Training Gear
The Sun rose, casting a warm, golden light across the city, awakening the life of Central
Aki stirred from a deep sleep, the sound of the alarm a constant blare he couldn't ignore
Reluctantly, he pulled himself up, tapped the clock to silence it, and stumbled out of the covers
"I hate mornings" he muttered, opening his door, in the hallway, he yawned multiple times, earning the amused looks of maids cleaning nearby
"I've been here for two years and this is the first time I've seen him wake up so early" one of the maids was whispering to another, and they laughed
Aki ignored them and walked into the bathroom, not bothering to even close the door
"Ok" he opened the tap, and started splashing his face, repeatedly, until he was fully awake
He grabbed a towel on the handle, and left the bathroom, droplets of water followed him to back to his room
Back in his room, clothes were piling on the floor
The towel was still on his head, while his hands searched the layers of clothes in his wardrobe
"What should I wear" he asked himself as a few more pieces flew to the floor, "i have no classes today, so there's no need for uniform"
Finally, he found something
A plain white V neck, Simple Grey jeans, and a pair of red sneakers
"This will do"
Downstairs, Chloe and Rose were sitting next to each other in the living room, watching TV
The distinct squeaking of sneakers made them look up, just in time to see Aki entering the dining room
The two exchanged glances, before Chloe called out, "Hey" her voice made him pause, then he walked to where they were sitting
"What's up?"
"Where are you going" she asked, her eyes weren't on his face, but they were scanning the clothes he was wearing
"School"
"Looking like that?" She got up, walked over then ruffled his hair, Rose laughed behind her, before changing the channel on the screen
"I thought you'd say group hangout or something" she said but he just sighed, then shook his head
"Don't tease me"
"You know, I recently heard something" Rose paused the screen, and looked up at him
"The regional sports festival is coming up, right?"
"Yeah? Why?"
"You participating?"
"..."he looked at his sister carefully, studying her face, trying to understand her motives, but ultimately found nothing
"Yes" he finally answered her, before brushing Chloe's hand off
"I see" she wiggled her finger, pointing at his nose, "well, don't disappoint us"
Chloe walked to the kitchen, calling Rose along, before she disappeared, she turned back to Aki
"By the way, a message came in for you" then she was gone
He paused for a few more moments, while his eyes lingered on the kitchen entrance
"Difficult" he muttered
Continuing his original plan, he walked into the living room, picked up a bottle of water, and then straight out the door
The car from the previous day was already waiting for him, Mr Davis stood nearby, chatting with Phineas when Aki called his name
30 minutes later
The car stopped in the parking lot of Central academy, although it was early, students were already walking around, some store already opened, and office drones passed by, heading for to their 9 to 5s
Stepping out of the car,he made his way to the entrance, students began noticing him, their mutters surrounded him like a maze, coating him in critique, Interest and admiration
"Hey, the Vice president is already here" one of the students whispered to a friend, pointing a finger.
"He must be here to help with the festival preparations"
"No way, this is his second year here, and he's never helped out with that"
"Maybe the President requested for his assistance"
"You can never know what that guy's thinking"
Milan was standing by the entrance, taking register of students along with other council members
She looked up from the book, her eyes met Aki's, and she froze, only for a second before recovering
"Here already?"
"Yeah, where's the president?"
"In the training hall" she said, he paused for a moment, wondering why Milan was giving him such a look
"Something wrong?" He finally asked, but Milan shook her head, and waved him off
"Nothing worth noting"
Inside, he followed the long stretch of the hallway to it's end, and down the stairs onto another, longer hallway, at the end of it, metal mixed with whooshing, and voices drifted out the large oak metal doors, ricocheting across the hallway
Standing in front of them, he could feel the determination behind every motion, taking a deep breath, he finally pushed the door open
Across the ocean, on a snowy island, a white haired, pink eyed girl sat by the window of a mansion, looking out into the distance, a maid stepped into the room, pushing a tray, she placed a cup of tea beside a table, along with a plate of pastries
"Young miss, your tea is ready" the maid bowed, and pushed the trolley out, moments later, a man in a suit entered the room
"Miss, you're message has been delivered"
"Have you received a response"
"Not yet, miss"
"I see" she smiled and looked out the once more, her pink eyes glowing, "Understood"
Back at the academy, the moment they doors open, the pungent smell of sweat hit Aki like a train, making him recoil, around, some students had handkerchiefs, obliviously to protect their precious nostrils
"President" he called out, Sam was in the middle a flip when he heard his name
'Smack!'
A ball struck him on the nose, bringing him down on his head
"Aargh" he groaned, before getting up, "what the hell was that?"
Mike also happened to walk in at that moment, seeing Sam fall, he burst into laughter, Clutching his stomach
"It's not funny" Sam growled at him, that's when he spotted Aki nearby
"You're here already?"
"Yeah"
"We have no classes today"
"So?"
"Forget it, let's go to the locker room, I'll brief you"
