't need protection because he is-" before Alex could finish his sentence, the carriage stopped, meaning that they had arrived at their destination.
Alex and Ronx then stepped out of the vehicle and and in front of them was the haunted mansion.
The mansion itself was quite unique and strange compared to the other mansions in the area, it had a darker tone and a ominous vibe to it.
"Be careful, one single High-tier monster is as strong as a thousand low-tier monsters" Alex says in a serious tone, implying that he was not joking or exaggerating.
Both of them approached the mansion, observing it carefully. Once they had reached the door, it was unsurprisingly, locked. So Alex took out his sword and with a single slash, he split the door in half diagonally, making it easy to enter.
As soon as they entered, they noticed that the entire mansion was covered in blood. Their feet were completely covered by the blood and they could see blood dripping from the ceiling. Furthermore, the mansion was completely dark except for the light coming from the windows.
Ronx was disgusted and terrified at the sight of this but Alex couldn't hold his excitement.
"This is perfect for you!" Alex said with a maniac smile.
"What? How?" Ronx asked, clearly confused.
"Don't you get it? This place is covered in blood, the walls, everything! And you have blood manipulation! You can use this to your advantage" Alex said excitedly while doing multiple hand gestures.
Before they could continue their conversation further, a strange figure appeared right in front of them.
It was an eight foot tall monster without a head, it was skinny and its limbs were at least twice as long than his size. The monster had pale skin and had thousands of veins that looked like they were about to explode any minute.
And as if things couldn't get worse, one of it's arm was shaped like a scythe's blade. The monster was no other than the headless man himself.
Alex let out a nervous laugh, "Remember to use your surroundings to your advantage or else we will lose."
"Got it" Ronx replied even though his heart was beating abnormally fast.
With that, Ronx imagined a spear made out of blood coming out of the blood-covered ground and stabbing the headless man's leg, which was what exactly happened.
A spear made out of blood appeared out of the blood-covered ground and stabbed the creature several inches deep in one of it's leg, causing it to scream loudly.
Alex then jumped and slashed the creature's chest and stomach, causing massive bleeding. However, before Alex could get away, the creature tried to attack him with it's scythe shaped arm but luckily, Alex blocked it at the very last second with his sword, causing him to get launched into one of the walls.
Alex coughed up blood at the impact and to Ronx's surprise, the injured leg of the creature regenerated in a few seconds.
"Interesting. If It can regenerate then it must have a weak spot, I must find it" Alex whispered to himself while trying to stand up.
Alex then pointed his sword at the creature and used his metal manipulation powers to extend his sword, making the sword extremely long. Then he used the extended sword to stab the creature's heart but nothing happened, instead, the creature split the sword into half.
"Tch. Not the heart then" Alex mumbled to himself.
