Upon arriving in London, Amanda didn't rush back to the Granger Residence. Instead, as agreed, she took Professor Lupin to the Leaky Cauldron.
She herself, Fenrir Greyback, and the alchemy golems remained high in the sky, letting only Professor Lupin down.
After dropping Professor Lupin to the ground, Amanda took a deep look at him from the air as he walked toward the Leaky Cauldron, then turned and quickly floated toward the Granger Residence.
Pushing open the door of the Leaky Cauldron, Professor Lupin nodded to the owner, Tom, grabbed a handful of floo powder from the mantelpiece, threw it into the fireplace, and stepped in once the flames turned green.
"Hogwarts, Headmaster's Office."
Boom!
With a surge of green flames, Professor Lupin stepped out. "Headmaster Dumbledore, Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas, Remus."
Headmaster Dumbledore nodded at Professor Lupin with a smile. "You look quite a bit thinner. How is the situation over at the Werewolf Settlement?"
Professor Lupin weighed his words. "Well, I think we don't need to consider recruiting them anymore."
"Oh? Why do you say that?"
Headmaster Dumbledore motioned for Professor Lupin to sit opposite him, pushing over a cup of incredibly sweet black tea.
Professor Lupin took a polite sip, set down the teacup, and looked at Headmaster Dumbledore. "Miss Amanda went to the Werewolf Settlement today."
"Miss Amanda?" Headmaster Dumbledore raised a hand to stroke his white beard. "I thought she was supposed to be enjoying her holiday with Miss Granger."
"Evidently, she did a few other things besides enjoying her holiday."
Professor Lupin shrugged. "She went to the Werewolf Settlement, effortlessly subdued all the werewolves, and took Fenrir Greyback away."
"Took Fenrir Greyback away," Headmaster Dumbledore whispered, his blue eyes flickering slightly. "It seems she is conducting research on Lycanthropy Toxin?"
"How did you know?" Professor Lupin froze for a moment, looking at Headmaster Dumbledore in surprise.
"Heh heh," Headmaster Dumbledore gave a kind smile. "Minerva told me that Miss Amanda is trying to break the curse of the Blood Curse Beastman, and the curse of a Blood Curse Beastman shares certain similarities with the Lycanthropy Toxin of werewolves."
"Given Miss Amanda's personality of wanting to do everything to the best of her ability, she will certainly solve both the Blood Curse Beastman's curse and the Lycanthropy Toxin together."
"In that case, she would need someone she can use for her trials."
Headmaster Dumbledore clasped his hands together, looking steadily at Professor Lupin.
"What I don't quite understand, however, is why Miss Amanda brought you back, Remus."
Professor Lupin pursed his lips. "Because she said she didn't want me to persuade the Werewolf Wizards. She plans to remove the Lycanthropy Toxin from the Werewolf Wizards after Voldemort is completely dead."
"But before that, she wants to weed out the portion of Werewolf Wizards who are brutal and support Voldemort."
"So she wants the Werewolf Wizards to choose whether or not to support Voldemort of their own accord," Headmaster Dumbledore finished the sentence.
"Yes," Professor Lupin nodded. "Any Werewolf Wizard who supports Voldemort, or even helps him, will be killed."
"Alas, every time it comes to this," Headmaster Dumbledore said as he took off his glasses and blinked hard, "it always makes me clearly realize that I am old."
"I lack the drive and decisiveness of the youth."
He wanted to save as many people as possible, while Amanda wanted to push everything to a conclusion in one step.
In many situations, certain people indeed aren't worth saving or redeeming, but as one gets older, one always wants to give others more chances.
"The future always belongs to the young," Headmaster Dumbledore smiled and shook his head, putting his glasses back on. "Let Miss Amanda and Miss Granger worry about the matters of the future."
"An old man like me can only stand at the front when they are dealing with Voldemort."
Winking mischievously at Professor Lupin, Headmaster Dumbledore—who had never harbored a death wish thanks to Amanda's appearance—silently calculated in his heart who he should hand the position of Headmaster to once everything was over, if he truly was still alive.
Should it be Minerva, or Severus? Regardless, the British Wizarding World certainly wouldn't need him to watch over it by then; Miss Amanda was in her prime, and Miss Granger was growing up well.
An elderly person like him should go and enjoy his twilight years; he was already over a hundred years old, after all.
"Headmaster Dumbledore, then I...?" Professor Lupin hesitated and pointed at himself.
"Ah, Remus," Headmaster Dumbledore looked as if he had only just realized Professor Lupin was still there, showing a look of sudden realization. "You should have a good rest. I told you when you first arrived that you've grown thin."
"Though perhaps it's because elders always think the younger generation looks a bit thin?"
"I heard Tonks has some feelings for you? You're not young anymore, you could consider matters in that regard."
Headmaster Dumbledore's tone was light, but Professor Lupin's face turned red.
"I—I can't, I shouldn't." Professor Lupin lowered his head and shook it; he knew his own situation best.
How could someone like him fall in love or get married? Moreover, Tonks was younger than him by... so much.
"I cannot waste her life," Professor Lupin said, his voice raspy, carrying a hint of gloom and detachment from the world.
"Remus, please believe me, missing out on the one you love is what truly wastes a lifetime."
Headmaster Dumbledore's eyes trembled slightly, but he immediately hid it perfectly, that light smile still hanging on his face.
"Besides, have you forgotten? Miss Amanda is researching how to break the Lycanthropy Toxin. With her ability, success is inevitable."
"With her personality, she will definitely give you the first antidote once success is confirmed. So, I think you can start dating in advance to prepare."
"Don't make Tonks wait too long; that wouldn't be very gentlemanly."
"Cough, cough." Professor Lupin coughed twice with a red face and stood up. Merlin's love, he felt like his neck was starting to heat up. "Um, Headmaster Dumbledore, I'll be heading back now."
"I—if you need anything, you can just find me."
After saying that, Professor Lupin fled toward the fireplace, threw in a handful of floo powder, and quickly departed.
"It's good to be young." Headmaster Dumbledore sat where he was, closing his eyes with a gentle smile.
It's good to be young; what can warm them is not just the sunlight, but also the embrace of a lover.
The hastily departing Professor Lupin's face was still red when he stepped out of the fireplace.
Headmaster Dumbledore's last two sentences kept replaying in his mind.
Miss Amanda is breaking the Lycanthropy Toxin, she will definitely succeed, he shouldn't make Tonks wait too long... "If Miss Amanda really succeeds." Professor Lupin lightly clenched his fist; he could feel his heart beating violently.
Could he really...? At the same time, Amanda also returned to the Granger Residence under the cover of night. To avoid frightening Mr. and Mrs. Granger and to ensure no accidents occurred, she specifically locked Fenrir Greyback in the dungeon of Ravenclaw Castle before entering the house.
This dungeon was filled with defensive charms and various Alchemy arrays. Forget Fenrir; even if Voldemort were locked inside, he wouldn't be able to step a single foot out.
Therefore, Amanda was incredibly at ease having Fenrir Greyback imprisoned there.
As for those alchemy golems, Amanda sent them all back to Senior Platt. This senior, who was extremely proficient in Alchemy, could tell with just a glance that these alchemy golems hadn't even had a chance to act.
The energy consumption inside them was too low. Taking a deep look at her junior, Platt sighed inwardly.
The entire British Wizarding World really had to thank the fact that this junior of hers was a good person, otherwise, things would be a massive mess.
Opening the door and stepping into the Granger Residence, Hermione rushed up immediately. Before Amanda could even change her shoes, Hermione grabbed both her arms and kept looking her over.
It was fine; her clothes weren't damaged. Mr. and Mrs. Granger, following behind Hermione, silently looked away, feeling it was better not to disturb the two girls right now.
"Did things go smoothly?" After finishing her preliminary inspection, Hermione looked up at Amanda with a sigh of relief.
"Very smoothly. I've already captured Fenrir Greyback."
"Additionally, I brought back Professor Lupin, who was trying to persuade them at the Werewolf Settlement."
"Brought him back?" After all, as the person who knew Amanda best, Hermione only froze for a moment before she understood what Amanda planned to do. "You want those bellicose, cruel individuals in the Werewolf tribe to expose themselves as much as possible?"
"Mhm." Amanda nodded affirmatively, her eyes reflecting a cold calculation. Under this calculation, everything was just a string of numbers in her brain, a possibility.
"Voldemort will be the best catalyst for them, causing all the brutal, unstable members of the Werewolf tribe to expose themselves."
"That way, I can thoroughly clean them out."
This way, these fellows wouldn't be left for Hermione to deal with later.
Hermione only needed to carry out her ideas with bold strides; ensuring Hermione's ideas were implemented and ensuring Hermione didn't have to worry about other aspects was her job.
As a sharp blade, she should excise the rotten flesh and scrape the poison from the bone.
Hermione blinked and reached out to stroke Amanda's lips; she naturally understood Amanda's thoughts.
This girl always protected her so well.
After speaking with Hermione, Amanda turned to look at Mr. and Mrs. Granger and nodded. "Mrs. Granger, Mr. Granger, I'm back."
"Mhm, it's good that you're back safely," Mrs. Granger said with a smile, and Mr. Granger nodded beside her with an equally gentle smile.
Hermione looked back at her parents, cleared her throat, and tugged at Amanda's sleeve. "Amanda, come upstairs to the room with me."
"Hmm?" Amanda tilted her head, her face showing no expression. "Okay."
She followed Hermione upstairs. As soon as they entered the room, Hermione locked the door with a 'click' and took a deep breath to try and calm herself down.
"Amanda, before you left, I told you that when you came back, I would check you—check you inch by inch."
Hermione pursed her lips nervously as she spoke. Amanda should easily be able to analyze these little thoughts of hers; what if she didn't agree? What if she was unwilling?
How should she say it... Hermione's mind was a mess, but Amanda, standing right in front of her, thought differently.
There was no extra thinking or analysis; Amanda directly reached out and pulled off her thick coat.
"This was agreed upon, I should do it. Hermione can check thoroughly."
Along with Amanda's words, more and more clothes piled on the floor. Hermione's breathing grew more rapid, and by the end, she even felt like she was about to have a nosebleed.
Amanda's figure was truly superb, and her skin was lustrous, like a piece of carefully polished jade.
Hermione's gaze swept lingeringly over Amanda's entire body. Sensing her gaze, Amanda belatedly blushed, the heat spreading downward and soon reaching her neck.
However, despite the blush, Amanda still cooperatively raised her arms to her sides to assist Hermione's inspection.
She was quite experienced in this regard; in her original world, including exams, there were simply too many places where students had to undergo inspections.
Therefore, regarding how to accept an inspection, even if you asked a kindergarten student, they could tell you in great detail.
Confirming that Hermione had finished checking the front, Amanda turned around on the spot.
Hermione suddenly raised her hands to cover her nose and mouth. No... it felt like a nosebleed really was about to come out!
"Cough, um, I—I've finished the inspection. Amanda, you... put your clothes back on."
"Oh, okay."
Amanda turned back and nodded, bending over to pick up her clothes and putting them on with brisk movements.
Only after watching Amanda finish dressing did Hermione let out a long breath, her wildly pounding heart slowly returning to a calm state.
Raising her hands to pat both cheeks, Hermione scolded herself in her head.
Hermione Granger, how can you be so easily excited? You're this excited at just this level; what about later? What will you do later?
Effortlessly calming her mood, Hermione stood up and walked forward to wrap her arms around Amanda's waist. "Thank you for your hard work tonight."
Looking expressionlessly at Hermione, who was hugging her waist, Amanda shook her head, the blush on her face not yet faded. "No, I wasn't very tired."
She was telling the complete truth; she had used the Levitation Charm for the entire process tonight.
Using the Levitation Charm to fly was effortless; using it to subdue Fenrir Greyback and the werewolves was effortless; and using it to bring herself, Professor Lupin, and those alchemy golems back was equally effortless.
Hermione sighed helplessly and affectionately, her hands moving from Amanda's waist to wrap around her neck. "I wonder when you'll learn how to act spoiled? I'm quite looking forward to it."
After saying this, Hermione leaned in and kissed Amanda. Amanda's body stiffened slightly, but then she also reached out to embrace Hermione, and the two girls stood in the room, locked in an embrace.
