After Ronx had been teleported to his room, he had tried to go to sleep but he couldn't, no matter how hard he tried.
After barely getting a few hours of sleep, Ronx did his normal morning routine and ate breakfast. Once he did, he heard a knock.
After opening the door, It was no other than Alex.
Ronx wasn't too happy to see him but he knew he would come.
"Is this about the mission?" Ronx asked, clearly tired.
"Yes, we need to prepare for the mission" Alex said with his usual smirk, "To prepare, how about I show you how to awaken your power?"
Ronx let out a small sigh and closed the door behind him, grabbing Alex's hand.
"Fine, just get it over with"
With that, Alex and Ronx both teleported to the same underground facility. Alex then lead him to a strange room that took a while to get to.
"This is where new members awaken their powers" Alex explained and opened the door, revealing a giant room filled with strange machines and countless wires. In the middle of the room was a small bed that was filled with blood stains.
In the room was also someone who was wearing surgeon clothes and was cleaning a recently used knife covered in blood.
Ronx slightly stepped back at the entire sight, "Wait a second...are you going to do surgery on me? What the hell is all of this?"
Alex chuckled, "No, we are only going to awaken your power, nothing else."
Ronx hesitated but laid down on the bed and as soon as he did, the doctor tied him up with ropes and injected him with a special pain relief injection.
Then the doctor took a knife and cut open Ronx's chest, revealing his ribcage. Eventually, after a little while, the doctor had completely opened up Ronx's chest, revealing his heart. Due to the injection, Ronx didn't feel any pain even though, he was perfectly awake.
The doctor then injected the heart with a black liquid that spread throughout all of his body, causing him to get numb and nauseous. The black liquid then disappeared after a few minutes and one of the machines' screen revealed a few random numbers and letters.
"It appears that he has the power to manipulate blood and generate it out of thin air" the doctor said to Alex, who was watching the entire procedure take place.
Alex looked slightly impressed, placing his hand on his chin. "Quite a powerful ability if trained well. Mr. Crow wasn't lying when he said he sensed potential in this man."
"Anyway, I shall bring Elvia Cornevis to heal him" Alex said, leaving the room.
Ronx was still awake and didn't feel any pain at all. In fact, he felt quite fresh and energetic. Though, he was slightly disgusted at the feeling of his chest being ripped open.
Eventually after a long while of waiting, Alex arrived with a young woman with him.
The woman had long white hair and black eyes, she was wearing a black attire and had a sly smile. It was no other than Elvia Cornevis, the most powerful woman in the entire organization.
She extended her hand towards Ronx and closed her hand, causing Ronx's body to close by itself, returning the body to it's original shape.
Ronx was stunned and in disbelief for a short period of time. Meanwhile, the doctor and Alex didn't have any reaction whatsoever.
Elvia then licked Ronx's forehead for some reason and left the room.
"Anyway, follow me, Its time to test out your powers" Alex said as if nothing had ever happened.
Ronx was disgusted and confused but at this point, nothing could surprise him.
Alex and Ronx then teleported to a graveyard, much bigger then the other graveyard.
"Why are we-" Before Ronx could even finish his sentence, a ghoul lunged at him.
Ronx just barely dodged, "WHAT IS THAT?!"
"A ghoul, it is a low-tier undead monster that is mostly in graveyards. Perfect monster to test out powers on" Alex said casually as if talking about the weather.
The ghoul jumped straight at Ronx, who barely stepped out of the way.
But the ghoul didn't have any intention to stop as it started to crawl on the ground towards Ronx, who tried kicking it but instead got his leg grabbed by the monster.
The monster then tore apart a piece of Ronx's leg, causing him to scream in pain.
Alex's eyes widened in excitement, "good! Now imagine your blood piercing the monster!"
Ronx was slightly confused but did as he was told and suddenly, the blood that was spilling out from Ronx's leg suddenly gathered into one place and shot outward in a straight line, piercing the ghoul.
The ghoul screamed in pain and before it could attack Ronx again, Ronx pulled out his pistol and shot the ghoul multiple times in the head, causing it to finally die.
"You weren't supposed to use your pistol" Alex said, "Oh, well, at least you used your power."
Ronx was quite happy and proud of himself, now he could finally protect his uncle, which is what he thought at least. "So I just have to imagine right?" Ronx asked with a smile for the first time in a long time.
"Yes but you cannot imagine things that you aren't able to do" Alex replied. "Now that you can use your powers, it is about time to do your first mission, which is defeating the headless man."
