The weather was clear as usual, the visible difference was Moonlight was not at the library but rather in a ride with three more persons. Though, right now he's anticipation is of the roof that is still nestled by his lack of social skills.
As all thought, Moonlight thought he would reach his goal in an instant the moment he got on but his own curiosity led him awake up until now.
His brother Cloud brought out a book and began to view its contents. Febia yawned; stretched and leaned on the soft red couch placed for them. While Phoenix just watched everything played out along with Moonlight.
They both sat behind a window doing nothing. Phoenix played with her hands while Moonlight turned from everyone's gaze and placed his eyes to the glass window. The rowl also seemed interested.
They crossed a long distance from the stretched plains of grasslands to where they are currently, a road paved by trees of darkened leaves. The smooth road led to a smooth journey and everyone was sure this ride was the best.
"Oh yeah…"
A voice from the driver's spot proved this.
Moonlight's hands fixed to the glass and he began to view it. From everything beyond, no sign of life was felt. It was just an endless stream of trees. But, Moonlight desired to see beyond it and…
He did.
Beyond this crowd of trees, small speckle of energy lingered near. It moved slowly and gradually. Each of these had different value, different hues, and different glow. Moonlight could tell the differences as some where white, green or even others.
But,
"Weak…"
'Their total, nothing compared to the forest.'
Moonlight sighed and pulled away from the window. He glimpsed at the resting Febia with lowered eyes and hummed. Was this the right choice?
Then, he turned and met eyes with Phoenix.
Instantly, he shifted from her gaze.
"And…!"
The front made a loud neigh and the ride came to a halt.
"What a long journey?" Phoenix muttered. She faced Moonlight and turned away instantly.
"Already done?" Cloud said.
Phoenix tapped the sleeping Febia, uttering her name with each tap. Eventually, she then bent and whispered to Febia's ears and Febia rose up.
"We're here. Wake up." Phoenix said softly, still tapping Febia's head.
"Al…ready…?"
Febia said as the used her eyes to clean her foggy eyes. "I wish it could've lasted longer. Hnnggghhhh…"
"Wake up!"
"Ma'am we have arrived at our destination."
A gentle voice sipped in as the door opened, revealing a young man dressed in a red robe and a hat half the six of his head. He gave a smile and bowed, then shifted back and brought out his left hand covered in a pure white glove.
Phoenix jumped out instantly through the door. Cloud closed his book shut and ran out. Moonlight turned to the struggling Febia and walked out.
"Rab please take her. She's tired." Phoenix said, pointing to Febia.
'Did I truly make the right choice? Is the—
Right in front of Moonlight was a fifty meter tall ship that covered the sun's light. Painted all blue with white stripes running around it. A hand waved from above.
"Rab, you're already here! We've been waiting!"
"Koob!" said Rab while helping Febia walk properly.
"Ok. Say no more!"
Not long after, something was thrown down. As it fell, it left a piece of slab floating at each point in the air. In matter of seconds, all realized it was actually a stair without rails.
"Wow…"
Moonlight uttered in amazement.
"Now that's innovative. But, still…" Cloud said while facing upwards.
Moonlight thought no more of how bored the world was going to be as he climbed the steps faster than ever.
"Calm down. I thought…"
Moonlight made to the main deck of the ship and discovered it was wide at least one and half wider than the entire Adna mansion excluding the surrounding and ornamental additions.
He had his mouth opened wide as this was the first he had seen something as wide as this. Still excluding the Adna compound and the mansion.
His small legs trampled on the hard brown wood beneath him as he took a breath and inhaled the fresh outside air. He spread his arms wide open and rushed to the side, his eyes caught sight of the blue ocean and when he turned around, he glimpsed at something unusual.
'Though the feel is similar, I hope I did not make the wrong choice.'
Furthermore, the others just boarded the ship.
Moonlight wasted no time. He was bored.
In minutes, he cleared the three decks, surveyed each one. He went to the lower floors, viewed them one by one with amused eyes and in seconds, he would be done with one and go after another. And before he knew it, he had visited each hundred rooms, including the special ones.
And then, he knew he was cooked.
Just two minutes after his quick voyage, he found himself lazily lying at the upper deck with his hands on the cool floors.
"I'm bored…"
He stared at the blue sky and watched silently as time passed.
By evening, the sky was turning dark in preparation for night time; the stars despite in uncountable numbers, Moonlight could still count them, somehow.
"I shouldn't have!"
'How did I do all that in that small time?'
He turned over and covered his face. Tears of regret popped up slowly, but his boring nature bounced it back.
The atmosphere was now mostly quiet of not for the raging waters. The ship had already set sail not long after Moonlight stepped in and now, he was stuck lamenting about what he just did.
'If I ever see something new, I would savor the time…'
He promised himself.
Everything was fine.
Until, sounds of footsteps could be heard from below and it seemed to be coming closer.
'Who's that?'
