"How are you still alive" Hardin asked in shock, if he had expected anything in this life, he never expected Lucy to come back from the dead.
He made sure she was dead, he asked Fedrick to look into things and make sure she was dead and gone, but now she comes back alive?
"What's going on here?" Hailey asked in confusion, she was more than shocked to see a lady that looks exactly like her, was she dreaming or what.
"I was gone for a few years and you found my replacement, too bad am the real deal" Lucy said with a smirk and Hardin folded his fists.
"Aren't you supposed to be dead?" Faye said, her voice cracking, she was equally shocked.
"You know her too? How come she looks exactly like me, can someone explain please!!" Hailey yelled in frustration cause it looked like everyone knew this woman apart from her and something was telling her this was the woman Hardin once loved.
If that's true then she would scream her guts out cause that was fuçking insane.
"You want to know what is going on dearie?" Lucy said with a mischievous smirk.
"Leave my house" Hardin found his voice as he glared at Lucy.
"No.. I want her speak" Hailey said, regretting as the words slipped through her lips. She so badly
wanted to hear Hardin's part of the situation but she was scared of getting fed with lies.
"Hailey..." Faye tried to speak but Hailey wasn't listening.
"Who are you? And why do you look like me?" Hailey said to Lucy who frowned.
"I don't look like you, you look like me, you're nothing but a cheap copy which Hardin used to replace me" Lucy said, venom dripping from her lips.
"you missed me that much, I'm touched" she said to Hardin Hailey felt her chest tightened, what the hell is happening here!
"Hardin and I are engaged... Oops... Sorry... We're engaged, not until I died in a tragic accident and he decided to bring you in as a replacement for me, he couldn't live without me" Lucy said.
Hailey felt her throat dry up as she couldn't form words, she turned to Hardin as tears gathered in her eyes.
"That's not true, we were engaged.. yes but not because I couldn't live without her, I married you cause you look like he but not for the reasons she said" Hardin tried to explain but Hailey couldn't hear anything anymore.
"She ruined my life, my entire business, she attacked me where I am vulnerable cause I trusted her and when I wanted to get back at her she died.. at least I thought she died" Hardin spoke again.
"And when you saw the resemblance you married me to have the revenge you couldn't have on her, so technically I am actually just her replacement" Hailey replied, her voice breaking.
Gosh... She came up with different reasons to why Hardin was mean to her at first, why he married her but this never crossed her mind even once!
She never thought he would marry her to take revenge on his ex fiance cause she looked like his ex fiance.
Hailey was broken, shattered, annoyed, disappointed, sad, angry.
She was feeling all these emotions at once and she couldn't breathe, it's like her lungs were being squeezed to shut out air from passing through.
Her tears fell freely and she quickly walked past Lucy leaving the house, she needed space.
"Hailey..." Faye said and went after her, Hardin stood there as he watched her leave, Mark went after Faye too.
Hardin ran his hands through his hair and glared at Lucy who seemed to be enjoying the situation.
She was glad about the chaos she caused, she was back to take what was hers.
"What the fuçk do you want?!" Hardin yelled at Lucy who walked towards the living room couch, her heels making soft noise as it collided with the ground.
She sat on the couch like a queen and smirked at Hardin.
"What do I want? I want things to go back to the way it was" Lucy said and Hardin scoffed.
"You couldn't just stay dead, could you? After you ruin me, you come back and say you want things to go back to the way it was? You're delusional!" Hardin replied.
"I know I was wrong, I was greedy, the other companies offered me a lot and I had to take it, you can't possibly blame me for it" Lucy snapped.
"I gave you everything you wanted, you were a top model, I never understood why you didn't want our relationship to be made public, I always thought you didn't want people to gossip about nepotism but I was wrong, you were planning my downfall all along while gaining from me" Hardin snapped back.
"Is that why you faked your death, cause you know I would come for you right?" Hardin added.
"You're right, that's why I faked my death and you didn't give me everything, I wasn't going to tie myself down with marriage, I'm a model!" Lucy complained.
"Why are you here? The money you got from the people you sold my plans to, ran out?" Hardin asked
"You know you still love me, I may have betrayed you but you love me or else you wouldn't have fallen for someone who is just like me" Lucy said softly walking closer to Hardin.
"Hailey isn't like you, she is different! Way different from you" Hardin replied with a hard glare.
"We look exactly the same, no one can tell the difference between the both of us so what are you talking about?" Lucy snapped.
"I'm really sorry for what happened between the both of us but we can fix things and make them right, let's build our happy family the way we once talked about" Lucy said softly, using her hand to touch Hardin's face.
"You must be crazy to think I would take you back, get the fuck out of my house before I call security" Hardin glared at her and she gritted her teeth in frustration.
"You're mine Hardin Anthony, I won't let some flimsy look alike take you away from me" she said angrily before storming out
