Jay's Pov
I got into Keifer's car, initially I wanted to take the back seat, but it will mean that I still cared about him, about us, I did not want him to think that, So I settled in the front seat and wore my seat belt.
I turned myself to face the wind and was looking outside, the heavy rain pouring down,
While soft music playing in the car.
I couldn't help but wonder, How we would have been right now, if it wasn't for the one incident, the one mistake that he made. Would have been happy?
And I couldn't help but turn to his side to see him, he was carefully driving because of the rain it was difficult and of course,
I have great timing, Just as soon as I turned to see him,
"Minamahal" started playing and he too turned towards me, because it was our song,
The song that we sang together for the first time and it became ours. The song that I haven't listen to in years because of him.
My eyes started glistening and so was his and all our happy memories together flashbacked in my eyes and he looked at me and So did I.
Then I remembered the phone call and quickly forced myself turned towards the window because tears started pouring in my eyes. I kept wiping my eyes because it wouldn't stop, I felt like his hands move towards me but he did not touch me and removed his hands from there.
The car ride was silent, except for the music playing, and the car stopped and I noticed we reached my apartment, I removed my seat belt,
Jay: "Thank you" I said silently and he nodded
I unlocked my door, when he called me,
Keifer: "One minute, Here take this" he said handing me the umbrella.
Jay: "It's fine, I am just going inside"
Keifer: "Please have it, You have to walk to the entrance" I took it from him, because I has a feeling he wasn't going to give up.
Jay: "Thanks" I said taking it from him
I opened the car and went outside, It was still raining heavily, I went inside towards he entrance and I don't know why I did, but I turned back to look, only to realise that he was struggling to drive because of the raising water levels, I sighed and went towards the car.
I went and knocked on the window, he was little startled by the sound, He quickly opened window,
Keifer: "Jay, what are you doing here?"
Jay: " Come to my apartment"
Keifer: "Ahh?"
Jay: "It's raining heavily the roads will be blocked, You will not be able to go"
Keifer: "It's okay I will manage, Don't worry"
Jay: "Can please stop arguing and come fast because it raining and I am getting wet, You cannot drive in the rain, and you came to drop me and you stranded here, so come in"
He immediately stopped the car and came out and I moved and held the umbrella towards him, and he got it from and held it over us, suddenly I realised our closeness, our shoulders brushing over each other. I was feeling like the silly girl again, but I did not show it.
